    The Smoke & Mirrors Intro Riff (the one after the crazy sweeps) is also a real right hand + synchronization killer.

    What always struck me with Romeo is just how accurate he is. Be it his picking hand or his fretting hand, it always looks like his movements are so effective and so fluid.

    Brilliant work yet again! Have you considered the intro/verse riff to Evolution? Gotta love it. Such a great uh, right-hand warmup exercise shall we say :)

    Can you please do a 'Wicked' tutorial ? The rests and the time signature changes just melt my brain! But what can you do,Romeo's a beast!!

    You know what could be cool? I know that Symphony X rearranged a whole bunch of classical music sections and used them in their composition (Bach, Bartok, Holst...). It would be interessting to study how they arranged them to be playable by a metal band.

      Yes, the "Classical Pieces in Symphony X Songs" is a great video. I had only recognized a few pieces they took over the years and was surprised that a few of my favorite parts weren't even written by them!

    Great job on that..!!! What about making a video for the starting riff from ''Run with the devil'' from the last Symphony X album

    This is sick Levi, I LOVE that you are giving Michael Romeo some much needed exposure to more people. The guy is a monster. Often tried to figure out or hunt for decent versions of people playing that crazy intro to 'Seven' off the Paradise Lost album. The guy is so silky smooth. How about looking at some of his chord progressions too?

    • @LeviClay
      @LeviClay  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could do seven... if I could pick that well haha
      Any progressions in particular?

    awesome lesson! Can you breakdown the Mozart piece from the solo in dressed to kill? I tried learning it and the tried several picking patterns and couldn't get to speed with any of them.

    Nevermore chorus riff would be killer!

    • @LeviClay
      @LeviClay  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s deffo coming! I just need to get my stamina back up for it! I can play it at about 90% speed confidently at the moment.

    That's awesome! My favorite song by them. I really love the classical bit near the end of the song too. Maybe sometime you could do Run With The Devil or Evolution?

    I am genuinely excited about the Romeo Series. I will follow every episode. Lately, I have been fooling around with the Accolade II-Solo. Maybe that would be an idea? Also, I´d love to see some more technical stuff. Anyway - great idea!

    Man, found these way too late... wana bring back the Michael Riffeo series? Would lovvvvve to see one where you focus on the riffs from Lords of Chaos, real underrated song from Iconoclast in my opinion but it is full of great riffs specifically the one that starts at 3:43 in the song, its fucking killer. Cheers dude!

    Thanks for these lessons! Michael Romeo is a genius.
    I would love a lesson on the two riffs at the beginning of Sevil Alucard from the Dark Chapter (the whole first minute of the song).
    A lesson on some of his acoustic chord Progresions would be great too. Specially from his first albums.

    I'm loving this series man, great content! I would suggest In The Dragon's Den. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about.

    Can I ask? Why would a guitar teacher use a guitar with no fret markers?
    Good lesson. I agree it doesn't need broken down. A video of how to add tab to a video, might be popular. Especially for the free editor - shotcut.

    • @LeviClay
      @LeviClay  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because I like the guitar... and there’s a tab

    Why not use your Caparison MJR for this series? Or did you get rid of it?

    • @LeviClay
      @LeviClay  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I sold it to get this Mayones 😭😭😭
      I regret that and will buy another one when it comes up. I got this though because I needed a fixed bridge guitar to keep in drop C as I’m writing a lot and the MJR was the only guitar I could shift to find it 😭

    did you honestly call the album "vee"?
    it's "five".
    anybody that's ever listened to the lyrics should know that.
    sorry if that sounded rude, it's hard with just a comment to express genuine "sharing of information" sometimes.
