Ok so, I acknowledge that Secret of the Wings is objectively cute, but even as a kid, the plot holes bothered me *so* much lol. Like they LITERALLY flew through the woods, giving tinker bell a tour, still wearing the fluffy dandelion dress. I liked the design of the winter lady too, and she was just, scrapped forever. Oh well, Peri’s cute, and at least the winter fairies be repping the short hair girlies (which seems super backwards weather wise..? But I digress.)
I mean not only did they fly very above they did it very fast just to give the newcomer an idea of what it's like About the Minister of Winter and the Snowflake fairies we see in previous movies I believe they're capable of going to the warm seasons due to them pratically being made of that ice protection and they didn't show up later due to not being needed in that time (they just doesn't show characters if they're not relevent to the plot probably to save the budget) but they do have their own homes around the wintery areas (In the Pixie Hollow World game we can see the Minister of Winter and where she resides)

There's a bit of backstory in the books about Lizzy's father - he met a fairy when he was a kid, but was told that fairies aren't real and that he needs to grow up. As an adult he believed that encounter was just his imagination.

The warm side of neverland seems to be the home of the "sweet summer children," so to speak, whereas winter is older, and colder, than we may ever know. The fact that Queen Clarion and Lord Melori were once involved romantically is probably the closest thing Neverland has ever had to a "steamy" romance.
I think the reason why she still had dust was because of the bag the faries have... the last time she left with a half empty bag, if I remember right. There's a high chance it was full this time.

One thing that bothers me about Secret of the Wings is that Tinker Bell flew into the winter woods in the first movie during her tour of pixie hollow. Winter fairies were in the warm seasons and Tinker Bell had the option to get a snowflake instead of the hammer.

7:10 maybe it's just me but if one of my parents gave me a book on rocks and different insects and stuff, I would've been overjoyed. especially one they made themselves? (if I remember right, he said he made those journals himself? i could be wrong). they would've become my most prized possession edit because I'm rewatching the video: 6:04 while making an umbrella for them is a good idea in theory, I feel like that would actually be kinda hard to do, considering the rain drops look to be just about or if not close to the same size as the fairies, and if that is the case, there's only so many materials tink could get to create an umbrella that would not only be easy for them to carry around (so it has to be pretty light in weight) but also withstand the force of those raindrops, which clearly have more force than the fairies can handle, judging by the way Vidia fell after getting hit by one, she hit the ground seemingly pretty hard, and yeah that could be because she just fell out of the sky, but the raindrop propelled her even faster to the ground. having said this, if umbrellas were made, they couldn't be made out of things like leaves or anything, it would have to be something more solid, and it doesn't seem like they have the material, or at least not an abundance of any material they could use to make it. point is, tink probably can't make any kind of umbrella both durable and easily convenient. love ur video lmao it's really good, you just asked a question that I decided to put way too much thought into correction, rewatching the movie, the raindrops aren't as big as I thought, but they're still definitely too big and have too much force for most easily attainable material they could use.

Man, The Great Fairy Rescue is unironically one of my absolute favorite movies of all time, if not my number one movie. It carries so much nostalgia to me. That movie’s message to me was about childhood wonder, which always makes me cry. I rewatched it not too long ago and started bawling to the “How to believe” song. It’s such a beautiful movie🥲❤️

Tinkerbell would never have met Lizzy if Vidia hadn't asked her, "You're not going near the human house, are you?" The movie "Epic" is very similar to this movie, except in "Epic," it's the DAD who's fascinated and obsessed with magical creatures, and it's the GIRL who doubts him and she shrinks and becomes one of them (the tiny people). But the last act is similar in both films: where they have to get the dad to believe in the magical creatures. For some reason, in my "Great Fairy Rescue" coloring book, it said that Lizzy was an eight-year-old girl, and I thought, "She literally said, 'I'm nine.' You don't know your own movie, Disney?"
Great fairy rescue is always gonna be my favourite because I was so much like the little girl when I was younger. I wanted fairies to be real so badly I used to write letters to my tooth fairy 😭😭
Now that I think about it, it doesn't really make sense that Winter Fairies are kept separate and isolated from the rest of the other fairies. Because they're fairies of the cold and can't tolerate higher temperatures? By that logic, shouldn't Summer Fairies also be isolated from the rest of Pixie Hollow?
There were some short clips of the fairies, mostly Tink, released before the movies came out. There is also a Great Fairy Games self standing episode that is mostly about Rosetta. Please be sure to watch those!
I agree that Butterflies are the best bug and this is coming from someone with a fear of bugs. Although I do usually avoid Butterflies because their wings are so fragile. Also my favorite season is winter too but that's probably because I live in Australia and Summer here is pure hell.
i think fairies just vanish or fades like they do not just technically die if no one believes in them theyre gone like that so i think thats why they help lizzy for her father to have a belief again.

