It’s absolutely important to portray the Nazis as real human beings, with emotions, families, and daily lives. Because if we lose the human element we risk teaching people that this is something that couldn’t happen to them.
I think that applies to every kind of violent criminal honestly. It's dangerous to call rapists, serial killers, etc or in this case Nazis monsters. Because they aren't. They're everyday, normal seeming people with emotions and families as you said. Calling them something other than human makes it seem like they're generally grotesque and easy to notice but that isn't the case at all.
ThisIsMyRealName This applies to every plight of man. Most humans have no say in war, pollution or global warming. But instead just pulled along by their leaders
DaisyThroughConcrete I’m really confused about how in any way what I said makes me a “bootlicker.” Also they are human beings. That’s part of the issue. If you don’t see them as human, you won’t be able to recognize how people become like that. You won’t be able to stop fascists from rising when they see an opportunity.
People don’t seem to realise that ‘never again’ doesn’t mean ‘we’ll stop it when it happens again’. It means you stop it before it gets anywhere near the same place.
You know, that sounds an awful lot like a way to silence opposition. I'm just playing devil's advocate here, I support open borders, but I can see why blindly comparing modern situations to nazi Germany can stir up fears of political suppression
Gancio The Ranter Who’s silencing anyone? If the opposition thinks their position is not eerily similar to the beginning stages of a genocide, then they can state why and defend themselves freely. If you can’t point out similarities between the beginnings of the horrific events of the relatively recent past and the present, how are you supposed to prevent it from happening again?
@Jonas Pell if you think that detaining said immigrants under terrible conditions that violate every single aspect of human right isn't akin to a Nazi like policy, then you are a moron

@Ninjaananas yeah, but to assume we are unlikely to become them even though we are is a bad thing because then we may let our guard down on other people, or ourselves. To say that these people are not like us provides a camouflage for them. Remember, these men did have ethics but figured loopholes. He could only kill children, and only if the parent was dead. @ippos_khloros Okay. Then let's go with the following arguments. The children were sleeping on concrete floors and were cold because they were sleeping in an air-conditioned room and only had two blankets. They did not have access to soap or toothbrush. Some were sick with the flu and were not given medical treatment. There was a lice infestation and the kids have to share combs. The guards did not look after the children and instead asked the older children to look after the younger ones. Truly all of those deeds were acts of compassion and contributed to saving the children's lives. That line, by the way, is sarcasm.
I like how he uses the sarcastic “think of the children!” bit which has always been used to mock conservatives and their censorship of any non-traditional media to make fun of more liberal leaning people who think that children shouldn’t be forcibly separated from their parents for no reasonable purpose
Exactly right. Conservatives lack the empathy to see a profound difference between two things that are only superficially similar. "we'll someone think of the children!?" done in a mocking tone makes sense when making fun of people who are concerned about rock lyrics but is down right psychopathic when dealing with children being forcibly separated from their parents. They take talking points from the left but they don't work because when those on the rational left, (as opposed to the irrational left), are outraged it's because actual injustices are occurring. The right, in the mean time, are outraged that they made an all female Ghostbusters movie.

