It's funny that you mentioned that range is the cons of disc launchers cause I have disc 8s and I usually prefer my targets to be further than lock on range since I can splash back hit them by firing at walls and do double damage. In fact I purposely try to not lock on to targets (even in lock on range ) since that way you can only deal base damage without any bonuses.

Otherwise, you're just a mech without weapons. However, the Disc launcher has almost next to none lock on time and can be fired manually.
Disc Launcher is super great with Stalker - if you can use map and radius for deal side or back damage + Predator drive + heal by every frag = super deadly combination . But its need many expirience and know's all advantages of maps .
Disc launcher 8 maxed with brickhouse is fire,javelins with shadow is a silent killer ,disc launcher 12 with killshot is awesome. Totally mech arena is a awesome arena.
Honestly I think disc launchers are the most op weapon in game, when you get the hang of them at least you can even hit enemies behind wide shields and stasis barriers thanks to it's insane AoE dmg by aiming at wals roofs or other obstacles behind your target
But if u can last through the magazine(Jugs, Ares, Brickhouse) you can release your own onslaught. Cuz the weapons are so demanding for speedy mechs, the mechs usually have lower HP, so taking them down is pretty easy. Also using your surroundings to your advantage can help. I usually go with a sacrifice mech approach, if I have a lower HP mech or I have taken a few hits and my team mates are nearby, I usually get close and gather all the attention so the opponents run out of ammo which allows my teammates to wrap them up quickly. In my opinion, sacrificing a damaged mech or a Killshot/Tengu/Stalker (And taking out at least 40-50% of their HP) is much better than letting the opponent take out ally Jugs/Ares/Panthers. Another way to combat them is to stand near corners with Zephyrs(Loaded with MR8s), lure them into the 30m range(To use the EMP Effect), and blast them into oblivion.
Disc Launchers on Panther seems good to me! Here's a tactoc I use: I use Panther's Abilty then I move back and forth to get the enemies to charge at me. Then I use the tracking feature of disc launchers to hunt them down.
Lancer + Javeracks 8 and proper pilots and implants makes it absolutely broken. You can practically ignore a lot of cover by jumping, and the fast speed allows it to get to firing range or get away as well. Ridiculously good, for me.
I got one request, add the ability to change the color of glow on the Mech, I feel like it adds more customization when you change the primary and secondary color if it doesn’t match the primary/secondary color, for example you can change the color of the front glow of Ares from a blue to a red. Lancer with Jav6s (I don't have 8s), epic pilot, and 3 implants is pretty useful, my lancer has the highest HP of all my Mechs sitting at just over 61k HP, get on top of buildings and let it rain. Lots of times the enemies are so focused on trying to get me down they put themselves right in front of my teammates, so if I don't get you, they will.
I have an almost maxed lancer. Tier 6, level 5, with JR 8 and 6, and Rosa maxed with range and damage maxed implants. My mech got 91k life. All of that in free to play. Of course, its my best mech
Not having the auto track on disc launcher would make it so much easier to shoot , i usually try aiming to floors , walls , ceiling or anything that can give me the splash damage

