    I would bet that getting it to fire in full auto is a very easy conversion. It's also legal in the UK to have full auto airsoft guns.

    its amazing how realistic it is even down to the sights and all the shapes of the parts, and field stripping and the barrel/spring/slide assembly...i just bought one to match my real MKXIX in 44 mag and shoot much cheaper lol

    I also was only into airguns, until I bought my first airsoft pistol. I use aluminum 0.3 gr bbs or black bbs for realism (mostly so you don't see them fly out ). You can use up to 0.4 gr. The metal bbs are recyclable if you shoot into a proper curtain trap. Bottom line is, I find that you get more for your money with airsoft guns. They are generally better built (for the same money), have larger capacity mags and are less expensive. They also have an adjustable "Hop-Up" which will help with long distance shooting and increase or decrease your velocity. I shoot in my indoor range, mostly at 30 ft. My latest rifle is a Cyma P90 bull-pup. I wish you would review this one Mr Andy. This thing is an AEG; meaning Airsoft Electric Gun. Rechargeable battery pack. No more CO2 !! Now since I recycle the metal 6mm bbs, I can shoot all day at NO cost It shoots consistently over 350 fps (400 plus with std 0.2 bbs) with up to 2500 shots / charge. FPS drop-off is minimal, if not insignificant.. Even after hundreds of shots, the variance was not more than 1 or 2 FPS. It is also one of the most accurate gun / rifle I own. At 30 ft, rested position, I get 60 at of 68 shots in a 1 1/2 inch grouping. Oh yes, it has a 68 bb magazine, and full auto where I am. Thank you Mr Andy, Pete, from Montreal :-)

    Would have been sweet to see Andy try out some 6mm 0.80g steel BBs with this one at the allsorts.. :D
    I have this same DE myself also. It truly is nice and sweet to shoot with. It truly is accurate on target.
    Could have bought the full-auto Cybergun version from right here in Finland - but the price would have been way higher.
    The fast cooling of the CO2 usually made it almost impossible for it to lock back after the last shot of many shots. But I solved that by replacing the original recoil rod bushings (between the springs) with a bit shorter ones. Locks back now! ;)

    Try again. The only trouble with Airsoft is that, if you are not a member of U.K.A.R.A the re enactment association,you can’t buy these guns without them being painted a garish colour. Dumb I know, because if you buy the none Airsoft version that fires STEEL bb’s or lead pellets it doesn’t have to be coloured. For instance I have the colt 1911 in 4.5 and also in 6mm, components of both guns are fully inter changeable, how daft is that. Further more you can buy Airsoft guns in standard finish without being a member of UKARA second hand, I know I have quite a few I’ve bought from Gunstar. So be advised Airsoft guns are great ( and I am 69 ) fun and great to collect as there are more classic models available. Ido like your show Andy its very informative and entertaining. Look forward to the next one. Psst, try to get a M1 A3 grease gun.

    I had to laugh at the reaction to actually playing airsoft. It can sting a bit yes but overall it's far less painful than painball and nowhere near as messy notwithstanding mud of course.
    As for the automatic reference, full auto airsoft is perfectly legal in the UK subject to particular muzzle energy limitations. The three safety positions are a bit odd, I've stripped and reassembled the real thing on a couple of occasions and that certainly is semi auto only and full auto .50AE from a pistol boggles the mind! 😁

    @simonbradburn2375 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    In airsoft you can only shoot at a competitor if they are 50ft from you. It's no worse than a sharp flick. Also it's more fun than walking round a muddy field looking for rabbits to shoot, trust me i know.

    What about the Umarex .177 pellet version?

  • @chris_ackroyd
    @chris_ackroyd 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Maybe a bit late but most (all) sites would not let that be used as the max FPS allowed is 350. Also accuracy/distance may be improved by adjusting the ‘hop-up’.
    ...and Airsoft guns MUST be fired when vertical otherwise the bb will vear (sic) to the side.
    Great videos BTW

      I'm not 100% sure, but I believe, a respray technically counts as manufacture of a RIF and can carry a hefty penalty. We have some damn silly laws. I'd like to continue collecting airsoft but can't as I'm mostly housebound and so can't join an airsoft field etc. Fortunately air pistols count as real guns not replicas so are fine, as are deacts (though they're getting more restricted constantly) whereas airsoft (used to be toys now Realistic Imitation Firearms) and models/non-firing replicas and blanks are not available to us in general (exceptions do apply as with many laws). I wonder if there's any evidence showing this stuff reduced violent crime as part of the VCR act or if it was just more nonsense to appear to be doing something...

    Airsoft guns are awesome dude, I've never understood the hate. Sure...some idiots think they're on par with real guns...of course they aren't. Real guns are tools, airsoft are replica toys. (I mean tools for certain jobs, and guns are an awesome tool for some jobs).