@Eternal Fisherman immigration is the greatest non-issue of this generation. You're talking about people. In this particular case, about people trying to seek asylum. I'd argue their choice to go to the US looking for Asylum is stupid considering how they're in stage 4 of the 5-stage genocide plan, but I can't expect people fleeing for their lives to be completely rational. And I do believe only evil people care so much about how much people from other countries are getting into their own. And as the video showed, GERMANY first started targeting immigrants before it became ok to disregard other Germans as people.
I'd imagine that that is negligible. The rivalry between brits and germans mostly exists in the british mind (and of course the mind of people who take more from the british experience than the german), germans usually don't care even a bit. As for the phenomenon, that nowadays "everyone" claims to have e.g. depression and anxiety: it doesn't bother me. I'm not even gonna break down Sargon's points, because his fundamental definition of Concentration camps is just....... wrong. In fact most of these points by Sargon illuminate why learning how the Nazi State worked should basically be mandatory, because people treat Nazi Ideology like an impossible snap of the fingers that drives people Fascist and bloodthirsty, instead of the systemic dismantling of Weimar democracy and one of the *first* parliamentary systems of its time (not to say the the Imperial diet was amazing or anything, but it does demonstrate just to what extent power was consolidated within the Nazi Regime). The portrayal of systemic elimination as 'necessary' and not necessarily enjoyable is eerily mirrored in the talking points around the detention centers, the lines by which we define "well we're just trying to figure out what's going on" and "well we're not killing them" (funny how Sargon keeps using 'We' despite not being an American, in the administration or anything, almost as if he's referring to a wider group or something) , and clear categorization for a group where what that process entails is evidently afforded more lease, and more methods than would be acceptable with other groups, especially ones that subvert democratic processes that would once have been implacable, now become 'weak and indecisive' and have to therefore be maneuvered around. e.g. Executive Order 13769, 13768 and of course, the Separation of children at the border. Its even easier to do so with Immigration because they don't even have citizens rights to provide a buffer from such federal decisions. Its easy to see the failures of historical education on the Nazis when the bottom line for comparisons to Concentration camps is outright Industrial scale murder, and not identified by their inherent prerogative to contain a specific segment of a population, it hasn't been 100 years and yet, alot of the edifices of the Nazi Regime are viewed like Historical antiquities with no bearing on modern politics, because for most people the Nazi ideology starts and ends with the Holocaust, not the means by which a small outlier party within the Reichstag's parliament NSDAP party came to control every aspect of German society that had democratized not even 20 years ago
Well, I get your point but to me, the term concentration camp still feels a bit wild in this context. For most on the left these days, it seems there's only be two kinds of people: pro open border-folks and nazis.

He then argued a logical fallacy by basically saying that if they're not as bad as Nazi Germany, which is a unique experience to Germany, then shut the fuck up. The logical fallacy is that, you don't need to embark on a journey of racial extermination in order to treat other human beings in cruel and inhumane ways. He completely missed the entire point of the video. He spoke about England's history and how it is fundamentally different from Germany's racial extermination. Different yes, but still evil. Britain's quest for world domination killed untold millions of people and subjugated millions more. There are a lot of different ways a government can be unfairly cruel to other humans. The children are seperated from their parents because a recent study showed that 30% of the people coming in with these children aren't related. Sargon also showed it in his video. So there is a good reason. It's not done to be ''an evil nazi''. It's done to protect these children. If you don't like it don't come to the US the illegal way. How is England or US evil for protecting it's borders? It's not their fault that people come to them. You can't just let people come though your border unoppossed. And there were the postcards on the wall. It was traditional that, when an inquisitor went on holiday, he’d send back a crudely colored woodcut of the local view with some suitably jolly and risqué message on the back. And there was the pinned-up tearful letter from Inquisitor First Class Ishmale “Pop” Quoom, thanking all the lads for collecting no fewer than seventy-eight obols for his retirement pension and the lovely bunch of flowers for Mrs. Quoom, indicating that he’d always remember his days in No. 3 pit, and was looking forward to coming in and helping out any time they were short-handed. They aren't concentration camps, we are just trying to concentrate many people in camps not meant to hold that many people, while we find a (hopefully final) solution to the problem. Not sketchy.
The final solution comparison is going too far. The point of this video is that the ICE camps do look like some of the precursors of the Holocaust (namely early concentration camps), while the final solution IS the Holocaust. Sargons argument that "that is not the same" fits this comparison quite well. And forced surgeries don't make the comparison any more fitting, they're not the same as mass torture, slave labour AND execution on an industrial scale.

