Ever since I saw this scene, I sing my cat a little song whenever its time for him to eat his dinner, or as I like to call his “Din-Din.” His name is Simba but I call him “Himbah” As a silly nickname, so I basically just sing this song but change the lyrics to “Himbaahhhh, Himbaahhh, he is ready for din-dinnnnnn” and he starts meowing constantly every time he hears that first note. 😂
Seth MacFarlane being musically gifted and adding things like this along with a full orchestra for all music in the series is just a gift from the heavens.
This is an example of why early Family Guy worked. It took an utterly absurd joke that in normal circumstances wouldn’t be funny and ran all the way with it to make it funny.
