ALLDAYANTHONY Cant wait man if you have any mods in mind for the car you should make like unboxing & installs that could be cool too for future content !
I have been lucky when I bought mine back in 06 I had a company car that I drove m-f and only drove the evo on the weekend till today. I'm at 50K miles.
That's awesome! I used to try and save miles on my evo, but then one day I was like YOLO! Not gonna let this car go to waste so I drive it as much as I can
Fuck MPG. Fun driving and turning heads are priceless. Lol. I will drive it on a very sunny day up in the British Columbia mountains or Jasper park Alberta where its awd capability can be put to a very fun test.
@@kayjay4060 I've been in H22's' B16s, GSR's. They forsure can take a beating especially bouncing off limiter. They are fun in a hatch because it feels like a go kart.
I'm stuck between an Evo 9 or a 13' Audi S5. If you don't mind me asking how many miles did your Evo have when you picked it up and how much $$ have you thrown into it with maintenance costs since you had it ? Not so much mods but things the car needed. I really REALLY want an Evo but I hear a lot of negative stuff about the engine and maintenance. I had a bad experience with my RSX in the beginning and don't want to go through a bad time again so your opinion will help me decide my future car :)
Hey Anthony, good stuff as always! I’m enjoying the civic build but I sure do miss the constant evo vlogs! I just uploaded my first Evo Vlog to document my build. Feel free to check it out, I should have plenty of content in the next few weeks as it all comes together! Thanks, Josh
Perfect video. I liked and subscribed, what do you think about this car for a first car? (im 16) and why is it bad to launch the car? and im 6 foot 2, will i have enough room?
The evo would be a terrible first car lol. Launching isn't great for any car unless its built to do that. Even though the evo has it as a function, it's stock internals are not meant to be launched constantly. I'm 6'1, so you should be fine
Here's the thing, Mitsubishi designed these cars to be used in rally races and street racing and ally drivers really need to know what's happening with their cars when driving so that's one of the reasons why it shakes a lot, also it supposed to do well in all 4 seasons because well like I said again it's a rally car. These cars aren't meant for daily use, mostly for the weekends or casual night rides. A classic thing with these cars is that thier built to last as well, so if you're buying it off a secondhand buyer, beware there might be something wrong with it and you'll need to get it checked.
Just got quoted $1,243 to insure an MR and I really feel like there trynna fuck me cause Ik damn well there can't be any evo owner possibly paying anything near that bs of a quote
no honest;y they are pricey to insure! due to the amount of people wrecking them. 1.2k is pretty cheap for insurance on them. in the uk it's nearly impossible to insure an evo 7/8/9 because of the whole reputation of people not being able to drive them. even the police had them but kept wrecking them lol
Introducing this topic 13 years after its release is a bit late to the game dont you think? As far as a DD, a non modded EVO (rare bird for sure ) would be OK as a DD. Once modded, would make it undesirable for me. Thumbs up!
I would consider the car to be pretty timeless and will probably still be pretty relevant 20 years from now. A 93 Supra for example, is still relevant 23 years later haha. Thanks for the input!
Bro!! Thank you so much for your honesty
Mrpollo4g63t haha just gotta be real
ALLDAYANTHONY i am plaining to get a loan for a 9! But i dont know if the bank will do it since is 11years old now! :/ it will not be my daily tho..
i get really good mpg for under 70mph, easy over 300miles per tank, car madr 405whp on cbrd mustang dyno 93 octane.
So underrated 😂😂💯💯this is my guy for any evo conversation !
$30 to fill a tank?! Oh America. Costs me like £60/$80 to fill my VW Golf with normal fuel
Way more evo vids man !!! Planning on getting one myself been wanting one for so long so i wanna know what im getting into lol
haha you got it man! Winter is coming, so the evo will make more appearances

Great video! I love my Evo and everything you said is spot on! I wish that you never have to sell your Evo for what ever reasons!
Thanks man! You're my #1 evovlog fan :) I hope it goes with me to the grave!

more evo content plz
Working on it :)
ma man!
Thinking about getting an Evo 8 as a daily to replace my WRX. Any new owner tips.
Always keep up on maintenance, don't launch the car, don't hot rod it 24/7. Treat it right and it will treat you right :)
don't launch it? :'-(
haha, maybe once or twice..but make sure you get it on video so you have proof that you did it :)
Yeah, don't

A review without the infamous u turn of an R-V length? Is this really an Evo Review? xD :P
“..don’t be a bitch about it.” 😂
i think my Gen 1 speed 3 gets almost the same fuel economy. but its stock. 80 miles in 1/4 tank. but i reaaaaaaaally want an evo 9.
do it evo’s are legendary and you’ll love the awd
Those mustangs are crowd killers for sure. ...and first, because thats important.
People always talking about gun control, but I think we all know what we really need to control...
What you think would be better to daily and build power in, a evo 9 or a 14 5.0 ?

Did you know how to drive manual prior to getting the Evo? Would like to learn beforehand haha
+Eryz Canlas haha yes I did. I learned on my old civic

ok thank you, is it too fast for a first car?
@@everythingjdm544 kinda curious if you got one or not
90k a year ? or am i wrong
Is the reliability close or like a early 90s honda also does it need a tune with just an intake upgrade like the sti ?
I would always recommend a tune...but with that said I know bros that have been running bolt on mods and stock tune for years and years.
30$ to fill an evo man thats fuckin cheap
At the time I made this video, I think Premium was 2.20 where I live lol. Now its pushing 3.40

eastwestsouth Look on the upside, I'd have to pay almost double that for a ford ka 1.3 due to me being a new driver ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
eastwestsouth is that a year or 6 months?
eastwestsouth if thats monthly......WOW!