This is what pisses me off even more, the fact that these kids are being separated from their parents and locked up in horrid conditions should bother Carl even more since he's a parent. How would he feel if that's what happened to his kid? It really seems like the right has lost all humanity.
2022: I just heard about that for the first time. That is horrifying. More horrifying than what I knew about. Less horrifying than the final solution. And that train of thought is horrifying in itself.
The way Sargon talks about the kids crying at the end is so fitting it's just plain terrifying. I've known so many parents complain about noisy kids like this and it really only takes a shift in reference to turn it into something monstrous. Our society really is in a very bad place and if you call Trump and his movement what it really is (fascism) then the right and center gaslight you by saying "you're overreacting" or "you're ridiculous" or "you're crying wolf". And *thank you* for comparing the rise of the fascist right to bullying because as a bullying victim myself, I was even forced to "apologize" to one of my bullies in eighth grade by a teacher who took a "both sides" approach. In fact the way the far-right plays victim is *exactly* the same way my bullies got the teachers to always take their side, and that experience was my first lesson in how power protects power and condemns the weak to "what it deserves". A very important video yet at the same time it's still so surreal that something like this is happening during my lifetime.
I was bullied too, and the behavior of the far right is so recognizable to me. Some were sick with the flu and were not given medical treatment. There was a lice infestation and the kids have to share combs. Sargon: These are literally the same thing
@Matthew Chenault Wait who are kidnapping the children? Child traffickers? Or do you mean their parents? The whole premise of your comment makes no sense. Especially since the call isn't for "open borders" just for the closing of these concentration camps. Hell, making legal immigration easier would actually solve the problem you made up. Oh wait, I see, what you are trying to do. You actually just don't want immigration if you think making a pathway to citizenship/residency easier is "open borders".

If I were Sargon’s kid, I’d probably grow up to be a communist.
Just to spite him lol
I’d feign agreement with his ideology and beliefs, and then build myself into the ubermensch version of whatever Sargon thinks is “superior”. Then, I’d declare that I’ve grown beyond Sargon’s ability, and consider him inferior to myself, and therefore disposable, just to prove a point that a large portion of right-wing ideologues seem totally oblivious that they don’t meet their own standards they assign to other people. @SomethingScanning firstly. Thats just a ridiculous statement. No.

As a psychologist, I completely agree with every point you made about the human psyche. As shocking as it is, roughly 60% of all people in today's society would pull the figurative trigger - which is a scary thought, but only threatening if we don't talk about it.
I completely agree. Looking at the conduct of the Republicans I can really see a lack of any real limit to their conduct, morally.
What's your opinion on the internet ultrasimplifying the mental issues every human has?
@@fulcrum2951 it's a common phenomenon. Psychology is fascinating to most people, since it offers insight, so naturally psychological terms (like depression, anxiety, even schizophrenia, etc.) spread among laymen and women and the meaning gets distorted. I personally welcome the dialogue. The more people are open to discussion, the more likely they can change and take control over their future. As for the phenomenon, that nowadays "everyone" claims to have e.g. depression and anxiety: it doesn't bother me. I only feel sorry for those who _really_ suffer from it (got properly diagnosed and are in treatment for those conditions) since they put in the effort and work on their mental health. People who claim those clinical labels for themselves but weren't diagnosed and are not in treatment, just make others with those diagnoses look bad imo. It's like claiming to have a toothache, but not going to a dentist and rather bringing it up as an excuse for most things. Mental health takes work, just like physical health. If someone doesn't want to work on it, they should refrain from using clinical terms... just my 2 cents 💝
Just put people in groups. Responsibility is spread. Now there is nothing to hold them back.
Just look at the Stanford prison experiment. They didn't select particular students to get carried away with psychopathy, it is a dark tendency within all of humanity that can be brought out under a perfect storm of circumstances and societal permission to do so
I still can't believe Sargon is trying to gatekeep human misery. Aside from his TH-cam career he has no experience in that field.
Caring about children's safety is "complete lunacy" according to Carl, but the idea that the media should not mention the fact that someone running for parliament has posted on social media about raping another member of parliament is apparently totally rational.

I was going to comment the same thing. Native Americans in Latin America face discrimination and in the rainforests there are campaigns by cattle ranchers, loggers and oil companies to outright wipe them out over land rights.
Also actually more honest and accurate. Indigenous people are overrepresented among asylum seekers and migrants, and even those who don't identify as such are nonetheless mestizo and therefore have more claim to it than most. Many indigenous people in the US oppose the persecution of migrants and refugees as a sovereignty issue. Their ancestors did not acknowledge borders as we understand them now, and these borders interfere with their rights under international law to freedom of movement, freedom of religion, freedom from military occupation, and prior and informed consent to any and all development on their lands.

