Yes, you can send the shirt out for focused ion beam (FIB) ink removal after an electron microscope scan of the fibers. The $60,000 cost though just makes buying a new blank shirt a better plan most of the time.
@ 1:54 you compare 2 shirts a triblend and a 100% cotton bella canvas. Those 2 prints look totally different. Not sure if it is the camera but the shirt on the right looks really bad compared to the shirt of the left. You said that you didn't see a difference. In this video there is a huge difference in quality. I love the 3001 bella for my dtg. I wish you showed the shirts with the designs on them so that we could see the quality of the print.
Hi there! Within the close up at 1:54, the one on the left side is our 100% cotton tee and the one on the right is a competitor brand. We are comparing how DTG printing works between our tee versus a competitor brand, which can explain why the one on the right (competitor brand) doesn't hold the ink very well after being washed. Hope this clears things up!
Hello! This is the BELLA+CANVAS TH-cam channel! We partnered with TeeFury for this video. You can visit our website at www.bellacanvas.com, we have tons of sku's great for DTG printing!
DTG works best on 100% cotton, but as this video shows, our Triblends print great too! As for pretreatment, it depends on the machine you are using. All machine manufacturers use proprietary pretreatment, because some DTG machines print over wet pretreatment solution (Kornit) and others dry the pretreatment solution before printing by using a heat press (Brother). It's a bit risky to attempt to use a generic pretreatment. Someone would have to do a lot of experimentation to determine if you could get away with using some generic solution. Generic pretreatment solutions are out there, you just need to be cautious.
@@BELLACANVASOFFICIAL Got a GTX, and we're interested in a little higher quality triblend like the 3413C, but wondering how many grams of pretreat is needed for a full-color print? Thanks
I'm having some issues with my DTG printing. I don't think it's the shirt but it may be the pretreat. I can't tell. Is there someone at Bella I can speak to for some more specialized assistance?
Hi Matthew, we recommend directing your questions to the manufacturer of your DTG machine. Every machine is different so the DTG manufacturer will be able to give you better advice than we can when it comes to the specifics.

What happens to any waste misprints?
Is it possible to remove the ink or image and reuse the t-shirt?
