I highly recommend turning on CC/subtitles for this video because I use similar sounding acronyms a lot (DKP, TKP) and couldn't be bothered to add text to this video. Also the recorded audio was so bad (new mic and new environment, didn't test) I had to run it through this enhancement thing which made certain parts sound more weird than usual.
Good call. I’m very familiar with all the terms used & it got a little thick with the variations at points- if TH-cam had a playback speed control, I would have slowed you down a tad 😅
@@stewwho6044 Yeah I was listening to myself and they all started to sound the same. And TH-cam does have a playback speed feature! Tap that gear ⚙️ icon.
So what I want to do is take my Exway 4WD, convert it to a 2WD with the new Ace RKP Trucks, Use the Hydro Cloudwheels 100mm. I am unsure of some couple things before I order. My main Idea is to make the Atlas Pro in a lightweight build for non offroading. But I have a couple concerns, for 1 I currently live in an area with some steep hills and certain spots have speedbumps or whatnot so I am worried with lowering my board I could run into ground clearance issues where the motors could potentially scrape the ground. Secondly I am not sure if I can alter the 4wd to be a 2wd board by somehow removing one of the battery control units for the front and instead putting a plastic cover on it. My 3rd concern is that the board wouldn't have enough power to get up the hills; usually I ride on 6% grade hills but sometimes during my ride I go to steeper hills around the 26% mark or more. I want to enhance maneuverability but sometimes I do want speed so I plan on switching setups out depending on what I need. I also don't know if I should get a 44t or 36t pulley setup for the wheels. Are there any tips or could you see if the setup I plan is even possible or useful? Thanks for the vids Daniel Kwan P.s. I already have the perfect Offroad and Street Race setups I use sometimes interchanging for group rides or events but the reason I want to try and build a lightweight version is for my commutes as both of those setups also use the AUX pack and are very very heavy and I cant really wheel them around or anything if I make a trip to the store.
I think I’m going to buy these trucks right now. I am running a double kingpin set up with 6374 motors and a top speed of about 64 kph and I had a wipeout that put me in the ER going 14 miles an hour due to the instability that comes with the double kingpin trucks
So I currently run 8”/200mm tires on my board for off-roading and overall ground clearance so I can go over EVERYTHING, would this be something to add to my collection considering my current DKP trucks from Exway are bent by my riding style - would it be best to just order a new truck from them or get these instead- or does somewhere else make DKP trucks that are CNC and stronger for heavier more aggressive riders with the same style/compatiblity as Exway’s ?
Thanks for the great content.what board would you suggest for a mountainous wet area.I have been looking into Baja, Trampa, Ecombl(considering price, this looks good)what are other mountain boards are therr to look at as there doesn't seem to be all to many options that aren't ridiculously priced.Thank you
Probably because they can’t point inward with DKP trucks. Even if they could, big motors on a drop-thru deck with small wheels may be too close to the ground.
*Enjoyed this video!* ⚡🤙🏼🤙🏼⚡ I was surprised how much I enjoyed DKP as I love RKP. RKP needs to come back as the mainstream for esk8, not a fan of TKP. RKP with Rake can achieve the same turnin as TKP but with better geometry, pretty much for the reasons you mention. Amazin to see Exway offer this, I hope 1 or 2 others join the party with RKP on these big boards, MBoards are doin adjustable angles baseplate RKP trucks on their new board, pretty awesome 👌🏼 TKP feels like a passin trend in esk8, DKP and RKP will reign 😂🤙🏼
Another great visual explanation Daniel 🙌🙏- in this case the KEY to EVERY deck’s carve & ride feel 🏄🏻♂️ I love what Exway has done with motor mount placement 👏 & BRAND NEW kingpin set up 😍. So innovative! We’re so lucky that companies are constantly engineering better rides for us 🎉 Two other SUPER new innovations I’d love to hear your take on Daniel- Mboards just released an angle adjustable truck baseplate (YES!) & Waterborne just released a limiter for their (AH-MAY-ZING) surf adapter- preventing wheel bite while still carving DEEEEP 🏂 🥂 keep ‘em coming mr Kwan 🙏
why the F... are they 9,5" if the DKP on Atlas Pro was 10,5" ?????????? what reason is for it? why its less wide than the original trucks??? its stupid to me....I'll prefer them even wider than 10,5.....and...the prize...argh
mis information all day bro i worked at emad elctric skateboards designing and making electric boards good click bait tho alot of these designs have been around for a while learn skate history my guy what your saying is opinion smdh

3:50 i appreciate that you spilled all your bushings accross the room for this shot ;)!
Thank you! 😭
Showing the smoking Bamboo Hadean while mentioning the cutout ends at 5:45 is hilarious.
I just got them had a hard fall but switched them to the high speed bushings and everything great thx for the in put 🎉

This a very detailed and highly informative video. Excellent. I always look forward to your content.
For AT tires or 2 in 1 boards, I wish that they could make the hangers at least 1" wider for DKP.

Beek waiting for this video 😭 thank you
Great info as always!
I'm totally getting these for my meepo envy so I can put gear drive on it! Where I live my belt graveyard grew very fast in a short time 😢
Having motors pointed inwards looks so much better. Any idea to why companies don't do that?
Probably because they can’t point inward with DKP trucks. Even if they could, big motors on a drop-thru deck with small wheels may be too close to the ground.
Hi DKwan
Is there any benefit in terms of range aspect? Thanks always for the videos.
No difference in range
Buddy what tyres are you using on your atlas pro
*Enjoyed this video!*

Hello Daniel!
can you tell me what size belt is needed for the 56T and 36T pulley?
Suggest you ask Exway about that
Another great visual explanation Daniel 🙌🙏- in this case the KEY to EVERY deck’s carve & ride feel 🏄🏻♂️

🥂 keep ‘em coming mr Kwan 🙏
Does it make sense to put them with street wheels? Can they be mounted inward with streets?
There’s a minimum size requirement for these, I forget the number. IIRC, most street wheels won’t work due to clearance issue.
@@DanielKwan thanks. I mean big streets, like 105/110.
i cant get R1 remote for my X1 MAX
Neither a GAN charger for the ltestboard
smells like internal issues ...
fitted to a boosted board v2?(evil laugh)
Here early 🙌🏾

Haha, the smoking shit-stick at 5:45. In other words, don't put a quality part on a turd.
Yiu need to pronounce you ds and ts more clearly you keeo dropping dkp and tkp but i cant tell if you mean d or t lmao

So which parts did I get wrong? And what designs did you think I said was new aside from that longer RKP baseplate?
