Polish Poem, Inland Empire: "I sing this poem to you
On the other side I see
Shining waves glowing
It's far away, far away from me,
I can see it there
I can see it there
The wind blows outside
cnd I have no breath
I breathe again and know I'll have to live
To forget my world is ending I'll have to live
I hear my heart beat fluttering in pain missing something
Tears are coming to my eyes
I cry
I cry"
Le pire c'est que hier après midi j'ai regardé pour la 1ere fois blue velvet😢 et j'apprends son décès le soir même..
🕯️🕯️🕯️
Lynch didn't die, he just woke up from his dream.
That line goes hard asf 🔥
One of the best filmmakers of his generation. Rest in Peace David Lynch. Thanks for all.
We just lost one of the great visionaries, but we still have his films and television shows and tributes as gorgeous as this one. 😥💔
Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet, Lost Highway, Fire walk with me, The Return, Eraserhead... Thank you for everything Mr David Lynch. We will never forget you.
RIP DAVID THANK YOU FOR BLOWING MY MIND
R.I.P. To a director who was in a galaxy of his own, there'll never be another David Lynch he truly was one of a kind
We are all here, remembering David, a visionary who was not afraid to change the way we see cinema, a true Legend, We will all miss you David, Thank you for your Art ❤🕊️
it feels absolutely gut-wrenching to realise that we've lost him, our close friend and a great inspiration. Rest in Peace dear David. you'll be remembered forever.
Rest in peace, David Lynch. Thank you for your amazing movies and TV shows, TH-cam videos, your taste in cinema, your wisdom and above all your heart.
R.I.P. Mr David Lynch - King of mistery, darkness and madness! In my top 5 best Directors of all time
I don't think I've obsessed over anything more than David Lynch and his work. I needed this video.
Same bro💯
I think anyone who watched anything from david lynch had that same feeling. I just wish his work got more popular so we could see him do more things instead of the 15 year hiatus he had, imagine the things he could have created with more freedom and modern quipment and bigger budgets
@@dejomrsic6093 yeah definitely although I do think he was popular enough it’s just the mainstream audience who know of him think he’s weird and won’t go see his movies. It was all about funding because most of his movie didn’t make enough money back
@@dejomrsic6093 after his experience with Dune, I don't think he'd want another large production. Less control over his art. He got incredibly lucky with Twin Peaks season 3 as it was such a big project again. But you're also right, I'd love more content from the madman.
@@dejomrsic6093 it really is such a shame how long he's gone without making anything. My wish is he gets to make Twin Peaks season 4 and gives it a slightly more satisfying conclusion than we got in season 3 and then he can retire.
he was the director of my daydreams... rest in peace
Thank you, and goodbye. You were and will be the best movie director of my life.
RIP Sir David Lynch , rushed here after I got the news..😢😢
Truly a legend..💯🙏🏻
RIP to an absolute legend of cinema. I’m so glad the guy got to make what he wanted to make for most of his career. Minus Dune, David always held on to his vision and showed us what dreams are made of.
Thank you, sir.
Eraserhead blew my mind as a young viewer, The Elephant Man and Blue Velvet two of some of my favorites of all time. Our legends are getting old appreciate them while they are still with us RIP LYNCH
Here for the master. Rest in peace
Most people don't truly realize just how many of our 21st century media and stories are inspired by his work. His work is still very underrated and underappreciated in the history of cinema imo.
Had to come back to this upon hearing the news. A loss, but glad we all landed around him time wise.
One of the greatest to ever do it. Modern horror would be nowhere without him, the greatest directors of all time praised him when he was in his early days, I struggle to think of one single director that hasn't praised him and his grand influence on cinema and art as a whole. Even cinematic outlaws like Gaspar Noé or Harmony Korine have praised him. What a loss, what a legend, what a legacy.
RIP Mr Lynch
I can't imagine living in a world where anticipation of a new David Lynch creation is no longer possible. Yet now, that is exactly what I must imagine.
When I was in Art College we were all asked who our favourite artist was. This was 25 years ago. Every one had their favourites. At that time it was the brilliant artists from the sensualists like Damien Hirst or Tracey Eminen. Or other so many known great artists of the 20th century like Salvadore Dali or Pablo Picasso. And many other artists from different generations and lineages. But when i was asked who was my favourite artist i said Lynch. David Lynch. And my fellow colleagues were surprised. They never thought of film making like that. And over that time in art college they, like me, grew to really embrace and enjoy the beautiful and profound works of David Lynch. A wonderful and profound artist who could work in many mediums. He was so so incredibly talented. And also amazing human. I also love what his foundation has done for people suffering from mental health problems. So. Just to say. I love you David Lynch. ❤.
