    As someone who works in a library i can say that sticky tabs are more harmful to the books than actually writing in them.😅

    • @TatyanaVogt
      @TatyanaVogt  ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Oh really? If thats true then thats not good.
      A lot of the sticky tabs that I have for this purpose tend to fall off over time so it doesn't seem like they are sticky enough to cause problems but thats just my limited experience so far. Perhaps people use stronger stuff?
      Does it have something to do with the stickiness or something else?

    • @Maryistired99

      @@TatyanaVogtthe glue is harmful. It sinks into the book and damages the paper over the years because of a chemical reaction. The colour of the paper changes and it can cause the paper to rip easier. Some kind of glues can even cause mold. It doesn't matter how long the sticky note stays on. We have a strict non sticky note policy at work. I believe that everyone can do with their books what they want to do, but I just wanted to add that this happens a lot.
      But note cards are wonderful !

    I think Pencils and Note Cards are the best options here, at least for me. Thanks for this video, I don't know how the idea of using note cards never occurred to me. Best to write Title and page number on top.

    I love doing the key for color coding tabs in the beginning. I don’t like writing directly on the cover page or anything. I am totally going to do the removable one! Because sometimes I change my mind towards the beginning about what each color means.
    This is great. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

    • @TatyanaVogt
      @TatyanaVogt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I also really like having it on a separate paper so I can use it as a bookmark and have an easy reminder of what the colors are. There is the risk of misplacing it though soo, I dunno. lol Thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment!

      AHAHAHAHAHAHA, I really enjoyed this book (even with some of the cheese factor and some things that didn't fully make sense) but I HAVE hate tabbed different books in the past. It can be a great way to enjoy a so, so book, tabbing things that dont make sense, make you mad, or whatever. lol. Fortunately that wasn't the case with Seven Faceless Saints.

    Thank you for showing a wide variety of options. I can't seem to find a way that works for me. I don't like covering up the words in the books at all. I haven't decided if I want to write directly on the pages. I'm thinking I may just have to cut my sticky notes to be thin enough to fit on the edge of the page and then write my notes on them.

      Glad I could help. My favorite for that case is the cards or slips of papers. I have an index system where I am able to save the notes for all of the books I do or dont physically own. Started doing it for everything that I read recently and its been really nice. Anyway, happy reading! 💖💖
