Your son's song is just itching for a darkcore/breakbeat remix.
I think the biggest case of me buying a game for it's theme/art, but not really playing it is Cryptic Explorers. Very black metal-inspired. Came with a book of fiction. The lore is goddamn amazing .

Cryptic explorers is a beautiful game. If they do a reprint, I'll be tempted. If it's with a solo expansion, it's a done deal.
I am definitely planning to use my son's songs in my own industrial songs. His voice is so much more interesting than my standard industrial baritone.

doom pilgrim reminds me a bit of odin quest and Anselm Kiefer.
If you haven't yet, check them out.

The second Todd Sanders game mentioned in the comments. I've added it to my list.

Just played second time Forgotten depths and i love the art. I bought the game with my eyes. Fun to play as well. Death on fourth tile😂. Same feelings about the combat, thinking about come up with some home rules tweaking it a bit.

"I bought the game with my eyes." Ha exactly what I did! But then I also want to keep it around because it looks so nice the fun dungeon building part

Thank you for another very interesting video! Have you seen the art in Dungeon Degenerates? I really didn't like it. SO much that I got rid of the game.

@@Mussar523 I'm sorry. I'm not getting notifications for comments to my comments, only to the video.
I have Gloom of Kilforth on my table right now! I really enjoy it. I think I'm going to record a review of it soon. I agree that the art is beautiful, definitely unique to the series.

@@JAlanRykerGames Thank you for getting back to me. I want to get back to that game also. I am actually trying Dark Souls now. I am not sure if that meets your criteria or not but I would be certainly interested to know your thoughts on it. Also I would be interested in your thoughts about Resident Evil the newest edition from 2023 if you have any opinion about it.

@@Mussar523 so dark souls, first, has amazing art. I considered it but decided not to go with it since I think most is lifted straight from the video game. But those video games years later are so beautiful, which such weird yet cohesive worlds (though I understand the individual designers had a lot of freedom). Dark Souls is in my listicle of board games that are better than their rep, one of my earliest videos. I think that the original way to play would have been too long for me, but the tweaks the community made that SFG adopted into their new versions, I really enjoy the game. Resident Evil, unfortunately, I don't have. I like the look of it, but can say no more.