Angelo Badalamenti, Lynch's longtime musical collaborator, deserves much credit for his beautiful musical soundtracks.
YES!!! He was a true master! I was crushed the day he died. RIP, Maestro!
Because of the surreal, abstract nature of his films, it's easy to overlook just how solid his filmmaking technique is. The visuals are always striking, artful, and painterly as seen here, but his use of sound is masterful as well.
The sound is what really gets me in his films. He understands how to elevate mood and atmosphere with music like no other.
Would you like to check out my sound design too? I got inspired by him a lot and my main focus is sound design in cinema. It is the best tool! But i didn't share my film because it was just meant to be practice purposes. I can send it to your E-mail though! Can you write me from private?
@@jacobyoung729 Eraserhead has the most amazing sound design of any film I've ever seen.
Yeah and he does a lot himself and unlike most directors he’s always credited in sound design and mixing himself
Rip to a legend and one of the greatest film directors of all time
I was not prepared for this day. David Lynch’s work is one of the greatest things that ever happened to cinema and surrealist art in general, and he must be remembered as one of the most important auteurs of our time. This video is a perfect tribute to honor his legacy.
Rest in peace David Lynch😭
Amazing!!! Rest in peace, Mr. Lynch, and Thank You for your Art!! ✌️🖖!
First thing I read this morning was regarding his passing and I was in tears. My grandfather passed on the 16th of Jan too, a particularly saddening day. God rest his beautifully twisted soul!
Gracias maestro por enseñarnos el horizonte 😢
rest in power, David Lynch's films have a feel like no other, this man and his art was a beautiful gift to humanity that will never be forgotten 💙
Only work of his I've seen is Twin Peaks and it ranks as some of the best, most thought provoking, and most bizarre yet heartfelt content my eyes and ears have ever witnessed. Almost unlimited layers of meaning.
watch Mulholland Drive next
Then watch Blue Velvet after that.
agreed. The Return is the first time I felt I was watching art in movies or shows in general.
I've seen many other pieces of film that would be categorized as "artsy."
None of them felt as genuine and from the soul, as the movies of Mr. Lynch.
If you want something as dense as the return, with extra grit and abstraction - watch Inland Empire by Lynch.
Went to this after hearing the news. It’s genuinely unreal. Truly one of the best visionaries ever. Until next time, David. 💔
I will miss you forever Mr. Lynch. You gave me so much❤ Thank you and Rest in Peace.
David Lynch was truly an artist, he will be missed, thanks for everything!
Thank you for art and mystery… 🙏🏻❤️🔥
It's good that you used so many shots from Dune. Sometimes people forget taht movie was quiet gorgeous
I am very sad, but thankful for his work. ❤Incredibile what he made, he was a genius! Love
He taught the world how to turn visionary ideas into art and his legacy lives on through his work.
In contemporary film making David Lynch was the bench mark for me! A true iconoclast and visual master! And with everything becoming more corporatised finding a film maker with his panache will be hard found! RIP David Lynch!
Amazing! Great tribute to one of the most creative minds
Silencio!
I admire "Mulholland Drive" more so than the rest of Lynch's work, but have to admit he's a damn good storyteller, artist, director, craftsman. And the main theme of "M.D." being the soundtrack to display Lynch's work is icing on the cake. Bravo..
😎
Your art and ideas became part of my identity, for they are fascinating like nothing else. I wish I could have met you for once, just to say thank you for the magic you brought to the world 😔
I hope you returned to the ocean of pure consciousness ❤️
Thank you david lynch! For connecting with my subconscious and showing me how movies don’t have limits and they’re not limited even to one’s consciousness, they go beyond and have an aura in them like no other film.
Excellent choice of moments, and the main theme of Mulholland Drive keeps the whole collection together perfectly.
Thanks for the great job!
A stressful, surreal blur, but magnificent, thanks David Lynch.
You will forever be remembered David, thank you for everything ❤️
Though not a horror filmmaker, Lynch has produced some of the greatest surreal horror scenes in all of cinema. My all-time favourite filmmaker :-)
Lynch's work transcends genre
RIP to the one of a kind man let him or his work never been forgotten
R.I.P. David Lynch (1946-2025) 😔
We love you David.
Rest in ever-lasting light and creativity.
Thank you for everything you so generously gave us.

Farewell, the maestro David Lynch
RIP
We'll miss you, David.
Thank you for this great video. David Lynch’s art is so unique and fascinating. I’ll see you in the trees…
THANK YOU DAVID.
