Amphibia is really slept on, it deserves more love. It's such an amazing show, with the plot hidden behind everything, the best humor in all cartoons right now, the characters and their relationships between each other.

People talk more about the owl house and all, but I don't think one show is "stealing attention" from the other, since good part of the owl house fans watches amphibia and vice versa. What damaged the quantity of views and development of the amphibia fandom were the bomb format of the first season, and the way people underestimated the premise of a girl in a frog world, before actually giving the show a shot. People were drawn to the owl house, because shows involving magic and demons sound more interesting, and because of the repercussion generated by the good example it sets for the cartoon community on proper lgbt representation and cast of characters with different ethnicities. Anyway, I love both shows and completely agree that Amphibia deserves even more love and appreciation. It's an amazing cartoon.
@Breaktime Timber It's ok, I understand. A lot of people are kind of obsessed with the shipping part of the shows. I personally enjoy shipping to a certain extent. But even when people focus too much in this aspect of the shows, I just search for the part of the fandom who appreciates the other aspects, there always is. And about the LGBT stuff now days, I'm ok with it. As long it doesn't feel forced, I support it.

It is the only thing that makes sense, and the king has that X cut through his armor.

Hopping Mall was my favorite episode as it had a lot of moments that were both sweet and emotional. My favorite was when Anne had to give the Teapot to Priscilla as it was designed by her mother, while her daughter Pearl exchanges her Blue Butterfly to Anne due to her generosity so she can give to her mother. 😊🦋🦋 The last scene when Anne and Sprig where talking to each other about their own mothers was sad and emotional as we learned that Sprig and Polly's mother passed away when they were young. 😢😢
I didn't cry at the end of "Hopping Mall," but I came pretty damn close to. I was already in an emotional place because my parents had to take my cat to the vet to be put down the day before. I didn't break down and start sobbing, but I did feel lonely. I had to say goodbye to a friend I had known for half my life, and then I saw "Hopping Mall." I didn't expect to get hit like that.
that hug sequence instantly reminded me of steven universe ep 45 ending. i wasn't expecting to experience that feeling again. this was a very touching episode.

Upcoming Amphibia episodes with synopses and theories: The Sleepover To End All Sleepovers (9/19)- Anne and Marcy issue a Scare Dare Challenge that brings Sprig and Polly into forbidden areas of the castle. I bet this will be a very exciting episode that reveals some lore, and Sprig and Polly will discover some secrets hidden by the nests about the Calamity Box and how to send the girls home. A Day At The Aquarium (9/19)- Anne and the Plantars look to spend what could be their last day together at the Newtopia Aquarium. This is why I'm even more sure of my prediction for the previous. This is also the midseason finale. And I bet this episode will end on a massive cliffhanger because... The Shut-In! (10/17)- In this special extended episode, Anne and the Plantars protect themselves from the dangers of the annual Blue Moon by locking themselves in the house and entertaining each other with the scariest stories they can think of. Sounds like a charming episode, but I think there's more to it than just scary stories. I believe that they find a way to send Anne home in TSTEAS, but they don't have Sasha, and maybe the newts don't really want them to go home. Anne might even have a falling out with Marcy, who not only works for King Andrias, but has been teased as wanting to stay in Amphibia. Their relations with the newts become violent and they flee home. Or maybe they flee home due to the Blue Moon, an event that might be connected to the Calamity Box, like the blue gem. Night Drivers- No date, no synopsis, no idea. Maybe if the Plantars are somehow still in Newtopia at the end of the previous episode, they drive in the night back to Wartwood. Return To Wartwood- So maybe they're not back home in The Shut-In. I'm excited to see the Wartwood citizens again! Enter Marcy- We'll see Marcy take on a more antagonistic role, with her sights set on retrieving the buried Calamity Box for King Andrias. Scaver Hunt- There was already an episode called Scavenger Hunt this season. Maybe all these titles without dates or synopses are fake, and someone got lazy at the end? But I doubt it. They seem pretty legit.
I connected with Sprig very deeply at this moment, since l too never knew my biological father, nor ever heard about him, and it truly not having a straight figure like so as you grow up. But I guess it's hard to miss something you never had... It is very... 😢
I can definitely see a scene where Yunan has Sasha pinned down. Sprig then reveals that they're related and saves Sasha. Him being the only thing that can soften her heart.

When sprig talked about his mom dying when he was little and wondering if you can miss someone you didn’t meet hit me because that’s how I use to feel about my dad that died before I was born but even though I never meet him I still love and miss him so much

I was told before watching that hopping mall was a tearjerker, so I went in expecting the tears, and in the end I was left with none. Probably because I was expecting to cry, but that doesn’t change anything, hopping mall is still sad, just more of an “ow” for me

Ok when Ann first brought up her mom, I thought sprig looked sad because he realized ann will one day go home, and he wont see her. at the end of episode we get a feels bomb dropped and tears are going

