Emirates says “GOODBYE” to Airbus A350! What’s WRONG??? (LIVE)
After the Paris Air Show in June 2023, which is more likely a competition between the two aircraft manufacturing giants, Airbus, as the winner, went home happy with 830 on a total of 1100 orders from carriers. However, the situation was reversed as soon as the Dubai Air Show took place in November of the same year, in which Boeing chalked up 295 aircraft orders, three times more than Airbus’ 86. And the shocking point was about the poor order of the A3 50 with particularly no order for the latest and largest variant, the A3 50-1000. Even a such giant like Emirates Airlines, which is always looking for bigger aircraft, humbly ordered only the smaller version, the A3 50-900, with 15 units. Ethiopian Airlines and EgyptAir also made their decision to buy respectively 11 and 10 units of the A3 50 but they were all about the -900 variant.
So, where did the A3 50, especially the -1000, go wrong? Let’s find out in today’s episode!
Emirates says “GOODBYE” to Airbus A350! What’s WRONG??? (LIVE)
But before we start, if you haven't subscribed to our channel yet, please like, comment, and subscribe so you'll be the first to see our next videos. Now, let’s dive in!
At first glance, it seems like this is not a big deal and Airbus wouldn’t get any damage at all since their sales are still going up, evidenced by the orders they received for the -900 model. But when looking closer at the competition between Boeing and Airbus in terms of fulfilling airlines’ demands, it would be a completely different situation. For those airlines that are operating from a single big airport hub like Emirates and some other Gulf airlines, really big jets are necessary for them to make full use of their hub capacity and maintain the number of aircraft arrivals and departures at manageable levels.
Emirates says “GOODBYE” to Airbus A350! What’s WRONG??? (LIVE)
The fact is that besides Emirates, not many airlines globally can consistently maintain full capacity utilization of the large A3 80 aircraft throughout the entire year. But besides the A3 80, Emirates is also operating 123 Boeing triple 7 -300 ER and some of them are aging, which means Emirates will soon have to make their decision of what will be the replacement. Having realized the situation, Airbus designed a stretched version of the A3 50, the -1000, as an effort to attract airlines who are looking for a replacement for their triple 7 -300ER. Then what does it mean when Airbus couldn’t sell any of their A3 50-1000 to Emirates? It means that the airline is likely to look towards Boeing and opt for the triple 7X as an alternative replacement. That obviously will be a big loss for Airbus.
So what is wrong with the A3 50-1000 that disappointed the airline? The answer is the engine. It’s actually not about safety but efficiency issues that the Emirates considers.

Another misleading headline by FLIG AVIA. So much incorrect information given followed up by the word "however". Totally irresponsible post .If you are unfamiliar with the topic you would feel significant negativity about the A350-1000 and the Rolls Royce XWB powerplant. I get the distinct feeling that this site is supported by Boeing and General Electric. Some of us just want actual facts. Lets all just remember How many years late the 777X and it's GE engines are any why .

    • @Prodagist
      @Prodagist 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

I'm not trying to argue any of the other points you're saying. I just wanted to state that the reason the GE9X is being delayed is because GE really cares about the safety and quality of their engines. GE has an incredible reliability record, especially when compared to Pratt & Whitney or Rolls Royce. They've also, through multiple instances over the decades, been very quick to admit their mistakes and work incredibly fast to fix them whenever any have occured. The A350 is a wonderful aircraft and I agree that this channel is portraying it and it's engines much worse than it actually is. I'm just saying that I don't think it's right for you to be upset about delays due to General Electric, because between them and Boeing working on the 777X, At least one of those companies cares about safety.

Please do not use ecofriendly or ecoconscious in the context of any plane. A tiny reduction in emissions per passengerkilometer does not yet make it a clean enough transport option. In fact, no plane does. So to save the climate, only very limited airtravel (for instance for engineers required in a specific place) can be maintained. All other travel should be by bicycle, by foot or by train. And yes, tourism will have to drastically change.

It’s all about politics. If you purchase Boeing aircraft the US Will guarantee your defence against hostile countries in your region ie. IRAN.
The Airbus A350 is new with years of development and upgrades ahead.
The Boeing 777x is a 1960 creation at the end of its development and upgrade cycle.
Other Gulf. Airlines are flying the A350 1000. without any problems. The 777x by contrast is a long way from carrying passengers anytime soon. As I say, it’s all about politics.

Your comments concerning the possibility of a two-engine Boeing 747 are completely wrong. Yes, the existing 4-engine 747 has approximately four times 250 kilonewtons of thrust. This gives approximately a total of 1000 kilonewtons. You are right up to here. A GE-9X engine has approximately 500 kilonewtons of thrust - two engines would give also the "required" 1000 kilonewtons. Yes and no. You forgot the requirement of all passenger aircraft to climb-out after an engine failure that occurs before lift-off. The true requirement is therefore that the remaining operative engine(s) provide 750 kilonewtons. (Four-engine 747 = 4 times 250 kilonewtons). One engine-out trust is 3 times 250 kilonewtons = approximately 750 kilonewtons to give the 747 the ability for a shalow climb angle and later the possibility to accelerate for a zero-flap configuration. The engine-out case for your proposed twin-engine 747 with GE-9x engines would be UNABLE to climb or accelerate with the remaining single engine giving only 500 kilonewtons of thrust. There are presently no engines under development in the 750 kilonewtons (165000 lbs force) thrust category. So your proposal is a "school boy's dream" without any aircraft engineering consideration. The "Twin 747" with GE-9X would be deadly underpowerd for the engine-out case so that it would not able to be certified.

Except for Emirates like this, Maybe Emirates choose on AIRBUS A350-900 xwb/ulr than A350-1000 xwb/ulr because so many BOEING 777-8/9X orders for Emirates.

RR holds the world record for time-on-wing endurance for their RB211on a B757. GE90 isn`t even a relevent engine as the B777300-ER isn`t manufactured anymore. Both T-XWB -84 & -97 have proved their reliability & excellent economy this being proven by their order books. Twelve months after EIS for the GE9X then you will be able to assess it`s reliability, but then GE90 & GEnx issues on their EIS are blotted from your mind I guess?!
