Love this video, no long talks talks talks. Beautiful work (and music too). However, some comments or text would be very helpful for me. I like to know as I want to make about 10 of them for my garden: 1) what kind of cement mix to use, 2/ what stuff was spread on the surfaces that contact with cement ? (I guess it ensures that cement would not get "glued" to the plastic chair and the styrofoam).
A nice finishing for the outer surfaces is rubbing in some soil and then moss or lichens. Over a long period of time that is what would happen naturally, but you can accelerate it like that. Great idea to use the stool for shaping the corners, the most difficult parts of a rectangular shape.
So many negative comments on here. The guy is simply showing you his way of creating this design. Please show some respect. Maybe if you could do it better make a video!
Tim from Canada again here is another suggestion if you were going to work on your cement floor put some sort of a tarp down or a piece of plastic you were going to reel on your cement if you’re going to do cement work put a tarp down so you do not destroy your cement floor or patio or driveway.. or whatever you were working on
I've seen something similar using a dry mix with snowcrete with a blend of sand and a fine aggregate. Saves having to seal the mould up and the mould is reusable with little prep.
@Kym Kymee, better to use that talent at building something that's more cost effective. To me this looks just like an expensive hobby. It's nice, but impractical for someone trying to make a living out of this.

Do thin clay pots crack without rio ? Yes, but don't generally fall apart. Cement, same. Reinforcing with Rio does not stop cracks. How's your driveway ?

But its so easy for us if you had been giving a small slide (names of things you were used ) in between video then may be your video may also became beautiful
Gratitude 🙏🏻 to ‘I Craft’ Artist for sharing. Polystyrene, plastic stool with 1 strut removed, blow torch, plastic shaped insert made with stanly knife and steel ruler, silicon sealant and silicon canister holder to push sealer into cracks! Apply grease or oil to mould and mould insert with a brush. Put sand into main mold and a plastic cap with oil/grease on it in the centre for drainage hole, mix cement/sand to creamy consistency and pour into a depth of 15cm tapping and vibrating to break bubbles must do this! Leave until dry, place in plastic insert and fill with sand to hold insert firmly in position, leaving equal space on all sides make cement/sand mix again to thick pouring consistency, then pour into the side spaces slowly using a funnel and tapping all the time to bring bubbles out of the mix, leave to dry, when dry remove weight of sand from inner mould and with Stanley knife score the silicon sealer in the plastic mold corners, pull out sealer to allow air to loosen the sides of the plastic mold, remove mold sides gently, lay whole item carefully on its side and take off tape with polystyrene, leave to dry now until securely solid form use your judgement, using blow torch warm the original plastic stool to loosen the new pot. Separate both and stand your pot up. Paint as desired or leave natural.

When he put the chair into a mold, it was a chair with 4 horizontal bars but when drawn it was a chair with 3 horizontal bars
