I have all 3 THQ and Heavy Iron Scooby Doo games and I absolutely love them. Best Scooby Doo games ever. They are nostalgic, have fun gameplay, memorable monsters, and an insanely catchy soundtrack. These games are my childhood.
I am 26 and recently replayed this after realizing that I never actually beat it as a kid. I love the game! But it's difficulty at certain points as mentioned in this video made me understand why I never beat it. Comforting to know that Pixel got stuck in all the same places that I did. 😂
Also the fact the Mastermind is voiced by Tim Curry is just perfect or that they randomly got Don Knots to voice the grounds keeper is just funny (they even have a joke in the Mastermind fight where he just says is that Don Knots). Honestly i wish they would remake it and continue with this style as if you edit it this does work
One of the first video games I owned. Had no idea the developers of this went on to make the legendary SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom until years later
2:30 Did that Hot Wheels game ever come out? I remember Splinter Cell Chaos Theory included a teaser for the Splinter Cell movie. But that never got off the ground. :P
It did! It's called Hot Wheels: Velocity X but apparently some versions are called Hot Wheels Velocity X: Maximum Justice. They were really trying to make the game sound as badass as possible there weren't they! That's really funny! I didn't know about the Splinter Cell movie!
I'm glad you like it! I will be removing the intro from the videos after these ones though just to see what kind of a difference it makes! Like you said, it might be better to just instantly be into the video rather than having to wait for a good few seconds.
The voice direction for all three games was done by Collette Sunderman, one of the top VO directors over at Hanna-Barbera who worked as the casting director on the DTV movies and What's New, Scooby-Doo
I did TRY to get all Scooby Snacks and I was missing 2 of them. I went round all the levels multiple times and I just could not find those last snacks.
Haven’t played this game yet, Rob, recently got through a decent chunk of Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated and some of the gameplay mechanics in this are similar in my opinion. I’ve never really gotten along with games that offer you different paths to take at once or don’t make it clear where certain items are, suppose you could say I’m more of a linear, ‘this is the path you need to take’ kind of guy haha! Anyway, great video and I’m looking forward to the other Scooby video game reviews. 👍
I attempted to play Rehydrated but I made the mistake of getting it on the Switch and the graphics are absolutely terrible! It kinda put me off of playing it :D From the sounds of it this game probably isn't for you! There's a lot of backtracking and having to remember where you need to use certain items that you'll get access to later. It's a little bit confusing at times to be honest! The other games are pretty interesting in very different ways to this one, so maybe you might end up preferring one of the others! I've actually never played Cyber Chase! I hear that's a good one though, maybe I should check that out in the future!
I've never played any of these Scooby-Doo games when the 6th generation was current but this looks interesting. I'm gonna download the GameCube version and play it via the Dolphin emulator.
Nice! You'll have to let me know what you thought to it! I imagine that the GameCube version looked a bit better than the PS2 version, especially when you're emulating it!

I was surprised by how good they are actually! I didn't expect too much going into them but they're all pretty interesting in their own distinct ways!

I love this game so much, little kid me never figured out the same team dev both did this and BFBB!
They were clearly a really good company to go to for licensed games back then!

the car segment reminded me of those trailers on the pre-game screen on old arcade machines

It’s a great game a bit repetitive but one of my favorites growing up would like to find a copy to play again
Ok. Now I know what you meant by an awesome intro! That’s incredible!

@@PixelPursuit Hoping for all the best!
finally someone talks about this bizarre trilogy
I love the end credits music for this Scooby game 🔥
This was a childhood favorite of mine!
I think a lot of kids that grew up in this era played this! I actually never did though which is weird considering that I liked Scooby Doo!
This game always scared me
Wow GROOVY intro!!!!! Jinkies!!!!
Thank you! My good friend MrPseudonymless will be happy that his animation is being enjoyed :D
@@PixelPursuit Rob it's fantastic. Only the best for your amazing channel (meant to add, I could watch you dance all day!)

As an adult, I 100% agree that the gameplay gets repetitive, but as an 8 year old kid, this game was HARD and overwhelming lol
Nice!
Wondered where my assistant went for a week!
Haha, yeah you can have him back now!

P.S. Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase is my only experience with a video game from this franchise so far, loved playing that growing up!

Rip odd world lol
Haha, I think I've pretty much completely exhausted the videos I can make about Oddworld at this point :D
