This sure is some "Hot Pickin"...Thanks for sharing!! Ive been to Greyfox and Falcon Ridge, but never quite got to Telluride. This music Never Gets Old!!! Miss you John Hartford!!🎶🎵🎶.. shout out from Litchfield County Ct..
@@jambonejim1249 It is so very sad isn't it? These guys jam and I mean, the long uncomfortable jam Brian Sutton referred too. The noodling the musicians do between the tunes can be more interesting than a lot of other live music you might pay to see.
I never thought I would see a bassist of Edgar Meyer's calibre playing root-5 on that first tune!!! Edgar has recorded a ton of Bach on the double bass but he can also play what's needed on a standard old bluegrass tune. What a talent...same goes of course for the rest of the players. Thanks a million for posting this.
I play some of this music but these guys are the cream and my mind was blown by each of these guys and their mastery of the genre and their instruments .... wow !!

One of the best blue grass band formation, all players are living legends 👍👍👍
Indeed!
Beautiful musicians & instruments .... wow what a feeling.
We are staying at home because of COVID restrictions. This was a great way to spend an evening with a little Kentucky bourbon. Thanks
2010, The one and only year we made it from TN to Telluride for this festival. Fantastic set.
Thank you to whoever posted this! good quality and such a small amount of views...people just don't know how good bluegrass is
You're very welcome, sir! :)
Many years on and still only 40k., "people just don't know how good bluegrass is".

43k today.. my last video has 3 at the moment... no worries mate
mine aren't nearly as much fun.. science is... only fun when you don't actually make a living with it.. bluegrass is fun all the time

Awsome thanks , they always been great., maybe close to fantastic., i was there, but i missed this show.
The cream of the Bluegrass musicians and they were having fun, those fans really got their money's worth
Damn near perfect, I'd say...
Sin duda lo mejor, Jerry Douglas, Sam, Bela... saludos desde El Salvador
Ain't noth'n better than camping in the Blue Ridge, bringing some fiddles etc and enjoying the day.
Rockies * , not blue ridge.
ah man, this was great all along but that last innuendo-laden song killed me
(in a good way)

😵💫 🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸
They need to do a tour as the Telluride House Band.
They have a CD out as "Strength In Numbers" except with Mark O'Connor on violin (and he used to play guitar for them a bit).
Stuart Duncan, Bela Fleck, Edgar Meyer, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, dunno the git player… not too bad… not too bad atall fer a "house band." (wink wink)
guitar player is Bryan Sutton.
+dagnab Bryan Sutton is the guitar player.
Close to fantastic? I guess everybody's a critic! ;)
Look how thin Jerry was back then!
log jam ... sounds uncomfortable
rough start, I guess it's just what I'm hearing very tinny sound. When did Stew get so fat. Damn GMO"s. Could not listen anymore it's hurting my ears.
+For the love of the truth .The Newgrass Revival already plugged in in the early eighties.
