OMGosh, this is a bit of a "terrifying" round. It may be traveling slower, but the way it just explodes/shatters when it hits the solid objects is incredible. I'm aware that most round flatten or spald when they hit a solid surface, which is why we always talk about getting Spalding/shrapnel damage to the neck or arms when wearing metal plate armor. But this round breaks actually seems to shatter in an "explosive way--making it much more devastating and lethal for the area that gets sprayed with its shrapnel. This round almost acts like a combination of a FMJ, hollow point, and the R.I.P rounds all mixed into one, because it punches through, flowers, and leaves metal fragments in its target all at once. Prime example is when it hits the Gummy bear--the cavity expansion was massive. Then on top of that, the round still had enough power to go through and completely wreck that vest. Granted, it wasn't a standard gel-block, but still impressive. I would be interested to see a few more tests done with this round. 1. Shoot a standard Gel-block with a brand new vest behind it. It'd be nice to see the FMJ, HP, and R.I.P combination in full effect, and I am curious if the fatter portion would still go through a standard block and hit the Kev vest and what damage it would still do to the vest. 2. Shoot a new vest by itself to measure the full effects it has on armor. Basically what I am trying to say is, this new homemade-round is impressive and if it were tweeked so that is flew straighter (and maybe a little faster) there would be a new mega round on the block--that's my opinion anyway. And I could only imagine the military, law enforcement and home defense applications this type of round would have... and also what kind of legal issues one might have to worry about if used
I had to point about de monetization comment in the end, kudos to keep honest with your supporters, I hope nobody that helps need to back it now, u sure deserve your followers.

Lead wire, or blank slugs are used, but other materials like zinc or sand, plastics, wood, wax, glue, and even water has been used in making projectiles like these. I make my own 9mm, 38, 40, 45's and they make good "plinking" and practice ammo. You can also use 45acp or any 7.62 case or 308 or 30.06 case in 50cal muzzleloaders.
God bless Danny. These older videos just feel more nostalgic and lighthearted.
Finding those bullets at a crime scene would really confuse forensics
Danny's little Yeet gave me a laugh and made my day
I had to go back and make sure I heard that right xD
SAMEEE I DUNNO WHY PEOPLE ARENT AKNOWLEDGING IT
I was gonna go the opposite way and say if Danny never said yeet ever again, we would still like him🤣 made me laugh too tho
A "Yeet" and a finger wiggle from Danny. A good day indeed.
It’d be interesting to see the after effects on the rifling after having brass casings flying down the barrel. Super cool concept, and great video!
It's probably less harsh on the barrel than shooting solid xtreme penetrators
I have used S&B 9mm with brass jacketed bullets. You get gold plated rifling instead of copper.
This is a great video! When I saw the prototype bullet still have the case with the markings on the bottom I had the nostalgic feeling of being a little kid and thinking the whole case came out the end of the barrel not just the projectile.
I must say that's genius solution to a very common issue. Hats off.
Damn that thing is no joke! Would love to see a part 2 with full power loadings and a long barrel.
Just started video .. am assuming issues with accuracy .. no lead to engage rifling to spin
@@darunealbane it’s been a long time since the video and your comment but I am very curious as to why you think you need lead to engage rifling? Most bullets, even hollowpoints, have a metal jacket, usually copper but sometimes brass. Even home made bullets have hard cast and wax lubed lead bullets because regular lead will foul the barrel too much.
"full pass through, all three jugs." that reminds me, I haven't seen Total Recall in a long time.
Arnold's or the remake?
I heard the remake was a total flop! Not worth the watch. Too much CGI and bad acting. Just go watch the original one again if you want a refresher.
Sharon Stone is insanely hot in the original
I see what you did there... 😁

Very ingenious of Sopwith
Awesome footage and Dead Eye Red nails it again

@@davidgruen7423 Really? Cause if so, this... doesn't seem like it solves the problem. Certainly makes them more recycleable, so to speak, but not much else.
If they ban ammo and firearms then people will be MAKING them out of homedepot parts, full auto. We could even see new technology or LASER guns. Shit happens when people are denied what they already know and have owned for years. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it type stuff
R.I.P danny! Cant believe ive missed this video, only 2 years late, awesome experiment guys 👌🏾👍🏽
I like this kind of stuff. Creativity is a beautiful thing when used for good!
Gotta love Florida Man in ALL his forms!
usually a mugshot if he survived his exploits hahaha
You have to test these out of a Rifle.
i am really impressed how good these worked
The rather odd and also rather convenient thing about this video is that I got an ad for bulletproof body armor along with it.
Missing Danny😢
rest in peace buddy
For all making jokes about the round, the gyrojet was a gun that shot the entire bullet, and casing from the gun itself like a missle lol.

This has so many Cave Johnson vibes to it. "We fire the whole bullet! That's 65% more bullet per bullet."

You can make your own with match heads
And powder!
At 6:02 when he said "yeet" I felt that 😤
OMGosh, this is a bit of a "terrifying" round.
And I could only imagine the military, law enforcement and home defense applications this type of round would have... and also what kind of legal issues one might have to worry about if used
The expansion on those rounds are nuts lol.
Great video as always 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😉
Thank you very much Horst!!

I was sold on this concept entirely because of the "PSHEWSHWSHW" mouth effect at 0:29.
Mannyca here on YT did a bunch of these kinds of loadings. Used standard rifle dies and Lee sizer dies. Fully anneal the brass you are going to turn into bullets.
Good comment...I was wondering if that would be hard on the forcing cone and rifling. Annealing should soften it up enough.