The Javelin 8’s rock as target time damage it’s not a big deal like any weapon or game you have understand what’s going on around you sounds simple but so many players don’t seem to see the battle in front of them
A tip for disc launcher: When maxed out, the radius is very wide, and when implants are maxed out, you barely even need to aim to deal a lot of damage to your enemy. Javelins: Always use them with a fast, small, and nimble mech. Pairing them with a cheetah, shadow, eclipse, and preferrably a killshot or slingshot to deal max damage all at once. Never pair them with big and slow mechs that are easy to target, like tanks and attackers or zephyr, because most of those mechs discluding the zephyr don't pair well with javelins. Better firepower and ammo are always good for mechs like that.
I usually use killshot for javelin rack.....I just get into range of my charge ability then fire the Javel and charge....or just wait to lockon then aim sides instead of up for lower missile travel
Javelin Racks and Aegis might make a good combo if you work out right. You can use your dome to block enemy fire even when you’re not inside, allowing you to shoot over the shield with the racks. Some other tanks + guided weapon setups would be Bastion and Disc Launchers, in order to get in close while protected by a Blast Shield. Juggernauts would prefer Cryo Javelins, to get away if their shield is running low.
For the rest of the tank mechs… Ares: Works with any of them, depending on your playstyle Brickhouse: While Javelins may work good, Disc Launchers allow you to work with the team.
I just started tinkering with javelin 4&6 and I got to say javelin is actually pretty good in a mid range brawl and I prefer targets closer to minimum range seeing as they try to rush you and further targets tend to deal with targets either in their line of sight or more of a threat. Meaning javelin is better for a mid line of defense or offensive push while an objective is being pushed meaning mechs like aries or panther with extra shield/health are better suited for javelin 6 when fights are decently coordinated then scout or support mechs due to there being less attention to you and more towards the brawlers though you didn't state the biggest con for javelin which is restricted space where it was covered for ways to counter it was never stated in full that the javelin can't operate in restricted spaces ( small halls or low roofs ) even if you think you have clearance you allways seem to need more
fun fact if one of the opponents have a javelin always go underground because if they shoot underground it will be delayed since they shoot up and then go down
You should put a mech which has an ability called return to sender which is n ability that returns guided missile back to the sender and disable the mech using guided weapons for double the reload time and gives the whole team the perk
Great weapons, but I have one suggestion. To increase the damage of disc launchers, two of these disc launcher 8's only deal 52k, that's only like an ares without the shield. I know you can upgrade it and stuff, but it's a legendary weapon, at least it should deal 30k damage when bought via the gear hub, and, they are really expensive, which is why i really want you to do this, overall, great weapon.
Javs are easy to use, like most weapons don’t use both sides at once trade off, you use the left side then wait a couple seconds then shoot the right, that leaves you ready to shoot constantly
Well I have a tip to dodge Javelins cuz one time I was with my Ares and then someone tried to shoot me with Javs and then I raised the tower of my Ares with the Large Shield and then I blocked the whole shots,so, the Large Shield could protect you from Javs
I really think that surge is really good with javelin racks too it can dash + it's fast it can stun the enemy to run away when it recharges I. Get godlike pretty often you should also add him

I know im late, but theres a very annoyin thing with javelins. Usually when someone fires jacelins at me while i have killshot many times, i just rush out of tge optimal range with melee dash. But it still hits me and manages to kill me as tgere are now javelin 16s and 12s now. This needs to be fixed.

Gaus rifle does not have efficiency with single shots but if u spam on 1 target it is decent. I use this tactic on my Ares and yes, it works but the only cons I have are the really low ammo and yea not much damage

Guided and artillery weapons always destroy my Redox when no cover is available, also, even with a surge, it doesn’t seem to be able to escape javelins
Fun fact:If you max out a legendary disc launcher radius implant then you can literally shoot through almost any wall

PLUS, it isn't even required to have the enemy in radar, if you know there's enemy just shoot and boom you see a red skull
For javs, the rockets always chase my surge when it’s dashing, like when did the javs’ guiding system get this good to chase down targets horizontally
the fact you can shoot without a lock means that you can shoot shadow and eclipse when they use their abilities, something javelin racks can't do

That is a matter of timing. If you are apt at jumping in the right moment, your Lancer is quite invulnerable against enemy Javelins.

I've gotten disc launcher lately, but i have a problem. When your near a enemy (18-1 meters) the discs fly into the sky, it doesn't hit them.
The discs will fly away if the target is too far.

If you put guided weapons on killshot but the guiding thingy is to far you can use killshot dashing ability you can get closer to lock
Here's an interesting thing, you can use disk launcher to hit opponents with the lock on function, but you have to be careful with your shots.

Some times a enemy mech shoot at the same time when the target lock ,locks in me pls fix that.i used melee dash with killshot to kill a panther with javelin 16 and it killed me at the istant he saw me pls fix that

Gaus rifle does not have efficiency with single shots but if u spam on 1 target it is decent. I use this tactic on my Ares and yes, it works but the only cons I have are the really low ammo and yea not much damage

At 2 minutes, u said Target lock time is an issue. So why mech arena is it possible that the bots can lock on to my mechs in less than 1 .5 seconds and fire?
