Great things happening in Downtown Tampa but 1 thing they can't change is the layout/flow of things, Downtown Tampa can be a bit wonky, Downtown St Pete with central and beach and the numbered streets and avenues is so easy to navigate ,it just makes better sense everything is right there, Downtown Tampa is more spread out
@@Ap32023 I know you didn't ask me. But I make videos on this stuff so thought I'd put in my 2 sense. I just moved to St Pete from Detroit 16 months ago and love it. If you live in Tampa it's a 40 minute drive to the beach (give or take) Downtown St Pete is Big City life without all the people and traffic. Walkability and public transportation including Pinellas Trail bike bath, Sun Runner and scooters and bikes is fantasitc! I live in Central Oak Park neighborhood and I'm 15 minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from downtown and 25 minutes from TPA airport and I'm in a nonfood zone and non evacuation zone. The people are friendly in St Pete and no-one is from Florida, lol, so everyone is looking to make a friend. Pickleball is being played at multiple parks in SP and a great way to meet people.
@@trulivingtampa Oh it was for me. Still own a home in Gulfport that I rent out. Thought about purchasing another property but now maybe not, too much risk
I so heartily agree with what is said in this video! I know St Petersburg well having Easter vacationed there every year since being a child from the early 60s & 1970s from Buffalo NY. My grandmother lived in Magnolia Heights & my mother inherited her home. I moved to London UK in 1974 which is also amazing in different ways, but I would love to buy a house in the Old North East with its cobbled streets & beautiful Coffee Pot Blvd. Well one can dream! We used to go to Spa Beach, the Pier & Webbs City for ice cream on the way back to grandma's after a day at Spa beach. I loved the Vinnoy Hotel for Sunday brunch and Fort DeSoto Park for an all day cookout picnic, fishing off the pier and swimming. Grandma had a huge mulberry tree in her back garden. Freshly picked sweet mulberries! She would make us mulberry pie as well as apple pie & home made cookies! What childhood bliss! The Dali museum is fantastic. I don't know if "Crabby Bills" is still operating but what a fun restaurant for fresh crab & seafood. Anyone wondering where to go for a holiday, head for St Petersburg Florida. The Gulf white sand beaches are open & beautiful in a more wild way. Enjoy yourselves there. You will love it!

Correct. Asking price, closed price, and value are different. He's been calling for a crash and saying prices have been down for over 4 years. Meanwhile, the median and average closed home price has gone up double digits. 🤣 Prices will and do go down eventually. But getting a 5-10% correction while losing 40-50% waiting for it to happen is crazy.
@trulivingtampa believe me he knows that too, he has been successful in the youtube realm though, basically lots of real estate youtubers trying to turn real estate into day trading, totally different, sure you can make money in real estate but a house should be somewhere you make memories not money, at least primarily
Leaving the corn fields of Illinois for the beaches of Saint Petersburg September 18th. I’m just nervous about the traffic. I hear pedestrians get hit quite often.
I came to St Petersburg from Montana and have family who moved here from Minnesota and Nebraska. You will absolutely love St Pete! Traffic isn't bad unless you have to get on the freeways during work rush hours. In St Pete, I can bike to work using the Pinellas trail taking across the city in 35 minutes. Welcome here!
Been here my whole life (45) St Pete has come up! I remember not too long ago we would Rollerblade and bike on empty streets downtown now they're alive with nightlife and people watchers and folks working out all over the place. I was always partial to the old pier but I feel they killed it with the new one. Downtown on the shore line is my favorite place to grab the dogs, the weighted vest and go for a long run it's motivating as hell down there✌🏾
@@trulivingtampa I lived in a condo near Gandy from 2009 to 2011. Ok, Shore Acres is descent because you're near the bay. But let's be clear, we're not talking about St. Pete Beach or Treasure Island. South St. Pete is trash. Most of the interior of Pinellas county is trash. Trailer parks, totally unwalkable ugly stripmall sprawl type landscape.
I love st Petersburg! The women outnumber the men like 50 to 1 and their all gorgeous in their yoga outfits. And then if you're into gorgeous girls in bikinis go to the beach.

Great information. You are the best of the best among Pinellas and Hillsborough County Realtors! 🌴🏡🌴
Wow, thank you!
I like St. Pete's better than Tampa. The downtown and the pier are truly awesome! Thank you, Juan, for great info, as always!
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!

Great point👍🏼
Tampa has nothing on St. Pete.
@RedWolf75 Why is st pete better in your opinion? I'm looking to move to the bay area but stuck in between tampa or st pete.

Visit the Craft Kafe downtown at 200 Central!
Absolutely! They op-ed a second location in IRB that’s keeps taking all my $$$ 🤣
You will love walking to Jordan Park and Childs Park 😂
You gave great information! Thanks a lot😊
Glad it was helpful! Thank you!
With all these storms that just come right up from the Caribbean, the allure is fading for me.
I can understand that. It's definitely not for everyone.

Favorite local seafood restaurant @ st pete beach/gulfport?
I like Snappers in St Pete Beach.
The selected locations in the video are the top locations. Moved here 2 years ago, a lot of seedy areas ...
Thanks for sharing.
That’s anywhere.
Go back where ya came from then?
I love the entire area
I prefer to be in Saint Petersburg much more than being in Tampa. It’s a cool place. Life is much slower over there.
Love St Pete
Great video! I'm glad I chose this city four years ago.
Thanks, Cal!
If you love to party St Petersburg is definitely for you. The bars are packed all day and all night. Plenty of day drinking and night crawling

There is no ocean on the gulf coast of Florida. Also there is no Snell Island. Sorry but true.
Same goes for the women. The men in st Petersburg are all successful with a lot going on

Yes , Tampa isn't the Beach area really
If a hurricane were to give the tampa area a direct hit. How would the non flood zones (flood zone X) in st pete fare?
❤
