Before I watch another second of this video, I’m going to say “YES” it is unsinkable. It’s a Whaler! Now let’s finish the video. Ah ha! Now get yourself some Flex Seal! Love it! Nice video Did you film in the ICW? Looks like it
I really like Whalers. Even thought of buying an old one and covert it to a bass boat. Huge deck, storage, bow TM, livewell the works and still run with hand tiller motor. Glad PATCHIE will live again soon. I knew your Yamaha would fire up. Anyone who has seen your past videos knows it's been thru worse. Love the video.
Hey guys I’m in North Fort Pierce bring me the two parts I’ll glass them back together and make that boat look like the day it came off the showroom floor. Tight coat LLC is my business and making old Boston whalers look beautiful again is what I do. I’m working on a TH-cam channel now and I would love to collaborate with you guys.
You should totally test the flex tape on this boat and see if it truly holds up and can repair a boat as they have in their ad! Also I wonder why the military and other government don’t use these yamaha dogs since they’re so reliable! I love my old 200hp yamaha on our Grady white. Can’t kill it!
Bit of a shame. Whalers like this are hard to come by and I have taken plenty of them in this condition or worse and restored them into beautiful boats.
Our oyster boat was a coast guard target boat that they would shoot at the bare hull then it would sink and then they float it and patch it up again. That’s why it was a free boat because of all the bullet holes that missed the target would sink the boat. It is a 2006 Carolina skiff 2170 DLX. Now it is our oyster boat for our oyster farm. The restoration took 6 months and 44 gallons of fiberglass resin and 20 gallons of fairing compound
I have a Boston Whaler that I converted into a jetboat and built a pilot house out of CNC foam and fiberglass that is sealed all the way around other than a small part of the aft deck to fish out of. But it has a door so it seals for the weather with AC/heater, toilet, bed, stove, and oven. It looks like a spaceship. It can go almost anywhere with it I mostly use it in the Bay Area Delta to run food and supplies to the islanders. Boston Whalers are great platforms because of the large deck space to work with.
It’s not as bad as it seems. Get an older cheaper boat with good bones and go from there! I bought my 1982 Pro Line 23’ running (barely) with a trailer for $2,500. I plan on gel coating the whole thing, rewiring everything, adding a dive platform, and replacing the dinosaur evinrude XP 175 hp with either a single 300 or twin 150’s. Might make a channel out of it lol
You broke my heart…and shame on you for being surprised that it didn’t sink. 😂 that foam looked dry. You could have got a grand for that hull up north if you hadn’t cut it in half😂
Why did you delete this video earlier?? At work i saw notice that you uploaded a video so i was very excited to watch it after work and then it says its private. Im glad that you uploaded this again your channel and videos are best in youtube! Greetings from finland!
I really enjoy your videos, and the content yo provide! The only thing I don't care for is the wind noise ,especially when on the water. A gopro add on microphone with a wind buffer might help with more subscribers!
There are all these dumb videos on TH-cam with all these effects and unnecessary crap, but yours are simple, and great. Please keep making videos the way you do. They are informative and very entertaining. Great work!
Its a shame you destroyed that Boston Whaler just to test if it would sink or not. Its already been proven many times over so you did not have to do that. Many people are trying to buy old whalers to restore and they are getting harder to come by. Even though the outside did not look good, it does not matter with a whaler because all that can be easy to bring back. The foam still looked great which is the important part so it was a perfect project boat for someone.
@@ThatBoatGuy Glad to read that because I was also feeling bad to watch this boat cut in two. There are so many people who are saving every Euro they have (or dollar in your case but it does not matter) to buy a boat, even if it is not pretty or old. I was really feeling uncomfortable with that. Otherwise I love your channel because you are giving a second life to old boats and outboards, and giving a chance to people to buy something they could not afford otherwise.
Want to give any pointers for restoring a 44ft 1977 house boat anchored in key west me and my husband just purchased? 🤣 your channel gives us hope. Lol
Aslong as it’s foam filled, it is indeed unsinkable or atleast to a certain point. It can tip over because of the motor weight in the back. But it’ll keep floating for sure !!! Pretty sure if it’s got good foam like this Whaler has you’ll be safe for many many years on the water
OH MAN! Great video, but for someone who has wanted a boat like that to go fishing here in MI, have to say it killed me see you cut it in half. Love the videos you put out.
I had a question unrelated to a boat sinking. I just bought a boat about 6 months ago and it has a Gray fuel hose on it, The question is do you recommend changing It out to a regular black fuel hose like a car would use.
CHANGE IT IMMEDIATELY. All of it. The grey fuel hoses (Commonly sold at Walmart) have a type of plastic liner inside that disintegrates and mixes with the gas - Blocks the fuel pump, etc. Replace it with fresh fuel line, the Black Rubber Kind. Say no to those Grey fuel lines. They destroy good days in the water, and destroy fuel systems
You should take that back half and cut away everything in front of the motorwell. Then fiberglass that onto the front half. So you have a 6 foot whaler. That would be fun.
Hey man, I’ve always been curious as to what part of Florida you’re in ?? Looks like Tampa Bay ?? Not sure. Anyways, LOVE THE CHANNEL MAN 🙌🙌🙌. You deserve a million views for doing this crazy $h%t LOL
You should fiber glass the boat back together and take all the foam out of the floor. It would be interesting to pour different types of 2 part foam that reacts to compare the price and the quailty of the foam of not taking on water. Like compare cheap house spray foam with marine foam and cheaper mixes of the 2 part foam and different types. It would be intersting to see how it would preforme and what other results you would get
I'm ready to come refurbishment a boat with y'all. Eager to upgrade from the kayaks and getting a but confident on a boat project 😄 From Jacksonville FL, lots of trashed boats here too
can you make a video on how to tune an Evinrude? I have a 90 horse Evinrude and it doesn't idle right and bogs down when gunning it. Or do you know what's wrong with it.
There is a photo article somewhere that they saw where they cut that boat into three pieces with a saw and three people stay on the pieces and they and the boat still floats, foam-core fiberglass. One of the best boats ever made, too bad the fool wrecked it for monetization.
Hey I live just a little south of you and I have a 2001 palm beach whitecap 151 that I’m having a hard time with and was wondering if I could get some help with a idle problem and tips on a complete re wire.

