@@Jadensdivine22 If you think about Sam he has the potential to fill the shoes of the clone from the comics. He basically bridges the gap between show Black Noir (seeing the world as cartoons/puppets) and comic Black Noir (matching power set, craziness, blonde hair). Feels like they're kind of reconning the comic/TV storyline to line up a little better.

With Starlight and Mave rebelling against Vought causing riots and protest, Stormfront dieing and being a former N@zi, translucent killed, and everything else going on, the last thing anyone wants to find out is that Black Noir is dead. The comic book Hughie was based on Simon Pegg (the actor that plays Hughie's father), but had aged out of the role by the time the show was green-lit. They were very happy to get him to sign on as his father.
The new noir is talkative, like every scene he's in, he just spews out every reaction that pop off his head.
In the comics, Black Noir has a strong healing factor like Wolverine or Deadpool from Marvel comics. He's known to be near impossible to kill.

@debonlr True, but Homeland doesn't have that level of a healing factor. He does have one, but there is a point where there is to much damage to him to recover. Black Noir is much better in that area. Also, Black Noir in the show had already been shown to have a major healing factor. He was one of the Solderboys' team that pre-dates the 7, and he had his head bashed in, yet he recovered.

I personaly am super glad they dropped the clone homelander story line cause it's weird + now it would make no sense as it was said in the show that Homelander can see through mask. It's either - Sam or Black noir fixed / zombiefied. Third least likely option is new supe.

I'm simply adding on to that scenario, which you introduced. We can't forget why Homelander killed him in the first place, it was only because of Soldier Boy being his father. For the people thinking it's a clone homelander, that theory makes zero sense. If Homelander killed Black Noir and he suddenly comes back as his own clone he isn't going to allow that, even if you make the case that his mask is lined with Zinc that also doesn't make any sense, In homelander's mind he killed Black Noir and he suddenly came back with a mask he can't see through? yeah no Homelander will become suspicious and he WILL find out if it's a clone or not.

I think this is the same character who has been regenerated either thru Stan Edgar or on his own power. Black Noir keeps being beaten up by the team's leaders (Soldier Boy, Homelander). He tried to kill Soldier Boy and I think he will try to kill Homelander.
In season one half of noirs head was burned off and he healed from it. Kinda hard to think a hole punched in his stomach would do him in.
I think Stan Fucking Edgar has something to do with this, especially because how far back he goes with noir. Could be that noir survived.

Ill be honest, i always thought the clone homelander from the comics was a super lame idea, and was so happy the show made Noir his own character. Alot of what they scrapped or altered from the comics I think was for the best

MY Theory will be That the new Noir is just an imposter to cover for the seven that way Home-lander wont have to take the Heat
So far I'd say we don't have any reason to think Sam's HL level right now, but at the same time they did make it clear he's in another league than any of the other young supes. Since supes seem to physically mature at the same rate as normal humans, and we are strongest from mid 20s to mid 30s. I think is safe to assume Sam MIGHT be able to reach that level at some point. Although like with solider boy, I think HL's other powers give him the edge in a 1v1

@KingSlayer_. no offense but I think that's just your assumption, you definitely could be right, but i don't think their's definitive proof yet. I'm just speaking hypothetically because it's a fictional show that hasn't shown us Sam or Ryan's full potential or established HL's upper limits. All we know is HL is the strongest right now and story wise it makes sense for Ryan to surpass him someday. That doesn't necessarily limit Sam tho, all we really know is that his brother was a big stand out and Sam's stronger than he was (and its implied he is by alot). Ultimately Sam and Ryan will be as strong as the plot needs them to be. Idk if Sam will be anything special, all I'm saying is that they've set him up so that he could be if they want to go in that direction with him
@tylermcclain5332 I think that's pretty likely. I also think that a big part of Homelander regrets killing him. He was much closer to Noir then the others, and that's why he was so hurt even tho he's use to people keeping things from him. Noir seemed almost like a brother to him and possibly the only decent relationship he had, and losing that might be hard for him to handle

I’ve really been curious about Black Noir in the trailers. I really doubt they’ll use a clone because there’s too much chatter that it’s the same actor playing the character. I think Ryan will eventually be the one that kills Homelander. I wouldn’t be surprised because of how “The Walking Dead” was played out. Absolutely nothing like the source material
I would argue Sam’s powers more closely represent Queen Maeve. They both punch steel, jump at incredible heights, and can’t be killed by any normal means. I could foresee a story ache where Maeve and Sam are some how’s related or connected. But I don’t think his powers are like Noirs. Noir is more like an Assassin but as a supe. Sam is just brute force and rage.
So, almost like how Victoria Newman has the same powers as Marie Moreau, but they aren't related. So maybe in the boys there is a point in the world where there is a certain limit of powers in the Boys Universe. Maybe, there will be someone with similar powers to Homelander, unless his powers were enhanced and improved, like Soldier boy.

