    Tennis is an elite sport and needs deep pockets to create champions with the exception of the Williams sisters. Even Federer , Rafa and Djokovic have rich parents that can support their training

      You generally need a well-off background, but not necessarily billionaire! But either way you still need to put in the work if you want to get to the top.
      As Federer said recently, effortless is a myth.

      Yes you do need to be wealthy to recieve the best training or you need to be exceptionally talented, which is how the William sisters GOT their top tier training. Their whole career was financed thru gifts and scholarships to the best academy’s and coaches…You need money in tennis to get to the top and to stay at the top!!! Without that, talent will only get you so far,

      Novak’s parents were not rich- he’s talked about the sacrifices they made to give him the opportunities he had. Novak tells a story about being a boy and his father putting about $10.00 on the dining table and saying that’s all they had.

    • @10scoach33
      @10scoach33 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@karenslaughing Novaks parents were middle class working people who were able to get Novak in touch with the best academy in the area and they recognized his talent and gave him subsidized financial assistance so he was able to train with really good coaches and they paid for his travel as a junior and when he turned pro he paid them back when he started winning!!! Not all players have that talent to receive financial support from the tennis governing bodies of their countries , so you either need to be rich or are supremely talented to recieve scholarships

      Nobody with his\her right mind will deny that being rich is advantageous to being poor. As to Jessica Pegula she is not capricious princess, from fairy tales, who for a thrill of it decides to live and compete with commoners. She is a real grid, real deal woman who dedicated her live for the glory of tennis. She has shown the world real heroism and perseverance, where in daily sweat she rises to the pantheon of great tennis players. And this we have to respect. The same applies to Navarro. In the end, I agree with the rest you said.

      @@masterspin7796 You're ignorant or delusional if you think that most if not all top players haven't enjoyed the "best training" and nutrition. They all acquired these advantages one way or another: connections, parents, sponsors, or government support. You think Alcaraz was training on his own or with inferior coaching throughout his childhood? Sinner? Even Monica Seles who grew up poor in the former Yugoslavia was discovered early in life and brought to the U.S. to receive top tier training. All the top players were very fortunate in this way. Focus on improving your own life instead of inventing fictions in order to diminish the accomplishments of others.

    • @andrewb8235
      @andrewb8235 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@elmoblatch9787 LOL. Frances Tiafoe is a great illustration of my point, not a counterexample. Per Wikipedia, "Frances Tiafoe was RAISED [sic] at the Junior Tennis Champion Center...where his father worked as the head of maintenance." Hence, like Monica Seles, Tiafoe received excellent tennis training from a young age thanks to the good fortune of his circumstances. Good fortune comes in many forms, but here we're talking about the good fortune of circumstances allowing one to receive excellent training from a young age. Tiafoe, like Seles, was unusually fortunate in this regard, without being rich. So yes, everyone or NEARLY everyone. One counterexample wouldn't invalidate the general rule anyway, but Tiafoe specifically isn't a counterexample. On the contrary, his biography corroborates my point.

      It 's, You can't imagine how is for the 99% of other tennis player, when just the top 1% are making the big money. Others players don't make enough money to cover, travel expenses , hotel, food, couching, ...etc... by the way is a huge issue in tennis,. Majority of player are obligated to make money doing other activities to compensate that lack of income playing professional tennis. So, if you believe that Bill Gate and Elon Musk just made it by their own merit...think again.

    You can't buy a Wimbledon victory, I guess. It's not her fault that she's a lucky/privileged person. It just makes you root for her a little bit less. If she had any integrity, she would donate a sizable portion of her income to charity. She literally could not spend the money in 40 lifetimes, but no, she'll just keep it all.