When trying to figure out when Peter Pan fits into the Tinkerbell movies, I think it's after the great fairy rescue because that's when she teaches the little girl how to fly and in Peter Pan uses pixie dust to get all the kids to fly to Neverland so since they live in Neverland and they have all the pixie dust and in this film she uses it to teach little girl how to fly, it probably comes after this. Also in regards to the pixie dust, if her and Terrence are dating maybe he just gave her like a lot of pixie dust because they were going to the mainland after all they needed a lot of pixie dust for all the things that they are doing, so it would make sense that she had a lot of pixie dust with her
I think pixie dust energy or whatever stretches more than we know BUT the one thing all the Peter Pan lore says about the key to flying with pixie dust is to think happy thoughts(something about them making you lighter or something?). Starfire in the OG Teen Titans animated series lost her ability to fly since it requires "the unbridled joy of flight" ergo happy feelings. When Tinker Bell ran out of flight during the great fairy rescue it happened when she was lost, starving, and very unhappy. It might be that the pixie dust loses it's juice more quickly over time the more negative thoughts cloud your brain making you lose flight capabilities faster. The more you can focus on positive thoughts and feelings the longer it lasts, but naturally nobody can be all happy all the time so...yeah. Pixie dust may well last plenty longer than 1 single day, especially if it's not being constantly used for flight and stuff, provided you ain't got a bunch of negativity weighing you down. They might just top off as a precaution to keep from totally running themselves out for flight. Hell, Tinker fairies may run out the juice of their pixie dust more slowly in general since their special gift may be much less magically demanding as nature fairy gifts(since they can't use their gifts when they're out of dust yet Tinkers still can). Overall there's a lot of factors that could potentially be affecting the rate at which a dose of pixie dust runs outta juice than what's explained(and they don't really explain much about it throughout the series even in the Pirate Fairy movie as far as how long it takes to use up the magic of pixie dust). It's never made explicitly clear how that all's supposed to work.
Agreed, i know where people are from because Vidia slammed the door and stuff and i used to be like them but Vidia isn't to the blame, Tinkerbell is to the blame for her disasters (i'm glad Vidia was honest to the others during the adventure though even though again she isn’t to the blame for the disasters Tinkerbell have created) She warned Tinkerbell about the humans for multiple times and thought she did the right thing, poor Vidia😢😢
Fairy lore dump! 1. Fairies only need one cup of dust every 24 hours which they generally get in the morning (see first movie). In The Lost Treasure, Tink was already low on body dust when she left and lost her spare dust. In Great Fairy Rescue, she is captured in the morning shortly after getting dust. 2. Fairies are generally considered immortal along with the rest of Neverland. However they have a weakness- children who stop believing, lead to the death of a fairy. While other children can help save dying fairies, eventually disbelief catched up to every fairy. They definitely do not live to a thousand, as stated in the final movie of the series. 3. In the books they state that the laugh a fairy is born of can be 'broken' in the journey, resulting in a psychologically incomplete fairy. The first movie hints to this when Tink's laugh hits the dandelion, which is why she was uncertain about her talent when all other fairies are born certain. Secret of the Wings expanded cleverly on this lore by having Tink's missing part still become a fairy. 4. The books take place in a post apocalyptic Pixie Hollow! Sadly, an awful disaster that shall not be named led to Pixie Hollow's autumn and winter realms entirely ceasing to exist. The pixie dust tree was also destroyed and they ended up getting dust from a magical dove's feathers instead. This made Secret of the Wings sooo tense for me because that could legit have been the way they lost so much. Pixie Hollow is now much smaller and most fairies live in the Home Tree, which grew where the Dust Tree once was. 5. Ruling is also a fairy talent! But talents only appear as they are needed, so a new queen will only be born as an old one fades.

