Anyone can wear it who studies sacred scriptures can wear Janeu. Few Centuries back only most of the brahmins studies the scripts and later on it get connected with the caste system and all those misunderstandings and CASTE biasness happened... But Tradicionally All the 3 Varnas Can Wear Janau (Brahmin Kshatriya Vaishya ) Shudra don't wear because they don't do study of vedas (Or Those people who don't do studies of vedas comes in the catagory of Shudra even though they born in kshatriya or brahmin family..It doesnt matter..)
Mam can you also plz explain the science behind the fastings that Jain people do that is for continue 8 day some for periodic 13 months and some till their death [not kidding ]

You should do Sandhyabadan and keep Shikha too, like a true brahmin. Aquire true knowledge.