How is England or US evil for protecting it's borders? It's not their fault that people come to them. You can't just let people come though your border unoppossed.
Especially the way they try to disguise their horrible statements as "jokes", or claim that the left oppresses them when they call out their bullshit.
The only way to get them to stop harassing me was by using physical violence. Which taught me how important it is to punch natsees.
It's quite ironic for a British to don't understand what a concentration camp is.
You mean the FrEeDoM lOvInG bRiTiSh EmPiRe?
It's quite funny to English speaking people to not doing English speaking.
Alas we did invent concentration camps, but sadly that isn't widely taught in our schools. I'd like to say Carl doesn't represent all of us, and I'd happily milkshake him if the opportunity presented itself.

The Left is bending over backwards to incentivize child abuse, by encouraging people to bring their own (and kidnapped children) across Mexico, to make bogus asylum claims.
The Nazis didn’t start with full-fledged genocide...
Baby steps!
They actually got a few ideas for the camps from the Mexican border back in 1915.....it has always been a horror show.

For a second, my heart dropped because I thought you got that troglodyte Sargon as a guest on your video.
Same.
@nowledge Haha, don't worry pal. He's responding to him 😂
It would be good. Cause Sargon would be destroyed in a debate
TA likes to look back at history. Sargon wants to relive it.
Kate S his debate with destiny was fucking hilarious
I always underestimate just how stupid Carl is.

Sargon's famous selective hearing. He only hears the parts that sound easy to debunk, and can't hear when the video literally defeats his argument three seconds later.

Having not really watched any Sargon videos since early 2017, it's really surreal seeing how far he's degenerated into being a far-right crank

@@at5203 what is anti-sjw, if I may ask? I have never understood this anti-femenism, anti-sjw thing. Is it resenting that people have emotions? That their sacred cow is not yours? It has puzzled me for a long time. I ask in the spirit of...honesty, no Ill will intended. I will, and do not, judge.
@@mikequinlivan8842 don't worry too much, you aren't coming across as anything negative. An anti SJW isn't really against any of the tenets of feminism, eg. Womens rights, gay rights etc. It's more of a criticism of the far far far too over enthusiastic. Think people who protest at people complaining about people who petition for men to have a better chance in custody battles or for people to not use racially charged insults to majority groups etc. It was people who were scared of over radicalisation leading to role reversal. Ironically, a group of them were groomed by the far right into becoming radicalised themselves in the other direction. check out 'my descent into the alt right pipeline' by faraday speaks as an example.

By the numbers: Under the Obama administration, total ICE deportations were above 385,000 each year in fiscal years 2009-2011, and hit a high of 409,849 in fiscal 2012. The numbers dropped to below 250,000 in fiscal years 2015 and 2016.
Under Trump, ICE deportations fell to 226,119 in fiscal 2017, then ticked up to over 250,000 in fiscal 2018 and hit a Trump administration high of 282,242 this fiscal year
It's ok to continue the trends above and enforce border laws.?And by the way, per the law, the President does have the power to determine who and who cant enter the country. So trumps travel ban is within the rights of the USA?
BustyKnockerz just be honest you didn’t watch the video did you?
The Nazi party managed to get democratically elected. They soon consolidated all power and turned Germany into a dictatorship, committing unspeakable atrocities later along the line.
What should be do to counteract this? Ban elections?
@@paaklapi This is actually not entirely accurate. The Nazis only got about 37% of the vote and had little presence in cabinet, and Hitler himself didn't have any position in government until Paul von Hindenberg, assuming Hitler would calm down once he got a little power, made him Chancellor. After that, the Reichstag "mysteriously" burned down, Hitler got his emergency powers, Hindenberg died, and the rest is history.
I think this video has aged excellently, given the recent whistleblower in ICE detention facilities stating that forced hysterectomies are being performed on migrant women.
But three arrows this video is six times too long for Sargon to watch
I was about to post the same thing! This video is six whole Sargons in length. Can't you boil it down a bit, Three Arrows? Carl's a busy man.
