I think he was busy working to pay the mortgage-no time for yard-work. I suppose he's been trying to renovate the inside first and planning to do the outside after. This would explain why he was embarrassed by it. Makes sense. What you have done will encourage him to do the landscaping, I'm sure.
I thought the same thing about letting the neighbor see the back without the owner's permission, but then I realized that thousands will be seeing its original state on TH-cam anyway!😅

It looks great! Unburying all of the pavers and cement should REDUCE the amount of mowing needed in the future. TO THE OWNER: Apply grass & weed killer between all of the gaps between cement and pavers (front yard and back yard). With those areas clear, future yard maintenance will be much less daunting.
I use salt mixed with weed killer and i can tell you this the weeds don't like it . A quarter cup salt to a gallon of weed killer is a nasty combination for weeds.

There’s nothing so disappointing than to watch all the effort and skill go into making everything beautiful and then all those clippings covering it all up. Now I understand if it’s a pasture then collecting the clippings or hay might not be practical or affordable. But near the house is important. Great job and I enjoyed every minute of your video. What have I learned? You guys are awesome and fun to watch. I've learned that one should probably carry 2 to 4 (or more) edger blades on hand to make sure one is available WHEN they wear down. Much like one carries multiple lines of string for the weed eater.

Sometimes people don’t show their boo-boos on the outside. The person who looks just fine parking in a handicapped parking spot, but actually has severe cardiomyopathy & would need oxygen to walk across a parking lot. Or the person who has to go back to work after 3 days of bereavement leave, when they just lost their wife. People can exert a lot of energy looking normal, but then when that front door closes,and they are “safe”, it all comes apart.

People dont necessarily want TH-cam to know their situation but I doubt that the brothers just 'happened by' maybe someone contacted them knowing the guy needed help.
Wow gigi...what a downer. If I wanted serious professionals I'd sit in my yard and watch professionals charging $100 plus to mow neighbors' yards! BORING! I love these guys who make me laugh. while doing FREE yards for the good of the community. They will get there when more people start appreciating their content and subscribing. I know you guys know your business but here's just one tip. Never turn a green lawn yellow/brown again (like you did here) by never taking more than 2/3rd's of a blade of grass. Even by customer request, NEVER cut a lawn down to 1/2" to 3/4" blade. 7/8th's of an inch is as short as you should ever go Lawns are supposed to feel and look lush and luxurious, not colorless and buzzed. Just put rock or other aggregate in at that rate.
The owner if this place is just lazy and has absolutely no pride in his property!! Well at least you guys did a FANTASTIC JOB! Maybe just get the right tools, only to make your lives much easier in the future. 💯👍😎
Why do allmost all American gardens look exactly the same? Nothing but grass and concrete. No plants, no flowers, nothing. Is that a lack of American creativity or because the US government (via local code enforcement) dictates what a yard should look like??

Allowing clippings to mulch back into the soil gives the grass nutrients but, I know what you mean with the long stalks from weeds. Spoils the effect.

Wow gigi...what a downer. If I wanted serious professionals I'd sit in my yard and watch professionals charging $100 plus to mow neighbors' yards! BORING! I love these guys who make me laugh. while doing FREE yards for the good of the community. They will get there when more people start appreciating their content and subscribing. They are adorable and hard working!
I know you guys know your business but here's just one tip. Never turn a green lawn yellow/brown again (like you did here) by never taking more than 2/3rd's of a blade of grass.
Even by customer request, NEVER cut a lawn down to 1/2" to 3/4" blade.
7/8th's of an inch is as short as you should ever go Lawns are supposed to feel and look lush and luxurious, not colorless and buzzed. Just put rock or other aggregate in at that rate.
The owner if this place is just lazy and has absolutely no pride in his property!! Well at least you guys did a FANTASTIC JOB! Maybe just get the right tools, only to make your lives much easier in the future. 💯👍😎

Why do allmost all American gardens look exactly the same? Nothing but grass and concrete. No plants, no flowers, nothing. Is that a lack of American creativity or because the US government (via local code enforcement) dictates what a yard should look like??

Okay the glasses made me laugh, I enjoyed watching the two of you you made me laugh with the kaleidoscope eyes. What I learned from your videos, where mask respirators, at least two weed eaters,and lots of drinks. And bring a tarp to put all your limbs on to be dragged away from your work area. And a hedge trimmer. That's all I got from a girl's perspective LOL

They have those bag stand thing to hold up the sacks for yard waste. It’s worth a try for you guys. Then I noticed you were picking leave up by hand. I use my rack when I picked up take and one hand does great.
