You’re looking down your nose simply because a caravan doesn’t have the latest & greatest. There’s so much bs in new vans that’s for off roaders or ppl who want to look like off roaders. So much snob value in them & they’ll be on the good roads, caravan parks or home driveways 95% of the time. The price of the 20 y.o. van (they grey interior) is bloody ridiculous so thanks for letting us know the name of the company that is inflating prices to ridiculous extent. Its still possible to pick up a small, clean unit 10-20 yrs old, spend a few $$ & have a very good unit for under $20K.
I would be worried at looking at a 2year oldis van owners spent heaps and waiting ages 4 it to get built only to find its shit then sell later and hope next van is better
I’m 50, & looking at trying out caravanning for our first time. We have a $20k budget so looking at 16-18 foot pop top. At that price point if we don’t like it we can sell, & not lose too much.
Stephen, is there a reason you are after a Poptop in particular. They are more trouble than Full Height vans particularly with water leaks. Can understand if you want a Poptop because you have limited height in a shed for example for storage.
Jason Browne Thank you for that. The main reason why I’m looking at a pop top is quite a few reasons. I just got rid of my Toyota Hiace camper van so I’ve travelled a lot as I live in Cairns, & travel to Adelaide, Blue Mountains etc every yr I see a lot of overweight, very very high off road Caravans on the highway, & in Caravan parks. We drive a Ford Territory Petrol with a 2,300kg tow limit so I’m looking at a max of 1,700kg van to tow. I know with Pop Tops they can leak etc but as a first van they are less intimidating to tow, & passing trucks. Thank you Stephen.
I’d only even consider buying used if I could get a late model great condition at a very good price...too many used vans are way overpriced...used van sellers are mostly absolute piss takers...
This guy sounds like me at the shops look my budgets 8K but I’ve now loooled at 5 vans & if I just spend another 10k bringing me to 60k I can get this one 😂
I totally agree, but l guess you need to start somewhere.......so did you just upsell and upsell then pull a loan out your arse thenbuy the brand new corona plu...s.

I've always considered the early 2000s and 1990s caravans the best looking, both inside and out.
Love the separation between room

Reconnect with nature in these teardrop caravans. Wake up to the serenity of the great outdoors in the most picturesque locations.

Bloody ridiculous here in Australia, go to Europe half price you get the same !
No space to store them in Europe and rego's probably ridiculous so people have an incentive to get rid of them
