    I use DRY LUBE SPRAY........a suggestion no dust and dirt collects, nor running from heat. I have a D4 same thing grinds a bit. Bought the D4 when they first came out many many years Go. It's still is working without problems but it's a slowwwwww charger. I use it daily on 18650's and believe slow is good to the battery.

    Does the USM2 LCD screen DIM after 10 minutes & is the dimmed screen REALLY DARK or just a bit dimmer compared to the normal LCD brightness ?

    • @SirioSechi
      @SirioSechi  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, it remain normal brightness for all the charge time.

    I heard that after plugging-in and un-plugging the USB cable from this device that the USB port quickly gets loose and the device breaks and stops working because the USB connector soldering points are the only thing holding the USB port in. Is this true? This device overall seems very nice but if the USB connector is poorly held together or poorly installed then I do not want to buy something that is going to quickly break. Thannks in advance if you can help me answer this question!

      Hi, I disassembled the UMS2: the USB port is hold by 2 soldering point and 2 pins on the electronic board. To my point of view it looks strong enough because I tried to force the USB port with my nails and it seams tough. I think to break this microUSB port you need to plug an USB cable and leverage strongly, which is not normal.
      I hope I helped you.

    Hello,
    I have a doubt that I would like to clarify.
    I generally use my UMS2 to charge Ni-MH battery types, recently I purchased a few USB rechargeable 650mAh 14500s and I observed that the batteries charge in almost 2hrs 40mins using a 5V 1A power supply with USB cable and nearly 2hrs with the UMS2 charger but after the charge reaches 650mAh the charger doesn't stop unless it reaches 4.2V. So is it ok to charge the 14500s till they reach 650mAh because I thought charging the USB rechargeable batteries with an Intelligent charger would likely extend the life of the battery compared to a constant power supply when every possible and while traveling I use the USB cable way. So which is the preferred method to charge USB rechargeable batteries to extend the life.

    Can you set it to charge at a current of 290mA? I need it to charge a gumstick battery whose max charge is at 290mA plus it needs to take its 66mm height. Looks like it can take up to 70mm height?
    Cool review, thanks.

    • @SirioSechi
      @SirioSechi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      200 or 300.
      Long press the C button to enter the Charging Setting Mode;
      Short press the C button to switch to different setting parameters: Charging current and Cut-Off voltage.
      Short press the V button to increase with a 100mA increment each time when setting the Charging Current.
      Long press the C button to save and exit the Charging setting mode.