Merci de nous avoir tant apporté David 🖤
Rest In Heaven, David ❤🙏🏻
Seeing Eraserhead changed everything. I had only read about it in a couple books on cult movies, accompanied by a few stills, but I didn't get to actually see it until the mid 80's. The quality of the VHS copy was poor and very dark, but I realized that this something unique. When David Lynch released the film on DVD on his own website (along with a collection of his short films) I immediately had to add them to my collection. The quality was vastly improved and I was seeing details that were lost in the VHS format. I don't watch the film that often nowadays but the effect it had on me is still very present. Lately the one David Lynch film that I can rewatch is The Straight Story. Despite being G-rated and released in connection with the Disney organization it still has those Lynchian touches. I always laugh at the shopkeeper and how he bemoans the loss of his grabber. It's a stunningly beautiful film. The one scene that makes me tear up is when Alvin is talking with another veteran of WW2 and tells him how he accidentally shot one of his own troop. I imagine he (the character) was probably still only in his teens and that memory has been with him all that time. I cannot imagine having to live with a memory like that and unable to reconcile with it. The scene is brilliantly played by Richard Farnsworth. It's such an incredible performance throughout, perhaps the best in any David Lynch film.
"The idea is everything. Don't betray her and she'll tell you everything there is to know, seriously. Keep working hard to make sure the result is the same, the same vibe, the same sounds and it's exactly the same of that idea. It's weird, when you get off the path, you somehow know it. You know you're doing something wrong, because you feel it."
(David Lynch)
The image factor is something truly frightening and unconscious. Each SINGLE sequence in this video is part of a mind having an idea, a simple idea and then another and another until it is faithfully reproduced on the big screen. And this is what a true artist does; very often people think that artists who create incomprehensible works of art are not pure geniuses. Absolutely no! Ideas can be conveyed in many different ways. The first goal of art is to represent and make people understand a message
and in this David Lynch is truly the best!
The most beautiful thing I saw today.
Perfect music, from the best one.
strange how simple the shots are but the details are so clearly Lynch. Very beautiful
One of the great visionaries of our time. No one did it quite like him. RIP
Movie is a language, it can say things, big and abstract things. And I loved this video. Some people are poets and have a beautiful way of saying things through words, but movie has its own language. So you can express a feeling in many different ways, it's a magical medium I've seen here. Congratulations.
My favorite director and one of the most incredible Filmographies I've ever seen
What a time to be alive if you love the cinema of the absurd!
Seeing shots from Lynch films I haven't seen yet is really inspiring me to finish his filmography
The passing of a true original. What a legacy to leave behind. 🙏
RIP to one of the Greats
Rewatching this after learning this legend passed away 😭😭 RIP David Lynch we’ll miss you 💔

True personality. The great master of contemporary cinema. We will miss him.....
This man is special
Yes he was ❤
As one of my friends used to say: I love diving into the strange worlds of David Lynch
You are one of the best TH-cam channels I have ever had in my life. Thank you, for showing me the full scope of cinema. Thank you again.
David Lynch movies are like he's sharing his dreams being projected onto the screen for us, the audience to see
Rest in peace David Lynch
Great example of why cinema/TV can be more than just entertainment for entertainments sake.
Lost an artist and a legend today 🥧☕
RIP!
Literally made me emotional. My favorite director. Thank you for this one
My Favorite filmaker. Thank you. Wonderful video.
The world has lost one more incredible person, Rest in peace David...
He had a troubled relationship with Big Hollywood. He died while LA burned, Sunset Boulevard (a significant influence on Mulholland) is a smoking ruin. What an end. What does it mean?
May he rest in peace, we lost one of the great filmmakers.
Bad day for cinema.
Rest in peace David. A true master of the art. Your work will live forever.
Thank you David
Addio grande maestro
There’s a big hole in the world now that he’s no longer with us. But, as he would say, ‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ It’s a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way.
RIP 💔
Rest in peace
*RIP. The most unyque director of all the times...*
The only filmmaker who successfully captured what depression is made of.
…. I think there are some more
Rest easy D.L. 💯
Seen all his films, docs, read his last updated bio, room to dream, this is good, thanks for doing it.
Rip David Lynch ❤
Mr. Lynch is indeed a very beautiful man, inside and out. And damn good video too.
What a beautiful video, friend. I liked David Lynch when i saw Twin Peaks, but a year ago, when i saw Mulholland Drive at the cinema, i fell in love with him. His works are really something magical, that even if you don’t understand it 100%, it keeps you watching, over and over. What a good choice of music to pay tribute to his art, truly one of the most hauntingly beautiful pieces of cinema’s soundtrack. Long live Lynch. 💙🔐
