@@Erikthedood Problem with fans is that if you give 'em an inch, they'll take a mile. One update becomes pestering or ingratitude toward what they got to see i.e. "it's not enough," "we should have gotten more," yada, blah blah blah. Kingdom Hearts 3's biggest failure was that they showed too much and because of that, they could never live up to the expectations fans had for the game. That's why people got so pissed off that it didn't live up to those expectations. Like Kurayami said. "Let them cook."
You think we'll ever hear about that "incident" Nomura mentioned a while back? I wonder if the silence and ML's delay are related to that. Missing Link console edition? Disney+ tie-in after the hype surrounding the resurfaced pilot? Who the heck knows. There are a lot of great games out there, so I'm not stressing too much. We've all got backlogs we've been meaning to get through lol.
I say that the kh community should chill out nd let square cook considering when kh3 was getting marketing and trailers they practically showed off the whole story nd every world fr so i think them not showing us anything is good for the time being tbh
I definitely get the frustration and anxiety because surprisingly you didn’t bring up Missing Link. Which I also think is a big factor into why the game is being kept in the dark. But like you mentioned it’s basically just a guessing game to why we haven’t had any information for KHIV. Whenever that development issues or possibly Nomura and the team going for a bigger ambition goal for KHIV too with the UE5. We won’t really know until we get a new trailer and that’s where the team can proper explain themselves.
I already gave up in June, was validated in November when Missing Link got indefinitely delayed, and already knew TGA never shows Kingdom Hearts stuff, so I didn’t bother. There have been talks of a direction change, and the change might either be enough to rework part of or the entirety of the development, so expect nothing for the next few years. Maybe 2026 is the earliest to expect an update for Missing Link, but 2028 is the earliest to expect KH4 at this point 😂
as if kingdom hearts would ever show up at the game awards. considering how geoff keighley treats square enix games, i also wouldn't book a slot there. more importantly, KH4 was revealed at the 20th anniversary event to get ahead of potential leaks that the game was in development at all. we know that it was nowhere near ready to show
We are still being forced to buy new consoles and or handhelds every time a new game in the Kingdom Hearts series releases. EVERY TIME. I have to wonder if this is some kind of scam.
Almost. Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II, and Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories were on PS2 (But you had to wait to play Chain of Memories until after KH2 came out.) Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded were both on DS (But Birth by Sleep released between them on PSP and Re:Coded was released earlier on in Japan on Mobile so this wasn't its first release either) Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ / Union χ [Cross] and Dark Road were on the same app. (But part of the story being χ Back Cover was on Playstation 4) The exception to the rule: Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep ~ A Fragmentary Passage and Kingdom Hearts III released on the same console (Unless you count the χ updates between the 2 titles' releases, and that's on mobile. Also, 0.2 is kind of a prologue to KH3 anyways.)
@@zanderlaitinen7109 Chain of Memories was on Game Boy Advance first. The PS2 version was a pack in title with the Japanese extended cut of KH2 which back then only released in Japan. America had to wait years for the PS2 version of COM to come to the west and we had to pay for it seperately. Then we had to wait longer for the extended cut of KH2 on PS3.

They need to stop switching engines mid development because games take long enough to make as it is. If it's going to be on the same system that it started development for, what's the point of switching?
I'm glad Square Enix is being hush hush about KH4. I say be patient and let them cook.
For sure. Better than the.. what, 20+ trailers we got for KH3? They left nothing to the imagination by showing off so much footage.
@@qrowingcompletely agree
No one doesn’t want them to “cook.” We just want a damn update on the game it’s been almost 3 years

KH4 is not a secret my friend. You let your hype and excitement control you this time lol

Once Sora hit the clip of sliding through the walkway, bringing back the imagery of FF VersusXIII. We all should've known it was a sign.

Would not surprise me if Nomura pulled some last minute story additions to better tie ML to KH4.
