People seem to be vastly overestimating how hard shatterdive and well skating is. Like it's 3 buttons pressed quickly. And it's an insanely useful skill, everywhere in the game.
Thanks for putting this together. At first I was overwhelmed and like many of the commenters I was thinking I'd stick to doing it normally! But this actually encouraged me to learn well and shatter skating. So after watching another few vids on that and breaking down your well skating steps, I'm confident I'll be able to do it in KF after lots of practice at Morgeth bridge. The height and momentum from the early glide and later dash boosts really makes a difference. Thanks again!
Sidezz video in recommended, splendid, time to watch it. Not even 10 seconds in an Sidezz has said that 9/10 people suck absolute balls. This is exactly what I came for. 10/10.
There are better games like this. Bungue are a bunch on lazy fat idiots. They copy the vest buts out of all games. You have to have the brain of a bug to not realise this game isn't original whatsoever. It's addictive but definitely not original or the best in any shape or form.
I think all the subclasses should have unique ways of traversing parkour sections. Stasis can create platforms, strand will be able to use grapples, arc has increased speed and jumps. How cool would it be if void could have like a "teleport to grenade" ability or solar could explosive jump
The warlock one can also very easily be done with daybreak + heat rises + icaris dash + starfire protocol. Just use super to get across main area, consuming a grenade near the end. Then inch your way around and wait for 2 grenades and get across spamming dashes
You mentioned it slightly in the video, but just for confirmation, when doing the skip that doesn't load in the barrier, the door to the secret chest will still be there right? So if a team want's to go for the chest you'll need to stand on the two plates regardless?
"9/10 people still manage to suck balls at it" right... so here's a much harder way to do it that will likely hold up a team for much longer because 1 person cant get the steps right.
@@default2907 lol, yeah, I had some clan mates take me through my first one in d1 and only one, and being a noob, I fell for the standing in front of it nor knowing what was coming. Knocked me right in to D2 lol

Do I need to double tap jump immediately while holding grenade after that? Or do I hold jump until my heat rises procs and then let go of my jump? And then glide pump is just double tapping jump and then letting go of it?
gotta drop the glide immediately so your inputs would be like (jump -> dash -> jump -> dash) then start tapping your glide on and off with about a 1-2 second gap between the pumps
I have tried that jump at 4:21 so many times copying your every move and i get so close, but everytime i just dont get enough height and barely come up short. No idea whats wrong i have stomp-ee, 100 mobilty, eager edge.
you can hold W, just space your jumps out more and you should manage. if you jump at the peak of the jump both times, you'll lose too much height on the way there
im on transversive steps most of the time, for king's fall I often switch over to lunafactions. other content where I know i might be spamming rifts more, i'll switch to starfire protocol
Trust, it's not. It has a lot of application all through the game and it's really not that hard to learn. It might take a little bit of time to get the timing down originally, but then it's muscle memory that you pick up very quickly. Then once you can do one of them, it's like a 5 min job to learn the other just because it's different button placement.
Shatter skate took me about 30 minutes to learn consistently. Well skate is a bit harder on controller since it's two buttons for super by default. But you could map super to one button and then it's exactly the same as shatter.
Sure, this saves time for the better players that want to sit afk while waiting, but trust me, the people who can't harness their gamer prowess enough to chain together 6 easy junps onto latge platforms are NOT going to have the thumbskill, time nor patience to learn to skate. Not meant as a diss to day job daddies or casual players, but if you can't remember a couple telegraphed moving platforms, chances are you're not spending 2 of your 10 weekly hours learning a skating tech that only really impacts the grimiest of basement goblins.

Grasstoucher here (I missed March to August of this year). Wellskating is a momentum conserving animation cancel used primarily to move very fast, and secondarily to impress. Since eager edge has been in the game (and perhaps earlier but I'm ignorant of the days before e.e. when Worldline Zero was used) lots of videos, clips, and threads have emerged showcasing and explaining both how the wellskate "tech" works and how to do it. Give it a try! Lots of fun.
Wellskating is done with an Eager Edge sword and a fully charged Well of Radiance super. For this one in particular, due to the distance, you need to have Icarus Dash and Heat Rises aspects equipped to extend your airtime. You can do the actual Wellskate without either of those aspects, but you'll only get a short distance out of it (still extremely quickly, though). Basically, you stand near a ledge. Pull out your EE sword and use the heavy attack, followed immediately by a jump, and then immediately cast your Well of Radiance super. If you do it right, the sword swing and the Well animations should cancel while preserving your momentum from the Eager Edge lunge. You would then hold grenade to consume it and activate Heat Rises, and use the Icarus Dashes to extend the distance. You want to "pulse" your glide because you lose momentum very quickly while gliding, but preserve it while simply freefalling. The quick pulsing prevents you from losing height while only minimally affecting your speed.
People seem to be vastly overestimating how hard shatterdive and well skating is. Like it's 3 buttons pressed quickly. And it's an insanely useful skill, everywhere in the game.
