I think you are over looking some info on the shipping to Puerto Rico. I personally exclude it as many other resellers do, I also exclude Alaska and Hawaii. I offer free shipping on the majority of my items and it cost a fortune to ship to places like Puerto Rico from the Midwest. eBay international will also be offered to Alaska and Hawaii in October. I believe that you can bypass eBay international and just offer direct service yourself if you are worried about cost the buyer must pay. I also believe that USPS does offer Ground to Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Alaska which is werid, but many Ground packages are put on planes.
It was my understand that the international shipping program was an all or nothing program. You either opt in or out of it all together. I’ll have to look more into that. USPS does offer ground shipping. I’m in Florida, I ship a lot to PR. The issue from my research comes to UPS and FedEx not offer ground rates to PR. It’s going to be interested seeing what happens with the program over the next year.
I was gonna say I wish hawaii and alaska would be added to International shipping too. Glad to hear it will be rolled in as well. People in PR also leave negative feedback when you cancel their orders too. (Even if you explain it to them.) Not paying more than the item sold for to ship to PR. This is a good move by ebay. Doesn't matter if they are "part of the US." They are so far away
This is great news. I sold Funko's and used Fedex shipping to keep shipping costs down for my customers due to weight and box size. Fedex did not deliver to Puerto Rico. Since I couldn't change the shipping method for tracking in Ebay, I had to refund sales to Puerto Rico multiple times for my protection and the customer even though they offered to pay more. This would have allowed me to get the customer their product and still offer economical pricing. Bravo Ebay.
I’m not sure why you could change the shipping method. When you go to buy your label you can click on the other shipping providers to use a different carrier.
Love your videos not only because of your beautiful pups but also because I learn something new about you each one. Plus I always learn more about different niches. I listed my first designer box today…I’ll let you know when it sells. Prayers for blue 💙🙏
lol, I used to work in the nightclub and bar industry. We used to get distributors would come in and give us a bunch of promotional items to use. People will buy them and use them as golf towels. It goes perfect with Golfing and drinking beer, lol.
I think they just didn't describe the change correctly. I got notified of the change a couple weeks ago. My last order from Puerto Rico went out July 10 and it was direct to the buyer, it didn't go through the international hub like my other international orders.
Holy crap dude, those Godzilla and horror magazines were phenomenal. I have zero idea what Ebay is doing changing the international shipping like that lol. #staylegendary &, much ❤ man
Thanks man! I knew you would like enjoy them. By the way, I was today years old when I found out that they released spawn cards in the 90’s. They are on my radar to rip open.
I have hit marked shipped button on ebay by accident before. Buyer messaged me and said they never received it. Checked my inventory and it was still there!
I was reading through the description but didn't see the camera you use for your videos at the sales and which mount you use. Maybe a video on your equipment?
Doctor who magazines I don't know how the do reselling but when I was trying to collect them they were over $10 an issue over ten years ago. I finally gave up. Horror hound does do well I sold a lot of them a few months ago for close to $200. Girls and Corpses are rare because they never really did the subscription model they just randomly put out issues over 18 years I have a few of them.
@@FlippingandPunching If you find the vol 2 issue of fango with the scream cover it is a bolo. I sub to it and horror hound and usually just lot them up and increase the lot with each new issue until someone pounces on it. However someone bought that scream one for fifty or sixty by itself and I could not pass that up.
They added PR to the international program because a lot of sellers turn off shipping to US territories. At least thats my guess. You see it over all the ebay forums to turn off territories because shipping there can be more expensive especially for large, heavy items. It definitely seems like an off choice by eBay though. Maybe they'll add in Alaska next. 😂
Hopefully they can add Hawaii after Alaska 😂. I understand that people turn it off. If eBay was going to add it to the program they could have just called it something different. They could have called anything other than international shipping and they would of been fine. It’s not the best marketing, lol.
I sent 2 small plastic figures Internationally. It weighed less than 8 Oz in a 9" x 6" envelope. Their "trusted" warehouse re-weighed and said it was 1 lb, so Ebay charged me a higher shipping fee. Then they said I had changed my dimensions from 8"x10"x1" to 9"x6"x1". I told Ebay why does it matter, the dimensions are smaller however you turn the dimensions on the envelope. Ebay had changed shipping fees on me a couple of times, especially Internationally. Has anyone else had this issue?
It’s not eBay is the shipping carrier that you use. They update the shipping weight and dimensions. They will then bill the shipping account (eBay). eBay then bills you. I have had it both ways. I have had been billed for additional shipping charges and I have been refund by them because I was over charged. I regularly double check my scale to make sure it’s set on zero and works right before shipping any items:
@@FlippingandPunching ok thanks. I double check package weight at USPS kiosk as well and took pictures. I didn't get a refund on the last. The first tune, I didn't get a refund, but a $10 credit to purchase through ebay. Thanks for the reply and your vids.

Yes, I ship to them all the time as well. I am in florida, so I get a lot of PR customers. What I am learning is a lot of people only ship to the Lower 48 US States. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
Puerto Rico is US Territory however it is not a State nor is a sovereign nation. For example citizens of Puerto Rico enjoy many of the aspects of the US Constitution yet not others. Understand something FedEx contract which freights a whole lot of air bound parcels be they "air mail" or not stops in August. UPS has been awarded the contract and UPS is quite different than FedEx. Any package in the charge of UPS they reserve the right to open, inspect, report on and on as they ARE the freighting arm in ground and rail above ANY in America. They've rather sophisticated technology and logistics that also come at a price thats more in their expenses than say FedEx. We're going to see postal rates go up in big fashion both due to Trump's move towards the 10 year plan by which the USPS MUST be running in the green AND the additional expense associated with UPS. Make no mistake, its all undercurrent in plans of regulating and restricting third party seller commerce just as is The Shop Safe Act which has now moved to Congressional review as of a few weeks back. ALL THIS revolves around regulatory measures, the days of sellers jut selling away and doing as they please is coming to an end. Sad as that may be it is the fact.
