I’d love to see a video on the techniques/baits you would use to be a “complete” shallow-water angler. How many techniques do you need to cover all your bases/conditions when you go fishing. Also, I’d love to hear your strategy behind fishing the small local evening tourneys during the summer months. The strategy is much different than fishing multiple day tourneys. I’d love to see you fish some of those as well!
I'm a big fan of all the Megabass jerkbaits and have caught many fish on them but I am extra excited about trying these 110+1 jr. I have 2 on order through Tackle Warehouse but I'll be ordering some more and I will be sure to use the Fish the Moment link on my next order.
I believe I have 4 or 5 of these now. I absolutely love this size and depth. It's my new favorite of the megabass Jerkbaits too. I only own 2 or 3 in each size and silent in my favorite colors. I mean 300$ in just jerkbaits is a lot for me but they're the only ones I throw now.
Randy, love you channel! Best bass instructional on the Tube. Question on pre-fishing. Do you stick them in practice? Do you ever practice and never wet a line, just run and look for the "right water" and graph. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Since the seminar, I have purchased 2 - ITO 110's & an ITO 110 silent. Out of the box they all suspend completely vertical in 45° water. Is it common to have to balance them with hooks, splits and dots/strips right out of the box?
Man the secret is out now 🔥😂 I was lucky to get 2 of them and just caught some good smallies in 35 degree water last weekend! They are awesome but key colors are sold out everywhere 😞

depends on the hook. I put a g finesse size 6 on mine and when I ran them in the early winter here in Wisco, it was a slow (emphasis on slow) sink. That was with water temps around 35 degrees.

Why the extra fast whipsnake over the fast action ronin? I’ve tried jerkbaiting with other brands extra fast spinning rods and didn’t like the results much.
Why do lure companies make you pay out $20.00 for a lure such as this one and inevitably, the one thing you always hear is "switch out the hooks"? Sorry guys, I'm not spending another $6.00 on hooks when you're pushing an obviously overpriced lure out with "just okay" hooks. Literally, every other jerk bait is in $10.00 range so I can switch out the hooks on that one and still come in under the price on this one. BTW, I have one of these and it's pretty sweet, but at this price, it will likely be the only one in my box. Love your videos, Randy.
For catching numbers the mega bass is undoubtedly the best jerkbait in my opinion, but your definitely right it’s ridiculous if you don’t change the hooks u will bend them on dinks 🤦♂️ not to mention the 4 Iv lost now from pickerel. Try the Strike King jerk bait, for some reason we find that you catch bigger fish on it.
@@tylerjackson42 Try the Berkley Stunna. I see them for $14.99 and they have good action and cast well. They are 112 in length though so, they wont replace the 110 Juniors for size.
I like the Megabass jerkbaits and I realize you pro-staff for them, but they are a bit on the expensive side. You often talk about how expensive (needlessly so) bass fishing has become and to an extent, I agree with you. My question is, given your position on the high cost of tackle/bass fishing in general, how do you reconcile representing a company that is on the upper end of the cost scale?

I was just curious as to Randy's answer because he just dropped a video where he was talking about the Jackhammer's being "overated", and one of the reasons being the cost. So, I was just curious of the difference as to why a Jackhammer would be over priced, but perhaps the Megabass 110 isn't?
@@lakrabid Oh, I realize how the game works. A fair number of the guys I fish with (like most) are 6th Sense (among others) pimps/pro staff guys, so yea, you have to product plug, no doubt. Some of them do it really well, and others are, IMO, too obvious with it. Some of them remind me of the old Bill Dance mode of plugging products. To me, I like the ones who openly say, "I'm sponsored by "X" so I use "X", but "Y" and "Z" also make good baits too, but I use "X" because (yea, get a check from leads that list) of.........." Probably fine points, but to me it makes it SEEM less disingenuous. In this case, I was legitimately wondering if superior craftmanship/performance/whatever truly, in Randy's opinion, justified the extra expense versus other brands. As I say, I have and use MB 110's, but there are others out there that many find equitable. To me, the guys at TB do the best at pimping and appearing to give unbiased reviews. In fact they did a whole vid on JB reviews just last month.
MB jerk baits are in a class above all others for: balance. paint quality and action. you still must tune each bait. randy is wrong about changing to #6 g finess on this bait. I own and have tuned 20+ the hooks are size #8. they do float out of package but just barely. each bait different. sometimes just switching out 1 or 2 split rings with owner hyper wire #2 will add just enough weight for perfect suspension. Do M.B. catch more fish? yes on some days. try to get another brand to suspend. sometimes takes 3 full suspend strips. I know Randy well enough his intentions are to help. when he says this bait is a little special please listen very carefully to every word and clue.

As soon as you get some subscribers start selling them merch. It’s so hard anymore to get people that want to share information without profiting from it. I don’t blame you, it’s how this thing works now days but it always makes me question the motivation behind it. I know I’m one of the few but as soon as it feels like commercial, I’m out.
The Xrap Deep has a flimsy bill and I've had it break off, so I'm with you there, but I have not had a problem with the the regular (non deep version) of the Xraps and I like the action of the Xraps, but everyone has their own experiences.
For fisherman like me on a budget the more info on lures that really produce is great !

I use the Tennessee Shad and have had success with it on sunny and partly sunny days with pretty clear water conditions.

I use smaller size because the river i fish is not the deep it is places i don't have a boat so I can't reach the deep water !!!!!
