    Great video, would love to take an empty carry on to Japan just to bring it back full of games, love the art on the cases and boxes especially when they are cheap and look good

    One of the greatest shops I've ever seen. But good quality of the box doesn't guarantee that CD/DVD is also OK, correct?

    • @MattFinds
      @MattFinds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was a very very clean shop. Usually it does, as if they have the box - it might means the console hasn't been used or barely used :)

      That's pretty cool, I'd love to have an online store. Where do you hunt for retro games in Tokyo?

    Greetings from Brazil, Matt.
    First, thanks for your amazing game hunting videos!
    And second, what stores do you suggest to someone that will visit Japan and whats to do a game hunt?
    I know Super Potato but its maybe the most expensive one.
    Keep up with the good work, thank you bro!!

      Thank you very much for the kind words man :)
      If you want to buy games at a reasonable price, I would suggest going to Nakano Broadway (it's a huge building with 4 floors), Hard Off (they have stores scattered in Tokyo) and Book off (they sometimes have great selection of video games).

      The stores in Akihabara and Nakano such as Super Potato have curated, cleaned, tested games and consoles so they are convenient if you only have a few days in Tokyo. Unfortunately, they are in the tourist areas so of course the prices are high and you also compete with both other tourists and local Japanese for the same items. As for hardoffs, the ones that are close to train stations may not be so good in terms of price and stock because tourists can find them easily as well and pick them clean, so you should find hardoffs that are out in the suburbs if you have the time.

      Nice man :) I have been looking for this game for a long time. I found some at the chain store "Hard Off" but the game was expensive.
      The sega saturn one was around $80 and the ps1 one was about $60.

    Are all these in Japanese, or can we change the language in game ?

    • @MattFinds
      @MattFinds  ปีที่แล้ว

      Most of the games are in Japanese and a few in English. It really depends on the game, but some of them you can change the language to English except the older consoles like gameboy and ps1.
