Skill
Longevity
The right attitude
Mike had no longevity and at the time he had a foul attitude, the guy is a saint now but back then he wasn't a nice person.
That reflected badly on his career... which only lasted 3 years on top.
Lennox Lewis is older that Mike, when they had their fight. Mike was about the same age as Wilder is now.
Also lets be real, Wilder at 34 would destroy Tyson at 34.

Wilder is one dimensional boxer just has his right hand and doesn’t have anything else in his locker , fury is elusive , faints better movement , leg work and is very awkward and unpredictable in his stance and attacks and defence and has a far higher superior Boxing IQ ! Didn't see it tonight. Wasn't too 'elusive' to avoid those right hands yet managed to miss all of his own big punches until he landed just one that hurt Wilder. Basically just brute forced Wilder this fight.

Wilder looked below average like we knew the man couldn’t box and only had his right hand but damn tonight he literally hardly landed a clean punch the entire fight. Shit was getting hard to watch. I think we’re all glad his corner threw in the towel

Fury realized after the 1st fight...that he arguably won...that he needed to stop back peddling and be more of the aggressor in the fight...he is 2 or 3 inches taller and 40 pounds heavier...and a better technical boxer. And obviously it worked big time. That was a major beat down. I give Wilder props for lasting as long as he did. I know he didn't want the fight stopped but I can't imagine what shape he'd be in if that fight lasted another round or 2. Then his team and the Ref would have been held accountable if he ended up in a coma or something...which is where I believe it could have headed if it went on. They did the right thing.

Biggest difference is after the first fight, Tyson fury leveled up, while wilder didn’t get any better. Wilder in my opinion hasn’t gotten better from any of his fights, he just relies on the one big right hand, worked up until now, finally caught up to him
Difference is fury is fit now and not just back from a drunken drug fueled fat rampage. Wilder is not on his level. Never was. Wilder has never fought anyone notable really, ortiz is alright, but barely a top ten fighter, wouldn't do so well in Europe where the level is higher. I stil have wilder in top 5 as his power is undeniable but he loses to whyte and aj.
I wouldn't judge Wilder on this fight, as he obviously lost the use of his legs in the third round, after getting ear damage from a punch. The fact that he lasted so long in that condition was remarkable. If Fury brings him back to the UK, he could go back to the way he won the first fight and win, instead of getting robbed by judges. Wilder should only fight him in the USA, then I think there isn't much between them.
Totally agree with you, I have watched wilder for years and screamed at the TV why when he draws that big right back nobody steps in and fires a big uppercut on him, a iron Mike would of sussed that out a long time ago. That's why wilder has dodged aj for so long, coz he's not afraid of getting in close and shooting off a uppercut or 2.
