For any of you thinking of buying this pedal: it's a great pedal but it is not intuitive. Start off with just the 2 footswitches on the left illuminated RED and all other lights off (i.e. original Fender Blender mode). You can then use the 4 dial controls on the RIGHT (not left) to get the classic fuzz sound (e.g. Hendrix). When you are happy with the classic fuzz sound you can then start playing with the crazy stuff. Also, the signal from your single coil pickup may not be strong enough to trigger the Sag feature in which case it will need something to boost it.
This shouldn't make sense but you guys highlighted the features better than Kevin Shields did. And you got the glide guitar thing down. Awesome demo, great job
Ok so, despite the 500 £ price tag, in less than 5 hours after the release, the pedal was sold out. And in less than 2 days, you can find the pedal for 1,500 £ on Reverb... I really wish that Fender will release a basic version of the pedal cause I'm sick of all those speculators who don't a give a shit about the sound, MBV, shoegaze, music in general or anything anyway. They're here to 1) grab the pedal as fast as they can (and by doing so, prevent true enthusiasts from getting it.) 2) make money with and that's it. Both models for sale I've seen were still sealed so, no possibility of "I've tried it and it's not my thing"... I Hope I'll meet some of those despickable soulless swindlers one day...

Just got one of the non-limited edition pedals - is the far left switch BYPASS supposed to be a lot stiffer and give a deeper press than the others? Or is mine a bit wonky? It was very resistant when I first tried it, I thought initially it had broken when it first was pressed - although functionally it still seems to work. Thanks
I got the 2000's reissue when it first came out and was disappointed by the headroom. I had to turn all the knobs up to get it to unity gain. Are you having the same experience with this one?
Shields mentions in the interview that the reissues got part of the circuit wrong but Fender didn't believe him until he actually sent them his personal original blender.
yes, the higher octave is selectable as shown in the video & the pedal has two modes. in the original blender mode you can have a non-octave vintage fuzz or turn the higher octave on if you wish. in the new octave blender mode, you can dial down the sub-octave so it isn't present or can span three octaves: sub-octave, fuzz signal & higher octave switch.
it's a good pedal to own, Although I didn't get the Limited Edition but I managed to get the Standed one and I tell is a the best pedal That I have ever have used :)
Cool but I prefer basic and small pedals for octavio Jim Dunlop Billy Gibbons doing great job with eq channel also silicon or germanium fuzz is good for fuzz .
@@AScoppa You're right, Skippy. It's definitely more for you Machine Gun Kelly clones. Does it plug straight into your autotune, or is that a separate signal? Now all you need is one of those robo-tuning Les Pauls so you don't have to take it to Guitar Center every time you're out of tune. 🤣

Iirc that reissue was notoriously kinda shitty. I would suspect this one does not have that issue

So you can have straight fuzz without octave? And then your choice of sub or octave up and the octave blend mode?
