This is how you use wraiths to kill carriers. You see a bunch of carriers you don't keep building gols to try and kill them and hope they make a mistake, you bank 8-12 wraiths and focus the obs and cheese the carriers. That first strike prob won him the game. His macro really suffered going wraiths it seems. Also missing ups on them. Ship weapons would of helped a lot.
True, but if Protoss adds like 5 corsairs it becomes really dangerous :O
A real Protoss player mixes in ground units too. Yes, the initial wraith attack will deal damage. But then the goons have the advantage after that
That wraith attack is at 10:35 for anyone interested.
I have tested in some FFA games that a group of Valkyries (7 - 8) + Goliaths are a very good counter. I know that it is expensive and not easy to do in 1vs 1. But that I have seen it work, makes me think it is possible to do it in 1vs1 given the correct circumstances
@@skykur goons have no advantage over wraiths if the obs are sniped. Once the carriers are dead terran players really don't care how many goons are on the field. Goons are actually the weakest play a protoss player could make. Invisible Men Production is correct that 5 corsairs are the hard counter.

I had watched the game on stream, but rewatched here. Nice game.
I think what almost screwed arty is that the initial push on the main had the tanks sitting behind at first. At 12:10 (video time) he pushed the nat, but it seems the tank stand too far behind so he doesn't kill the nat fast enough to go and do massive damage in the main. at 12:30 the tanks are still not dealing damage. The tanks only start shooting at 12:57.
I understand he had a million things to do. But I feel that push should have dealt way more damage than it did!
shit's kind of ridiculous in a way.. He went all in carriers and you wiped out every carrier like 20 of them, and it still was a close nail biting type game.. Kind of ridiculous..

just a small feedback...I used to enjoy your old vods where I could enjoy a good sc game without the "special effects" like close-ups and other edited stuff
it probably works better now with most of your public, or maybe that's just what you like to do, but just wanted to say I liked the old "uninterrupted" broodwar game better
no worries, just wanted to say it, in case I'm not alone :)
I prefer to see the whole game, without skipping and adding all kinds of comments. The current way of presentations completely ruins the game. I hope you will change it.