My headcannon for a long time, has been that they were born on February 29th.
Now that I think about it, it doesn't really make sense that Winter Fairies are kept separate and isolated from the rest of the other fairies. Because they're fairies of the cold and can't tolerate higher temperatures? By that logic, shouldn't Summer Fairies also be isolated from the rest of Pixie Hollow?
There were some short clips of the fairies, mostly Tink, released before the movies came out. There is also a Great Fairy Games self standing episode that is mostly about Rosetta. Please be sure to watch those!
I agree that Butterflies are the best bug and this is coming from someone with a fear of bugs. Although I do usually avoid Butterflies because their wings are so fragile. Also my favorite season is winter too but that's probably because I live in Australia and Summer here is pure hell.

When trying to figure out when Peter Pan fits into the Tinkerbell movies, I think it's after the great fairy rescue because that's when she teaches the little girl how to fly and in Peter Pan uses pixie dust to get all the kids to fly to Neverland so since they live in Neverland and they have all the pixie dust and in this film she uses it to teach little girl how to fly, it probably comes after this. Also in regards to the pixie dust, if her and Terrence are dating maybe he just gave her like a lot of pixie dust because they were going to the mainland after all they needed a lot of pixie dust for all the things that they are doing, so it would make sense that she had a lot of pixie dust with her

I think pixie dust energy or whatever stretches more than we know BUT the one thing all the Peter Pan lore says about the key to flying with pixie dust is to think happy thoughts(something about them making you lighter or something?).
Starfire in the OG Teen Titans animated series lost her ability to fly since it requires "the unbridled joy of flight" ergo happy feelings.
When Tinker Bell ran out of flight during the great fairy rescue it happened when she was lost, starving, and very unhappy.
It might be that the pixie dust loses it's juice more quickly over time the more negative thoughts cloud your brain making you lose flight capabilities faster. The more you can focus on positive thoughts and feelings the longer it lasts, but naturally nobody can be all happy all the time so...yeah.
Pixie dust may well last plenty longer than 1 single day, especially if it's not being constantly used for flight and stuff, provided you ain't got a bunch of negativity weighing you down.
They might just top off as a precaution to keep from totally running themselves out for flight.
Hell, Tinker fairies may run out the juice of their pixie dust more slowly in general since their special gift may be much less magically demanding as nature fairy gifts(since they can't use their gifts when they're out of dust yet Tinkers still can).
Overall there's a lot of factors that could potentially be affecting the rate at which a dose of pixie dust runs outta juice than what's explained(and they don't really explain much about it throughout the series even in the Pirate Fairy movie as far as how long it takes to use up the magic of pixie dust).
It's never made explicitly clear how that all's supposed to work.

Agreed, i know where people are from because Vidia slammed the door and stuff and i used to be like them but Vidia isn't to the blame, Tinkerbell is to the blame for her disasters (i'm glad Vidia was honest to the others during the adventure though even though again she isn’t to the blame for the disasters Tinkerbell have created)
She warned Tinkerbell about the humans for multiple times and thought she did the right thing, poor Vidia😢😢
Fairy lore dump!
1. Fairies only need one cup of dust every 24 hours which they generally get in the morning (see first movie). In The Lost Treasure, Tink was already low on body dust when she left and lost her spare dust. In Great Fairy Rescue, she is captured in the morning shortly after getting dust.
2. Fairies are generally considered immortal along with the rest of Neverland. However they have a weakness- children who stop believing, lead to the death of a fairy. While other children can help save dying fairies, eventually disbelief catched up to every fairy. They definitely do not live to a thousand, as stated in the final movie of the series.
3. In the books they state that the laugh a fairy is born of can be 'broken' in the journey, resulting in a psychologically incomplete fairy. The first movie hints to this when Tink's laugh hits the dandelion, which is why she was uncertain about her talent when all other fairies are born certain. Secret of the Wings expanded cleverly on this lore by having Tink's missing part still become a fairy.
4. The books take place in a post apocalyptic Pixie Hollow! Sadly, an awful disaster that shall not be named led to Pixie Hollow's autumn and winter realms entirely ceasing to exist. The pixie dust tree was also destroyed and they ended up getting dust from a magical dove's feathers instead. This made Secret of the Wings sooo tense for me because that could legit have been the way they lost so much. Pixie Hollow is now much smaller and most fairies live in the Home Tree, which grew where the Dust Tree once was.
5. Ruling is also a fairy talent! But talents only appear as they are needed, so a new queen will only be born as an old one fades.