Someone already took the boat or I would of. They are currently fixing it up.
What's your hourly rate? I've got a 62 whaler that could use some love in the future, I'm down in Stuart
@@ThatBoatGuy Well I love your show, holler at your boy sometime. I restore and fix all boats.
@@ThatBoatGuy Hey ThatBoatGuy, do you have a 40-50hp 15" shaft tiller for sale?
Wish i could just have a simple boat like that here in the Caribbean, but im seeing you cutting it in half, makes me wanna cry… :(
Got to love the comment "5:35 Got the boat on the boat boy!" 🤣
Glad I just got mine (1968) recently, just needs some glassing and refinishing. It's an affordable way to get a nice simple boat.

My dad has always said you could cut a whaler in half and it wouldnt sink... i guess he was right.
Word has it the motor came right off a submarine
Yup :) Two thumbs up!!!
boat people explain every boating term
The unsinkable "molly-whaler"!!! LOL
Your videos are always fantasic, been missing seeing them, best part of my day is watching them.
Where you at man!? Are you alive lol?
I found one of your videos recommended to me on your “poor man speedboat” and I immediately remembered you

This is the most Qualified Captain thing I’ve ever seen!
That’s why my current boat is a 305 conquest whaler! My last boat sank, and I don’t want anything to do with boats sinking at my dock ever again!
Please release more videos !!!! Your channel is awesome!!
I've got an 85 and love it! That's the reason I bought it

Love it! Beat me to it… was waiting for the weather to break before being too foolish on the water! Looks like y’all had a blast!
Love the videos! Keep them up! I’m sure A lot of us would love to see more!
Don't care about people bitching for ¨ruining a perfectly good boat¨. This is the funniest stuff ever!
What paint do you use to repaint your boats . Preferably the white paint you’ve used for some of your floors and hulls
