Sareena is great for damage and space control, and her meter steal and reversal are pretty great, too, but I just can't make myself give up having a near full screen armored launcher. So, I'll probably always stick with Sonya, Scorpion, or Goro, or Khameleon when she's out. Though, being able to combo off backthrow with Cyrax does tempt me...@@djcantskate3883

But Sonya gives sub alot of mix up his forward 12 into sonya over head can get a back 2 into just 1 2 for 12 slide. But its abit hard youll drop a few they get very little air. But if it misses your safe and if its blocked its also safe
Glad to hear the combos are working for you! The only combo changes I'm aware of from the patch are: B2, B2 is easier to hit back-to-back. This doesn't make new combos just old combos easier. Sonya's charge shot is more damage scaled so worthless to do in combos but you still can for swag I suppose. Opponent stays frozen longer from clone which in some cases means you can dash up for a S4 instead of something faster, though I think that was always possible, too. So the 2:16 combo still works, though for higher damage you should do B2 after the first Sonya call like I show in the combo right after that. Hope that helps! And if it's still not working, let me know I can double-check it.

It takes some getting used to the timing but those charged energy ring combos still work. They're just not worth it anymore due to the damage nerf that came with the recent patch.@@keloing923
That would be a lot, lol, so probably not right now since I'm just sharing Sub tech for fun. However, if there's a combo you can't get, let me know, and I'll provide more info. The main things to know are: One) In air combos, when Sub ground bounces the opponent, that's the 1,2 string, and when he hits them higher (which does more damage) that's the 2,1 string. Two) The last string you'll do before Slide to end the combo will depend on the gravity of the combo. F12~Slide works when the opponent is floaty. Standing 4~Slide when it's medium (like the first combo, he spins his body when kicking), and standing 3~Slide when they're falling fast, at the end of a long combo (he kicks up without spinning). Hope that helps!
NRS nerfed it with the recent patch, unfortunately, so it actually does less damage including the charged shot than not, so no reason to worry about doing it anymore.
PS5. If you're asking because you're seeing a damage difference on Sonya charge shot combos when you do them, that's because I made this right before the nerf to that move. Sadly, it's no longer worth using in combos as it actually does less damage with than without.
Ahhh, gotcha. Yeah, Goro is nice with Sub too, especially since he allows you to combo slide which is my preferred Sub playstyle. I wish he didn't take so long to recharge though, and it can be hard to make him land exactly where you want, but I can see that if someone mastered him the combo could be very strong. @@ericgoesham535

What makes sareena best is the safety she offers on top of valid mix and the ability to also combo off more strings

the combos with sonya blade projectile do not work the ones starting at 1:23 you cant hit the overhead anymore unless im doing somethng wrong
They still work--timing is just tight--but there's no point in doing them anymore because the last patch scaled them 😞
Does the combo at 2:16 still work? Everything else works great 👍 except this combo. I think the update might have changed it
