Beautiful garage gym. Awesome lighting. Those plates look awesome great buy. Love that you are touring gyms of your followers. Great idea and series. I will for sure watch these every time.
@ I’m not as big into the different cardio options, so I’d likely replace one of those pieces with a small strength machine or a wall mounted Isolator setup, otherwise it’s pretty spot on!
I think that is a fantastic use of space and 100% agree that failing to plan is planning to fail, HOWEVER, when budget is less of a priority, it’s a lot easier to make everything perfect. Creativity and problem is all part of the home gym experience.
Having a high budget helps too. But I've def. made the mistake of over crowding my gym without giving it enough thought. He really pin pointed everthing he wanted/uses. Not one piece of weird never used equipment. Would you have that many cardio pieces? I might get a ski trainer instead of the spin bike but that's splitting hairs maybe
@@NoFate247 as someone who has had a home gym for over 10 years, mine has gone though multiple evolutions with my training. The real challenge for home gyms is to keep the function as it evolves over time.
I agree, and it took a bit of research and trial to come up with a solution. I initially bought DC Blocks but found they slid on the flooring a bit. I solved this by first laying out a 4x8 yoga mat and then placing the DC Blocks on top. I also use this setup when working on the bench and want to drop my PowerBlock off to the side. It’s a super fast setup and takedown. You’ll catch a glimpse of the blue mat and the DC Blocks in the video.
@ I’m a powerlifter so would have had a traditional power rack with an integrated FT and a dedicated deadlift platform but thought his set up was truly awesome.
@@NoFate247 I already have most of what’s gonna go in there, so far I have MX Select Adjustable Dumbells (55's, got em and the stand for $400 brand new), Assault Bike Pro X, a REP AB-3100 FID Bench, and an old NordicTrac treadmill I got for free.I also have a REP PR 4100 as well but I’m waiting to build that until I can put flooring down and afford to get the extra stuff needed for the Ares 2.0 system, will probably put the Bells of Steel rack mounted smith machine in there (rumor has it REP is working on one too so I may hold out for that), also gonna hang a heavy bag on an articulating wall mount to stow it out of the way when not in use, but probably my next purchase is going to be an adjustable kettlebell bc they seem very versatile and fitting for the type of fitness goals I have!
I haven’t thought about mounting a couple posts to an already existing functional trainer to use it as a half rack. Would love to see somebody do that with an FT2
I would agree with a comment I seen. With how small it is they did a great job. I still see some holes. I’m not quite done but I’m going to have the best two-car garage gym you ever saw!
@ not since the smith machine I had last year, I think. My Titan fitness functional trainer just does such a good job, I would have to invest a lot of money into an all in one with the same quality and I beat the crap out of my rack with heavy squat variations and rack pulls that it’s almost a peace of mind thing knowing that my power rack didn’t cost thousands of dollars
Looks clean as hell! But I’d add leg curl/extension machine and or leg press. Speaking of upgrades tomorrow I’ll be going to Home Depot to get 3 stall mats and 2 C clamps to use as handles to maneuver the mats out of the store and I do my garage. Going to get the Giant lifting stand-alone lat pull-down/low row machine
Great comment. I have a leg press plate that attaches to the Force USA. At the time of filming, I did have a leg curl/extension attachment for the Force USA, but it was cumbersome and not ideal. It was rotated to the trash and replaced with the Freak Athlete leg attachment; however it had not arrived when Jonathan was filming.
Oh, there are speakers! I decided on Baby Advents, they sound great and they fit nicely on top of the workbench. The dry erase board is a great idea. I had considered putting one on the underside of the workbench so that when it’s folded up, I’d have access to it. However, I decided against it since I’m more of a notepad guy. I’m sure I would’ve used it a few times, but I know I’d eventually go back to my pad.
If you are talking about the one standing upright on the machine it's a Rouge, if you are talking about the one on the Wall Control it's branded RITFIT.
@@NoFate247 my gym has two floors filled with 5 cardio machines and around 20 machines, most commercial grade (precor, technogym, sports art, body solid, atx, taurus, rogue, steelflex…)

For how small that space is, they did a fantastic job, it really doesnt feel cluttered at all. Killer setup.
Exactly! How you been? What I been up to
Love it! Bright, clean, inviting, and clearly built for the user specifically. Great tour!
Yeah he built it to prefection for his use
Beautiful garage gym.

Thanks for the feedback. Very happy he was willing to open up his awesome gym. Those plates looked as good as they cost
Super nice space. Clean, organized and functional. Love the art touches too!

@ well you know my space. Very chaotic on the surface, but everything has a rhyme and reason. I can appreciate the more sanitized spaces though
Big fan of checking in to home gym tours! Hope you and your fam had a Merry Christmas!
Had an awesome XMAS!!! hope you are having an awesome holiday season. Would you have done anything different with this space?
@ honestly, yes, but it would not have come out nearly as nice. This guy absolutely CRUSHED it.
It is a very well organized gym. I love those mayhem plates - Really love the colors! I’m going to be checking those out!
Only thing I don't like about the mayhem plates is the price
Makes me what to clean up my cluttered home gym! Great video! Cheers to this guys awesome gym.
Everytime I have fomo I try to clean and organize

Yeah some really well thought out touches that showed he took the time to plan rather than just buy stuff and see what fit.

Was so nice it made me almost hating my own gym 😂
Great, practical home gym! He even had that nice HVAC wall mounted unit for year round comfort.
Yeah that thing was dare I say perfect. Would you have made any changes?
@ I think it’s pretty perfect. I love that epoxy flooring but not sure it’s great for deadlifting, so maybe some consideration there in the rack area.

I really like his DIY rack functional trainer. That’s a pretty good idea.
Love the channel bro - always fun seeing how people deck out the space
Oh snap didn’t realize this was someone else’s haha
Thanks for watching and subscribing. Love doing these tours as they give me great ideas and takeaways

Knurled plates!
Exactly! You ever see those in person
Goals
Exactly! What's your short term goal?
The wall mounted rack that holds the olympic 2" weights.- what brand where did you buy?
I will ask. Not exactly sure
I was thinking the same thing and couldn’t find it. That is an awesome wall mount storage!
The reason why I have no banners its cuz every inch of possible wall space is used 😄
Yeah after this tour I ordered more wall control 😂
Thank you subscriber
Thanks for the support. Would you have made any different changes to this home gym?

Awesome gym but Jon, we all know I’m the king of wall storage

Is that a volcano knurl on the plates?
not like on a barbell but it's grippy!
Thats gotta be lonely AF 😂😂
Go to a local gym on January 3rd and tell me you don't crave some loneliness :)

What is the exact size of that space?

Its 12ft wide x 22ft long
