I'm pretty confident that Anuraj saw that he couldn't castle with his king and thought that that meant that to castle you need to move the rook to the f8 square and I like to believe that he was surprised to see that his king remained in the same square.

I won that game (by pure luck I'm pretty sure it was either a mouse slip or he got scared with his advantage and I was higher rated than him) in the end the best player came out on top(because in chess skill is a useful tool but luck is the best tool)

The explanation for the game is: Michael doesn't know how to capture with pawns. He didn't capture exd5, nor cxb6, nor dxc5, nor, of course, hxg4.
