One thing is true for sure, Kerala is very Green. It's about 1/4 of England size, but in a narrow north to south piece of land with west side facing Arabian sea and east side with mountains. so, the distance between beach to mountain is less than 150km throughout the length of Kerala. best season to visit is from Monsoon June - August and Nov-Jan. English is enough to get you throughout the state. a 15-day trip is enough to cover most of the places, but about Kerala, it's not about the destination, even the way to destination is worth. It's that peaceful and beautiful. it's nothing like any other state of India, it's more like any European country with tropical climate. people are educated and welcoming. no religious conflict issues. Harmony in between religions and yet very rooted to cultures and traditions. best starting point would be to start from Kochi. food here is unbelievable, especially the seafood. and don't miss to have a bike ride on a cloudy day to any of the hill stations, its way more relaxing and overwhelming.
