Hello! Welcome or welcome back to my TH-cam channel. Annotating can be a difficult topic to navigate because there are so many things you can do with it, but I hope this was a helpful way to start the conversation on this channel. If you have questions or anything else annotating-related, do let me know and I’ll do my best to either respond or film a follow-up video. I hope you all have a lovely week 🤗

this is so helpful to have an annotating guide more centered around specifically danmei. i'm a person who only usually uses tabs and sometimes highlighting, but never separted by topics/themes etc or actually analyzing anything i'm reading. as i become more familiar with danmei, i'm finding that annotating might really help with the topics discussed that i don't have much knowledge of yet! i'm really intrigued and might start this for my next read. thank you!!

Thank you so much for taking your time to create this video! 🥰
This is a topic I’ve been very curious about and you shared a lot of tips and tricks that I’ll be applying! 😍
it’s also very nice to see how your annotating has developed throughout your reading 😃
Where do you get your pretty tabs from btw? I’ve been a bit hesitant on using tabs as some can damage the pages of the book once removed.

You're very welcome ☺thanks for letting me know it was a topic you're curious about. I really enjoyed talking about it, so I'm glad you found it helpful.
Good tabs can be a bit hard to find, but these are the specific ones I use. They're sticky enough and come off without damage, some of them tend to lose their color after a while though.

thank you so much for sharing your experiences and ideas in annotating! and for danmei books it is specifically helpful~
I have been annotating not for a long time but came across one moment that I’ve observed and now in questioning of: if you have separate tabs for main characters and a separate tab for character development, then which exactly moments are falling under the main character tabs? bc for me characters’ tabs already have development tied to them in a way?😅
but then there’s also the moments that I love or made me laugh that I’d like to tab - would they be separate for you or if the moments are connected to the characters then it’d be under their respective tabs?

That's a very good question and point. Having separate tabs for main characters and character development was something I did because I wanted to be able to have one specific tab for just character development. I however noticed that I ended up using both tabs for a lot of annotations, because like you said, the development of the character still falls under the character. Now, I just use character tabs without having a separate one for character development.
The second one for moments you loved or that made you laugh, it's sometimes helpful to have a tab specifically for favorite moments (funny, sad, enlightening....) and if they're tied to the character, you can just use both tabs for that moment.

Hey! Haven't been so active lately but hey! I hope you're doing well ❤ and have a good day! Also! Any good historical danmei close to mxtx?😊

Hey!! Doing pretty good, I hope you've been well too ☺"Like mxtx" recs are not so straightforward, do you just like her writing or do you feel like crying, or both? 😂 I'll suggest some and hope one of them appeals to you.
Golden Terrace - romantic historical danmei
Those years in quest of honor mine - pretty fluffy but has some angst
Devil venerable also wants to know - currently reading this and loving it.
I haven't read these 3 but I plan to: Married Thrice to Salted Fish, Fei Pin Ying Qiang, Joyful Reunion.

@@thewhelmedlife Woah 😳! AHAHAHAHHAH I just wanted to make myself suffer a little...🤣🤣🤣 And besides I haven't read a good BL in awhile so wanted to ask. And yea "like mxtx" is very vague so I'm sorry if it troubled you In any way but yes what I meant is the kind of storyline that mxtx likes to write! So thanks for the recs!!😌🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️❤️❤️
