I give it to you, you are truly KING OF TALK... I respect your command of English and Yoruba... U make me feel like say na community high school I go 😂😂😂
Senior bros thanks for sharing knowledge, you just encouraged me. I have been seriously struggling for the past two years now but your choice of words revived my negative mind. Streaks of failure can be dangerous at times.
You're right,a lot of times, people are not genuinely happy for other people's success, I've never believed in the idea of 'pepper them' because i believe my success though mine, was giving me by God because no be me sabi do pass,so i don't rub it in anybody face, and even at that i still have people envy for no reason, some of which are even better placed and richer o,now imagine if i go about flaunting, hmmm.
Thank you so much , brother Teju. I'm so much blessed by everything you mentioned and the beautiful songs you always blend with your podcasts. Amazing 👍🏅. Thank you, dear brother, always true talk, wisdom, every time from you. I pray everyone will learn from this and hold on to God and be extra careful, AMEN . Stay happy and blessed, AMEN.
Wisdom from God. That's the feeling I get when i hear you speak. God has given you the gift of wisdom. Thank you for sharing it with the world 😊. We met once at PWD through a mutual friend. I used to live in Airforce base ikeja 😊 a lifetime ago. Keep up the good work, Sir Teju.

Teju baby face, the King of Talk. Thank you so much for your words of a reminder. Yes absolutely The Yoruba People would say (Aiye toto Akamara) "The world at large remains as battlefields and It's not a playing grounds". Ire ooo. SATURDAY 6TH JULY 2024.
@tejubabyface u just made me think about this in a way I have never done b4. Please don't stop this segment of ur podcast....i was really blessed, thank you
While I understand your perspective on this subject matter, some people take significant delight in working for others to succeed. I fall into this category. I have supported more people in getting global scholarships across different countries by mentoring them and supporting their trajectories in their fields of endeavour. The rationale for this was that I was helped by someone to succeed. As Chimamanda Adichie rightly stated in one of her interviews, we should be careful of the dangers of a single narrative. I appreciate your content, and I follow you regularly.
@israelbalogun3062 Thank you very kindly for watching and following. You don't understand my perspective, though, and the fact that you refer to it as "my perspective" is telling. As I must have said in no less than a dozen ways, it's not my perspective. It's age-old wisdom. I mean, are we arguing about the fact that not everyone wants to see us succeed? Surely there's no contest there? The fact that you have worked for many people to succeed does not mean that you will happily work for EVERYONE to succeed. The true test will come when you have the opportunity to work for someone to succeed in getting what you have tried to get but have failed to apprehend repeatedly. Of course, you could still do this and help them, but the crux is that it will not be instinctive or natural. You will, in all likelihood, overcome significant resistance in your mind to achieve that. And if you don't, and you do it cheerfully, then that would make you an exception to the rule, and not the norm, and since we live by the general and not the exception, "your" reality cannot be accepted as "the" reality. At any rate, this is a hyperbolic expression. Are there selfless people in the world? Yes. Are there wicked people, too? Yes. Can the wicked harm you? Yes. Do they exist in significant numbers? Yes. Hence, the license to use hyperbole, and one of the true tests of hyperbole is its ability to pass as a generally acceptable statement. I can reasonably say that NOBODY WANTS YOU TO SUCCEED. Can someone argue and contest it? Sure (you are proof of that), but it is still a statement with merit. If I were to use hyperbole based on your own perspective, though, then I would make a claim such as EVERYONE WANTS TO SEE YOU SUCCEED. Now, does that even begin to approach the reality of life to you? As the Omoluabis say, "eni ore da, ko ma fi se'binu, eni abinibi'n da'ni". He who is betrayed by a friend should temper his anger and devastation by remembering that even those of the same flesh and blood betray each other every day. That anyone would call the philosophy of "be careful, not everyone wants you to succeed" (which is actually the crux of the video if you are able to get it) a single narrative is as shocking as it is surprising, because it would appear that your conclusion is that thousands of years of Yoruba philosophy is in great error. Again, not my perspective. Ọrọ awọn agba ni.
@@theTejubabyfaceWow what a response you’re indeed a rare gem sir!. Just out of curiousity what did you study in school? As a social scientist myself I have to commend your inquiry skill.❤🫡🙌🏿

It seems like there is a typographical error in the above title, please. Is it Nobody or Noboby ?. Thank you for everything you mentioned, it's wonderful.
1 John 2:15-17...Do not love either the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him; 16 because everything in the world-the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life-does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. 17 Furthermore, the world is passing away, and so is its desire, but the one who does the will of God remains forever
...however there' are some specific categories of ppl, not many though, that are gracious and blessed naturally, they don't have any iota of envy, that's is just how the Creator designed them or might be a function of spiritual enlightenment and evolution, it is not a function of conscious efforts, it's an inherent gift....they are very few in numbers amongst mankind of this current dispensation most have evolved spiritually and as ascend to other heaven-like worlds aka ethereal planes..
You didn't sing the baba of them.. aye, aye, aye o o o, aye mo juba o eeeeee, awon to nwa o, won o ri o aye, awon to wa o won o mo o.....by Baba Ogunde
