Sure he might have good kicks but the moment the kid gets into it with an average boxer he's getting wrecked. Also, cool that he's a karate world champ he should post videos about karate and not stuff he doesn't understand. Staying in your lane is beneficial to yourself and others that will potentially learn from you.
      Edit: I started off in taekwondo and I absolutely loved it but like many others who have tried boxing after tkd, I was humbled very quickly. As soon as decent boxers got in the pocket and put combinations together I couldn't do anything in that range. Every single martial artist should find a good boxing gym and put in at least a year of learning it.

    In Muay Thai, the athletes are overwhelmingly strong rather than the competition is strong. For Muay Thai fighters from Thailand, Muay Thai is an escape from poverty. From an early age, they aspire to win. A warrior rather than a player.

    • @Creatic58
      @Creatic58 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree. However as a Muay thai fighter, Thai is slowly going to become a dying art, and that’s a good thing.
      The reason why Muay Thai was so powerful was because of the poverty thing you said. People had to fight in order for their families to eat. Now Thailand is becoming a better country with an improved economy. Parents no longer need to send their children off to fight to feed the family. Obviously still some families still do that because poverty doesn’t end that quickly, but in 20-30 years most people who do Muay Thai will be older or doing it for fun without the passion to become the best. Parents now in Thailand want to send their children to football clubs or other sports because they don’t want them to suffer like they did.
      If Muay Thai dying means poverty no more, I’m all for it

      @ibrock476 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PishPishoto Yes! Brother BUT! The fighting stance is very much different. In boxing you're like a stone castle hard to break, because both of your arms tucked in your hips and guard your head at all times, while you move your upper body like the shape of number 8 sideways. This is what you call Infighters for example (Mike Tyson).
      There is another type... Outfighters They Strike and Dodge, Very clean and fast footwork, good head movements and are best at countering a punch. For example (Muhammad Ali).
      But in Muay Thai your stance is wide open, punches, kicks, elbows, knees, forearm strike, could fly at any time.
      In Muay Thai you use almost all of your body. And Muay Thai fighters can fight both close range and mid range, and this also a problem for boxers because boxing only focus on punches, footwork, and head movements. Knees, Elbows and Powerful Kicks can break your defense very easy.
      So yes bro it impact SO MUCH! and i even add a couple of combos in my boxing. Left Jab, Right Cross, Left Elbow, Right Hook, Left Body Hook, and Right Uppercut. Sometimes i add kicks aswell.

      you forget that elbows and clinch work are a big part of muay thai. elbows are extremely effective in a street fight since they are quick and powerful (if you have training of course lol) a simple mix of both of these fighting techniques will have you set

    I love both but I’m with boxing all the way personally, better stance, way better hands which is the most popular strike in a fight. I love the head movement as well. Muay Thai has most of those but idk it’s not my cup of tea

    • @knuckles1546
      @knuckles1546 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Well yes, in our martial art head movement is less important than positioning and blocks (at least my master taught me this way); besides, we have different footwork, a much more stable one, which is not necessarily better, nor worse

      Better stance isn’t true imo, the boxing stance is very vulnerable to low kicks and single leg takedowns

      @MachineGunIt Better to not take a punch to the face in any part except forehead. The way your face reacts to a punch is almost purely genetics and you can't really condition your way out of a soft chin to an extent. Maybe the initial conditioning of getting used to the pain and shock of it and neck training to keep the head attached? The rest would just be how you're built.
      Also it's just not good for your health and for your mind to be trying to tank hits to the face so might as well train positioning and head movement, mainly pulls, slips and entering clinch and general evasion from a high standup position.