We saw from flashbacks that black noir has had his head completely busted open with his brains laying on the ground and he still healed himself. The toons fading out during his "death" could be him just going unconscious.
I never read the comics but I honestly can’t wait for the season to come also I can’t wait to see what they do with Gen V.

I've came up with a theory that no one else is talking about. The new Black Noir is Soldier Boy. At the end of season 3 the CIA took Soldier Boy. My theory is that they tested on Soldier Boy, made him mute and controllable. They are using him as an inside man until they execute order 66 and set him loose on Homelander. Instead of homlanders clone killing him, it's the original killing him

I really do not think they are going for comic black noir at all, and I hope they do not, honestly. I believe he was just critically enjoyed. Maybe this might start a rivalry between them both and mirror what happens in the comics with black noir still beating him. I feel the clone storyline is a bit boring, and I prefer all of the changes with black noir.

I like the Comic ending. I thought it added a decent twist to Homelander.
In the comics, Black Noir is an actual clone of homelander. Butcher and Noir are the ones who actually kill homelander
I always hated the Clone Plot twist for multiple reasons. Not so much the idea of Black Noir being the real "master mind" in the comics (though quotations are very much needed due to his mental state), but because the whole "we need a counter measure in case Homelander goes crazy! I know, lets make a second Homelander!" it's kind of dumb. Like, I get the show did something similar with Soldier Boy to Homelander, but there Homelander was indeed an "improved" version, and also someone they hoped to mold from childhood, contrary to Soldier Boy who was already a douchbag before the V. It didn't work, if anything they just made something worst, but the logic was there. The perfect clone of Homelander it's like, they can created "Superman Clones" at will, and even brainwatch them... but you only make THE one, to deal with the Original as a plan B, without a Plan C in case Plan B is the one to turn rogue. There is so much wrong in that twist, and it honestly just felt like a way out of how to end the Homelander coup storyline in the Comics as even with the foreshadowing, it just came out at the last second, just in time for both of them to destroy each other (as, even if Black Noir won the fight, he was barely standing afterward, and was unable to fight back any further). If anything, I rather this be the same Black Noir, resurrected through more Compoud V, which is also something from the Comics. Granted, in the Comics that process didn't go well, but with Black Noir some extra brain damage will go in character.
This will be a new character played by the same actor. In the series he can be seen without a mask.
Honestly i think they could wanna try clone Ryan in real life the actor has a twin brother im pretty sure they both play the character of ryan but would be cool to see that

I don’t think it will be Sam. That theory doesn’t make alot of sense and Vought is already pushing him and Cate to be in the Seven in their own respective positions. They already publicly announced them as the gaurdians of Godolkin.
I don't think they would need to brainwash Noir, they were close friends with Homelander from the start so Homelander could just simply continue to string him along, besides Noir has nothing left, and Homelander could use this to his advantage and grant Noir something he wasn't able to achieve with Soldier Boy, besides Noir knows how Vought works so it wouldn't really fase him.
What if it's Soldier Boy a la Winter Soldier style? 🤔
There is no way in hell they are going to copy the comic Black Noir it is too predictable and the fans wouldn’t be happy seeing the writers get lazy and go for that route. The show will definitely not be going on for 7-8 seasons I think 5 seasons MAYBE 6 if they need extra room to wrap the story up. We also have Gen V which may go for another season or 2 they are already writing it as a tie in/gap filler for season 3 and 4 so I do not see that show outliving The Boys. Another point I must mention is that Butcher is terminally ill and only has 12-18 months left to live so I do think he will live to see Homelander die before he himself succumbs to the effects of V24. The end of season 3 confirmed that Homelander isn’t afraid to show his true nature anymore and we will see that manifest in season 4 and maybe by the later episodes or the last episode he snaps and goes full over the edge and tries to take over and he may go toe to toe with Victoria Newman if she begins to pose a threat to him but for now their relationship is merely transactional. I do think Ryan has a good chance of being the one to kill Homelander in some sort of fashion where we see him follow in his dad’s footsteps this season and then he begins to see the wrong in it and may turn on him. Who knows this is all speculation but we will see how accurate everyone’s predictions are when season 4 drops next month.
Is Gen V good? I only watched like 10-15 minutes of the first episode and turned it off. Seems like a cheap knock off compared to the boys and I hated the music they were playing

With the clip if homelander can see the tumor on butcher he can definitely see through costumes.
