    Thank you! Explains why my Printful garments colours looked washed out and dull. I thought it was because its a black hoodie instead of a white one. Will try changing to CMYK and use pdf instead of PNG file and see how I go.

    Can you help me to clarify one of the biggest request that I have with my customers?
    Why does the ink comes out when I wash the black/color shirt? I am using the right kind of primer and letting it dry correctly, but after 1 or 2 times washing the t-shirt the ink starts comming off from the fabric...

      The files need to be converted to a format the DTG printer can read and execute. So YES you will additional software which comes with the DTG printer. It is really easy to use.

    Hello! this was such an informative video, so extremely helpful. I just have one question. JPEG's you said always have a background, but it can still be used if you want to print the design without the background if you're printer has the ability to remove it. My question is, does the Ricoh 2000 have that ability? Also, that unwanted background can also be removed in photoshop.. if so, will the design print out without one? So what i am asking clearly lol is.. I understood when you said that, that regardless of removing the background in photoshop, unless its removed in the printer software, JPEG images will always print with a background. is that correct? thanks again!

    I have a question. Can DTG printers typically print SVG files? Or does it have to be saved as a PNG once you're done changing stuff?

    • @ricomatv

      You can only save it as a PNG or TIFF file!

    Actually your missing a big issue, cmyk color from RGB colors fade on black which always make a dull faded print - Bright green comes out dull green , how do you fix this?

    • @ricomatv
      @ricomatv  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The issue you're describing is a common challenge when converting RGB colors to CMYK for print, especially when dealing with vibrant or neon colors. We recommend looking into the following:
      1. Use a Larger Color Gamut
      2. Select Pantone or Spot Colors
      3. Adjust the Design for CMYK
      4. Use a Professional Design Software

    Can i share psd file for printing process ?

    • @ricomatv
      @ricomatv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most printers do not directly print from the open file (.psd or .psb) which is the photoshop's native format. Therefore it is better to export the file in a printer friendly format and photoshop is capable of doing it.

    300+ppi was a standard minimum. I also like to work in vector files when possible. another reason to dislike JPEG is lossy saving format, not just the incapability of transparency

    Resolution is different than pixel count, at least as far as I have always known. The DPI (dots per inch) tells you your resolution, because even is it is 3000x1200 pixels but at 72dpi it won't print as well as one at 300dpi. Sounds like he has his terminology mixed up.

    • @ricomatv
      @ricomatv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi so this video is a basic rundown about images and what to look for in your files. DPI is the dots per image for an image printed by a printer and PPI refers to the image on a computer monitor. The term DPI is a method to determine the print size of an image on paper, or in this case garments. Pixels refer to the quality and detail of the image itself. If you chose an image from the internet with low resolution (PPI) the print quality will not be good even if the DPI is high. The image will appear pixelated like shown in the video.
