Love how most of the vid is just about Kusanagai lol. The first chapter was solid, I'm interested to see what the second chapter is like, that'll be what breaks or makes the series imo

Yea, I don’t like Shugomaru much myself. Imma read it cuz I like to rank all the Shonen Jump manga & other gag series have grown on me before, but I don’t expect much.

When Dora the butcher cut up the monkey all I could think and laugh was it was way so butual and their little kids around "yay suck it monkey nerd." Or "wow I have awaken something inside of me" lol but I really enjoyed pretty fun chapter and just seeing kusanagi in the thumbnail thing on viz website I knew I want a little morphing buddy as well. Wonder if Dora going have them morph into different stuff for different monomo like a hammer for a crab or make a large or pair of punching gloves are boy Dora is strong.
the art style for the two mononoke felt very "jim crow" era cartoon-y and could be a problem for me personally. Idk if that's the going to be the main design for mononoke since the one from the first page and Kusanagi have a way different style than the monkey ones... but yeah. Art style aside, i always enjoy me some zero to hero action
I really like how Kirishima got a spin-off manga with a katana and a Pokemon sidekick

I already like this series more than Protect me Shugomaru. Also after 2 chapters i'm done with Protect Me Shugomaru.

I didnt see that at all with the main enemy of this chapter. He just looked like a clown. And seeing as his primary prey is children, itmakes sense
