I’m content with the Sony-verse Venom potentially never getting Spidey’s powers and the symbol(actually I quite like the Ultimate Venom-esque design they went for without the Spider symbol, I like it more than I thought I would plus the white veins breaks it up quite well). But I agree with many ppl that we need a comic Venom repaint with this exact body mold, the Hyperion body mold is absolute trash and the comic Venom heads from the past two figures fit in proportion with this body better since the Hyperion body mold was too small for Venom
I did something similar with the Toybiz Venom. I cut off that huge button on his back and filled it in with black Milliput. I'll definitely be picking up that Mouldable Glue though.

I prefer movie version action figures. 99% of my action figures are movie versions, I like SH Figuarts and mafex, but sometimes Hasbro nails it. I was waiting for this Venom since the movie came out. I like the fact he doesn't have the spider symbol on his chest. Venom can be his own thing, I'm okay with that.
Kick ass review, love the shots at the end. I wasn’t geeked about this guy at 1st but I am now. Venom, Absolute Carnage and classic Morbius along w the Venompool baf make this an overall solid wave. Not too hype for the others except Miles.
Looking back I’m so sad I missed out on this figure I just got the king in black one which I think is better but I really enjoy the movies and wish I didn’t take my break from collectwhen I did 😢

Hasbro should really add toe articulation to figures 7inches and above. What they had done this beast was amazing and the sales for those figures would go up 📈📈📈📈
The biggest shortcoming with this figure is his shoulders. Butterfly joints would’ve been perfect and there’s really no excuse. They did them perfectly on the retro wave Spider-Man so that part just always frustrates me. Still nearly perfect figure
I think everyone knows that EVENTUALLY we will get a butterfly joint venom from Hasbro. And the sad part about that is that this venom will then be outdated, although it’s beautiful still, it will be the lesser venom.
I don't know, man. As nice as butterfly joints would've been they dont even put them on that many figures and they aren't essential. A tom of great and my favourite figures don't have butterfly joints and although the omega red body has them they kinda screwed up with that because of the huge overprice and peg holes in the shoulders. As cool as they are I don't think a butterfly joint venom would make this the inferior venom because i personally like the torso joint a bit more and this venom is still kinda its own thing with the design, height and proportions.
Does the mouldable glue not tighten the join to the point where it can’t move. I mean it looks great without the pins but if it cures and then it can’t move then I probably won’t do it. I wanted to know before I go out and buy the glue.
Personally I'd rather see the Omega Red body for a comic book venom. A lot of broader and more of that superhero V shape. HOWEVER, saw someone suggest this body for a new Blackheart and I've never wanted to kitbash something so hard in my life. Maybe see if the Dark Beast feet will fit on these pegs. Had the thought to paint a Scream head but might be too small, and I don't wanna shell out for that figure for just the head.
Dude, get on that movie already lol. It is a tad like a B movie, but there is horror elements and it walks kind of up to the R line. But above all it is exactly what it should be and is FUN!! As for the figure, for me it is the fig of the year for Hasbro. We just needed it 2 years ago. The buck will inevitably be reused (this is Hasbro we are talking about), but not quite sure it is appropriate for comic Venom. Reusing that Monster Venom BAF mold for comic venom missed the mark too. Movie Venom is more on the tall and lanky/lean side. We need another brand new buck that is tall and girthy, like a cross between these two figures.

Check out Pounds978’s custom paint for Shartimus Prime. It looks amazing and I now agree that we NEED a comic Venom with this body mold!

The slight gap on the left thigh swivel seems to be a universal thing, i've seen it present in other's copy too

Butterfly joints would break up the chest sculpt and make it ugly, but that's just what I think, it would be cool to have them
