I know this was posted 8 years ago but I just want to say this video was really and truly useful to me today. Thanks
The video is never too old if it helps someone.
Many thanks! The 99 Chevy Prizm has all the same parts, just arranged differently, but all the steps you showed worked perfectly.
I just amazed my family by replacing my bulb in about 12 minutes. Thank you!
+Lucys Training Channel I am glad to hear that.
Since my knowledgeable husband out of town, I'll have to take care of my own headlight. Now I have the confidence it will be a breeze! Thank you!
Thank you for the video, very detailed and well put together. I was able to replace by bulbs in less than 15 minutes.
Nice!!
better than the other corolla headlight replacement vids on youtube, thanks
Wow, thanks!
Excellent video with very clear instructions and guidance. You made the job easy - I did both, and it worked like a charm!
Thanks man. This video helped me change the headlights in my very first car. I appreciate you.
The best visual and audio instructions I've bumped into. Thank you for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great information! On 2001 Chevy Prizm, RIGHT headlight, I found it quicker/easier to remove two 8mm bolts holding heater fuse box and enter the headlight housing from the rear. Your clear display of how to remove the rubber boot and unlatch the bulb make it VERY easy work. On the LEFT side I would have had to remove the car battery and your method would have been the much quicker method. Thank you so much!
Very GOOD and informative video-I tried changing the bulb before I watched your video. Couldn't figure out how to get the housing off Ended up taking the screws off the spring clamp-which fell off and I couldn't figure how to put it back on- Your video helped me a lot!!! Thank you!!!
This video was very helpful to your female demographic!! I greatly appreciate it😊
Glad it was helpful!
Your videos show things clearly and explain things clearly. Thank you!
Thank you for the video...I was able to replace the bulb and it works! Whoo-Hoo!!
Thank you for posting this! It was very helpful!
Damn. Did both in about 15 minutes thank you!
Glad it worked out.
Just changed my headlight. Thanks for the help!
thank you very much, I was having a big problem on that spring wire, and never knew that I only have to push it a bit and slide to remove the bulb..
thanks for the video! it was very helpful.
So you don't have to take out the bumper like other videos tell you to do? Im tryna change the headlight housing, only the white light not the side lights.
Thanks! Didn't realize there was another tab on bottom. Couldn't figure why it wouldn't disengage.
Is the headlight on a 93 geo prizm the same as a 93 toyota corolla
Fantastic video! Thank you very much.
About to do this. Thanks for the helpful video
Cant get my low beams to work but the high beams do. no broken fuses. think its the bulb type or what?
Very good explanation, thanks
All fixed thank you very much!!!
Great to hear!
Thank you!
great video.
I'm sure this could be done without removing the light housing?
It can, but it takes some dexterity and doing some things by feel/touch, all while making sure not to touch the glass on the bulb (which is the way I've always done it). I might try the method in this video, next time.
hello, you no have one video of who change electric conection to of bulbs of same car
in the Prizm owners manual it says to unbolt that left bracket that you pressed on the tabs
+ljgsuper I pushed in the tabs. It worked great. Snapped off, Snapped back on
Hope this works on my 2001 Chevy prizm.. I'll try tomorrow.
Thank you.
Thank you!!!!!!
You have video about of how change headlights sockets of same car🤔👍👍
I thought Toyota will not be making bulb replacement that complicated. Is this required on the Chevy Prism? Was there no way to take the bulb out without taking off the housing or you did it to show us better? Or you would have to remove the battery and battery tray to remove the bulb from inside?
On the left side you could take out the battery to get at the bulb.....but.
Lot easier if you take out the blinker 1 screw on top for blinker
Note: the Chevy Prizm & the Toyota Corolla headlight assemblies (1998 - 2002) do not interchange The corolla has a lower bulge that on the Prizm is flat across the bottom. Too bad as the Prizm units cost at least twice as much as the Toyota ones.
Actually you don't need to remove the housing, you can just unscrew the bulb cap and take the bulb out normally without removing the battery or the headlight housing. Just fyi.
