Being a caricature artist at universal, I always have issues with the mouth region of the face. Just trying to determine the distance between the mouth and nose. These videos help with that problem alot, thank you

While he does have relatively close together eyes, I would say the eyes are actually rather big themselves.
And I bet you could draw an awesome caricature of him with big eyes. That's the great thing about caricature! There are a million ways to solve a likeness and each artist can choose different things to make bigger or smaller. Every caricaturist has the opportunity to create their own original style and share their own unique perspective.

I don't even watch Casey, but damn would I hate to have his fans. I saw a few videos about him in my recommended and the people making the videos are generally kind and not trying to be too rude, but the comments, even his own fans, will just be so rude about his looks, and honestly to me, he looks a little unusual, yes, but not ugly. I actually like it when people look unique and different from the stereotypical "perfect" look. I don't think I've ever seen anyone who I genuinely thought was repulsively ugly, there's no need to insult people on what they were born with.

I like how your "how to draw noses" video was recommend right beside this one.
A few critiques: I liked the hairline as it was before actually. His forehead extends too far to the right now I think and somehow it feels even more crooked. I think the face should also be moved to the right a little because the rest of the head suggests he's looking off to the right so it just looks like the eyes are just "floating" there rather than being attached to everything else.

Thanks for saying that Rebecca. Agreed. Those commentators have been revealing themselves as the ugly ones here. I think Casey's look is actually really cool. I love people with such individual and unique likenesses. Caricature is all about bringing out our differences and having some fun with them. And so-called "beautiful" people can be made to look really funny in caricature as well.
He could give millions to charity for all we care. If a guy's ugly, he's ugly. He's probably not going to watch this video, anyway. Most of the people saying he's ugly aren't doing it to be nasty, it's just a bit of fun.
Inklan Utterfield shallow people are calling him ugly, I personally think no one is "ugly". So if people you knew and people you didn't know all called you ugly behind your back it's okay because it's just a bit of fun 😌

No one inherently deserves being ugly or attractive, but it's still a fact of life. And just because someone is kind it doesn't make them beautiful. Conversely, just because someone is cruel it doesn't mean they are ugly.

You fucked that eye up by moving it, honestly. It was fun and also would have been fine if you had rotated it slightly after moving it. You should just leave things alone sometimes and learn from them rather than fuss over them, this is why I moved back to analog mediums a few years ago. Digital makes you lazy but also fuss over inconsequential things while also being lazy about placement etc.

Hey court, do you have any advice on drawing very basic faces of people. for example faces where theres almost nothing really off from the standard layout. no real significant nose or lips. just all.... normal.. (perhaps maybe a bit of a high hairline or something)

Well, all of the lessons in the course generally should help you draw any kind of face by giving you lots of different strategies for solving the problems. But I do address the idea of difficult faces in an upcoming lesson. Stay tuned.
