What if Paper Mario 64's Bosses and Partners Were Spirits in Smash Bros. Ultimate?

- What if all of Paper Mario 64's partners and bosses were spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Lets find out with these fan made spirit battles! Here's the info for all battles:
Each battle has Paper Mario like items (Pow Blocks, Shells, Fire Flowers etc) though some battles have extra items to better fit the battle's theme.
Chapter 1:
ROB as Robot Bowser and Squrtles as the Koopa Bros.
Kirby as Bombette
- There are 2 parts of the battle, the first vs. Robot Bowser and the 2nd vs. the Koopa Bros. ROB starts off giant, Kirby starts off with a bob omb to represent Bombette's bomb powers and all of the Squrtles start off with Koopa Shells, bomb items also appear here.
Chapter 2:
Yoshi as Tutan Koopa
Squrtle as Parakarry
Kirby as Chain Chomp
- Yoshi starts off with a shell since Tutan Koopa tosses out Buzzy Beetle shells and Squrtle starts off with a Super Leaf so he can fly like Parakarry. Tutan's Chain Chomp is also featured here as Kirby.
Chapter 3:
Bowser as Tubba Blubba
Kirby as Tubba's Heart
Jigglypuff as Bow
- Jigglypuff starts off with Lip's Stick (Which is supose to be Bow's fan) and Bowser starts off with less HP, since Tubba's heart has more HP then him. Food items also appear here to represent Tubba's hunger for Boos.
Chapter 4:
Ludwig Von Koopa as General Guy
Shy Guy Miis as Shy Guys
Pichu as Watt
- Lightning Bolts (To represent Watt's electric attacks) and Hotheads (Which look similar to Watt) appear in this match and Ludwig starts off with a Back Shield and a Ray Gun, to represent General Guy blocking attacks by hiding in his toy tank and the lightning attacks his tank shoots at Mario.
Chapter 5:
Piranha Plant as Lava Piranha
Greninja as Sushie
- The main Lava Piranha starts off giant and under the effects of Superspicy Curry, fire items also appear here.
Chapter 6:
King Dedede and Huff n Puff
Kirbys as Ruff Puff
Iggy as Lakilester
- Pretty standard battle but lightning bolts do appear here to represent Huff n Puff's electric attacks.
Chapter 7:
Ice Climbers as Crystal King
Squrtle as Kooper
- Freezies appear here as well as Koopa Shells and Blue Shells to represent Kooper's shell attacks.
Chapter 8:
Bowser as Bowser
Jigglypuff as Goombario
- The final battle, Bowser starts off giant and with a Star Rod (Like in Paper Mario), the final smash metor is enabled in this battle and Bowser has 500 HP.

I had fun making a TTYD version of this video so I wanted to make one for the original N64 game now that Piranha Plant is out.
Hey, for a future "What if?" spirits video, could you please do Sonic vs the Deadly Six? I can already imagine a giant Incineroar as Zavok.

Its videos like these that make me wish there was a create a spirit mode for stuff like this the loops bros battle would be better if it was limited to the cpu's using only squirtle instead if switching between pokemon. And the fire piranha could totally be given the dry bowser spirit fight gimmick of occasionally breathing fire. Tge possibilities would be endless and could be shared out like the Mario maker levels. Shame we probably won't get anything like that.
Let's pray Sakurai hears/thinks of this idea and puts it in.
I would KILL for a, "Make your own spirit" mode.
I dream of it since I have seen the spirit mode.

In any other Smash game, if someone said to just pretend that some fighters are other characters that didn't get in, everyone would have had a hissy fit. In this game, spirits make it actually really fun to do. I'd love to see more of these videos.

Schezo: either Marth, male Robin, Meta Knight, Chrom, or Mii Swordfighter
Draco Centauros: female Corrin

Rulue: either Sheik or Mii Brawler, accompanied by a giant Bowser to represent Minotaurus

I love how bombette avoided bowser mechs attacks
I never liked how characters were represented as spirits in Smash, especially Mario. Very shameful to not include many other iconic characters but instead so many versions of characters already fighters, especially Peach. So this makes me happy and wish Nintendo made spirits like this and represent other existing spirits better like Plessie who is my most favorite character but they really did him terribly as a spirit compared to some others. Would love to see mods to fix what certain spirits should of been in the first place.

- Reinforcements will appear when an enemy is KO'd.

Paper Mario definitely should become a Smash Bros. Fighter at some point in the franchise, he’d be more unique from regular Mario with his moveset compared to Dr. Mario as well might I add.
Y'know something I really love and hope the Spirit system sees as this game keeps going is how many more potential spirits they can add. It's clear that they have the system in place to easily code and create them. And being able to create our own with what we do have is a playground of possibilities~
This is so cool! It would have been even cooler if Bowser had a Starman powerup at the beginning of his fight.
Definitely hope they add more spirits like this to the actual game. Not that I like the series cause I've never played paper Mario but I'm just addicted to collecting all the spirits

The Paper Bowser spirit in game already kinda references Paper Mario 64 Bowser, but I do like your interpretation of the final boss fight here!

I would add a Spirit Fight Creation where you can select cpu behaviour, level, and restriction, and create your own pixel art to put as spirits images

Again if these were spirit battles they would constantly respawn untill the big bad is defeated.

Wolfger Lynel I’d imagine that the Spirit Battle would be against a “Springbreak” Bowser that starts the battle with a Chain Chomp, the only other items being Donuts and Super Spicy Curry and the enemy gets stronger after eating. Alternatively, the Spirit might be summoned with the Cores of the Professor Chops and Sandshrew Spirits.
I would like a Midbus Spirit be an Attack Primary type that can be enchanced to become Blizzard Midbus.