Someone seriously needs to give me a story reason for why Anne still hasn't replaced her freaking shoe! I've got incredibly bad feet so the idea of walking around a world like Amphibia with only one shoe on is physically painful for me! As for the favorite moments in the episode; Anne and Sprig's moment at the end took me back to when I left home. Anne's description of her mother sounded a lot like my own: kind, strict, a bit critical of how I spent my time, and oh dear God, the singing! The only difference is that mine would sing those cheesy songs they teach kids in Sunday School! When it was time to leave though; I remember my mom and my siblings spent the previous day helping me pack and I spent the morning clearing out my room as much as I could and saying my goodbyes. The last person I said goodbye to was my mother; I don't think I managed to pull out of my driveway before I broke down crying.
It really hit me hard when Sprig was talking about his mom, because I relate to him. When I was 5 my dad died, and I barely remember him due to how young I was, and I miss him a lot even though I never really got to know him.
The three diamond in the sky looks foreshadowed in S.U when the Diamond tries to corrupt all gems and The blue butterfly when little cute pearl looks foreshadowed if star vs forces about queen butterfly
Fun fact: We haven't seen any glimpse of wartwood since the planters left it. So I have a theory... The calamity box becomes unstable when one of the three isn't in a close proximity to stabilize it. Wartwood.... Is doomed.
Theory: the reason that hop pop is so scared of the calamity box is a king adreas said that frogs used to use it to travel to different dimensions well maybe hop pops son sprig and polly's dad was selected to use the calamity box to go to earth but there was a malfunction and sprigs dad was lost while the box ended up on earth.

that hug sequence instantly reminded me of steven universe ep 45 ending. i wasn't expecting to experience that feeling again. this was a very touching episode.

I bet this will be a very exciting episode that reveals some lore, and Sprig and Polly will discover some secrets hidden by the nests about the Calamity Box and how to send the girls home.
A Day At The Aquarium (9/19)- Anne and the Plantars look to spend what could be their last day together at the Newtopia Aquarium.
This is why I'm even more sure of my prediction for the previous. This is also the midseason finale. And I bet this episode will end on a massive cliffhanger because...
The Shut-In! (10/17)- In this special extended episode, Anne and the Plantars protect themselves from the dangers of the annual Blue Moon by locking themselves in the house and entertaining each other with the scariest stories they can think of.
Sounds like a charming episode, but I think there's more to it than just scary stories. I believe that they find a way to send Anne home in TSTEAS, but they don't have Sasha, and maybe the newts don't really want them to go home. Anne might even have a falling out with Marcy, who not only works for King Andrias, but has been teased as wanting to stay in Amphibia. Their relations with the newts become violent and they flee home. Or maybe they flee home due to the Blue Moon, an event that might be connected to the Calamity Box, like the blue gem.
Night Drivers- No date, no synopsis, no idea. Maybe if the Plantars are somehow still in Newtopia at the end of the previous episode, they drive in the night back to Wartwood.
Return To Wartwood- So maybe they're not back home in The Shut-In. I'm excited to see the Wartwood citizens again!
Enter Marcy- We'll see Marcy take on a more antagonistic role, with her sights set on retrieving the buried Calamity Box for King Andrias.
Scaver Hunt- There was already an episode called Scavenger Hunt this season. Maybe all these titles without dates or synopses are fake, and someone got lazy at the end? But I doubt it. They seem pretty legit.

The ending scene of hopping mall is kinda similar to that Avatar scene where sokka says he doesn’t remember his mother’s own face.
I'm glad I wasn't the only person this brought a tear too. Hearing a child (sprigs VA is basically a child) always breaks me

I connected with Sprig very deeply at this moment, since l too never knew my biological father, nor ever heard about him, and it truly not having a straight figure like so as you grow up. But I guess it's hard to miss something you never had... It is very... 😢
I can definitely see a scene where Yunan has Sasha pinned down. Sprig then reveals that they're related and saves Sasha. Him being the only thing that can soften her heart.

When sprig talked about his mom dying when he was little and wondering if you can miss someone you didn’t meet hit me because that’s how I use to feel about my dad that died before I was born but even though I never meet him I still love and miss him so much

I was told before watching that hopping mall was a tearjerker, so I went in expecting the tears, and in the end I was left with none. Probably because I was expecting to cry, but that doesn’t change anything, hopping mall is still sad, just more of an “ow” for me
Is it weird that I kind of want an extended version of the song played during the end credits? It was sad and depressing, but that’s what made it and the ending of episode beautiful.

Ok when Ann first brought up her mom, I thought sprig looked sad because he realized ann will one day go home, and he wont see her. at the end of episode we get a feels bomb dropped and tears are going

They managed to make me cry in 30 seconds, when most shows can't even do that to me in an entire season
Someone seriously needs to give me a story reason for why Anne still hasn't replaced her freaking shoe! I've got incredibly bad feet so the idea of walking around a world like Amphibia with only one shoe on is physically painful for me!
As for the favorite moments in the episode; Anne and Sprig's moment at the end took me back to when I left home. Anne's description of her mother sounded a lot like my own: kind, strict, a bit critical of how I spent my time, and oh dear God, the singing! The only difference is that mine would sing those cheesy songs they teach kids in Sunday School! When it was time to leave though; I remember my mom and my siblings spent the previous day helping me pack and I spent the morning clearing out my room as much as I could and saying my goodbyes. The last person I said goodbye to was my mother; I don't think I managed to pull out of my driveway before I broke down crying.
It really hit me hard when Sprig was talking about his mom, because I relate to him. When I was 5 my dad died, and I barely remember him due to how young I was, and I miss him a lot even though I never really got to know him.
The crosses are scares nothing more. That's how they're drawn in a lot of shows along with a single dark slash.

Theory: the reason that hop pop is so scared of the calamity box is a king adreas said that frogs used to use it to travel to different dimensions well maybe hop pops son sprig and polly's dad was selected to use the calamity box to go to earth but there was a malfunction and sprigs dad was lost while the box ended up on earth.
