I love the "under-the-table" light look. Especially when I use the Eco UV Plus, a 4 foot 3W Blacklight LED's. Adds a lot of punch and makes the room glow.
This is the kind of video I show my Grandson and partner. I have told them that we must be creative in our light shows and not be repetitive all the time. Of course it all depends on the venue and size but they'll get the picture. Great Vid Brian--keep them coming !
im new to dj-ing and from watching your videos i must tell you you have halped me in soo many ways, thank you for making these videos to help us all and teach us new things, god bless man.
bet the micro galaxian would look cool behind the table cloth im working at a venue in a couple of weeks that has a wall of mirrors behind me might try my revo sweeps pointing at them cool vid brian
I thought it was really cool! But I'll be getting a four foot deck stand similar to the ones kam make and was thinking of putting a few lights on the bar! I also noticed that u have a white cloth on the tripods of your speakers. I've noticed lots of dj's doing this, people think it's tacky but I'd like to use it. Are they specially made cloths? Thanks man
i'd like to see a set up where the jelly's are on the wall, and the micro galaxian under the table, might make a cool affect... great vid, and start putting some of these setups into practice!!
@Markus3400 When I first saw Scrim King, I felt the same~ I saw a set used by the BSR on some gigs, and I liked them, and ordered some the next day. I get compliments from every client at gigs, and multiple sound techs and event halls ask where they can buy them!
@LightManager94 intiresting coment. the laser is only a little 3A and moving constantly, so i'm doubting it's going to bother the DJ much. but the bit about shining something in the DJ's eyes... most mobile DJs end up shining thier entire light show in the eyes of the audience!
Can you please show me how you made your scrims? I love them but they're a bit pricey if you buy them direct. I have the same set up as on this video. 4 foot table & 2 speaker stands. thank you in advance.
For the vid for my initial insight, search, "how to make your own scrims, save some money" I made mine about 3/5ths the width of the 2 widest legs on the speaker stand. I cut a hole and placed an eyelet in the middle of the fabric on the opposite end and double-stitched around the eyelet to provide more durability from tearing. A bolt with a wing nut holds it in place. I had to drill a couple of my stands for the holes though. Mine are about 2.5' wide by about 3.25' tall.
Just to ADD the Scrims are very expensive, worth it to me. I have the 2 sided ones. The company(ScrimKing) needs to make the fabric THICKER because the new LED's today are MUCH brighter. It shows all the parts of my speaker stand and I do not like that. Any other have this issue?
Very informative video, thanks. Do you know if there is any brand or model similar to this american dj mega 24 pro that comes with a rechargeable battery?i.e. doesn't need to be constantly plugged into a power outlet to operate
Brian, can u please help, I'm looking at setting up my own mobile DJ business. The prob is I know nothing about lights. After watching many many videos and looking online, I'm totally lost, there are so lights out there! I just want a few lights that will work really together and will give off a great effect Thanks man Keep up the videos, I love them!
@MakeItFunkyProds Yeah, well some people get it and other's don't. I've always gotten positive comments on them from clients, planners and banquet managers
All that skrim kings is just not me. I think it looks better without them. But the table cloth... that looks pretty cool! Tho i think the table is too low for a deckstand. Everytime i use a table, after a couple of hours my back hurts because you have to bend over.
I made my own skrim kings with 4-way stretch fabric from joann's. I get nothing but compliments for them... Especially women! How can something more elegant and classy be wrong?
@dylanmc147 not sure who is telling you it's tacky. it's recieved very well here in the states by brides, hall managers and wedding planners. thoes are the people we need to please. they are made of lycro
I wondered about putting an 18" active sub behind the dj table.. Would it be ok or would the sound be "wrong" due to bouncing of the scrim - do you have any experience of this? Thanks. Great Vids.
Martin Glenn That super thing cloth will have no effect at all on speakers, especially a subwoofer. Think of it this way, could you sound proof a room by putting those sheets on the walls? Because this type of material allows so much light to pass through it, it means it has teeny tiny holes in it which means air can easily pass through including the air being pushed by speakers.
@DJNexus242 hmm nothing yet? you were not contacted by him via youtube messages? if not, send him (brian) a message at the american dj youtube channel adjlighting
@BoxRob0t you can get it for free by taking the adj university courses! go to the ADJ USA website, sign up for free, watch the vids, take the tests, and get this shirt... all for free!

Cool vid Brian. The best setup to me was the jelly fish under the table pointed @ the white sheet under it,it looked really cool.

WHOA i liked the jellyfish in the table idea what a great "retro" look! Thanks!
@ThatCrazyKarl Auto, no dmx although the Mega 24 Pro were linked together and master / slaved via internal programs
I really like that Mega 24 Pro looks good and compact. Thanks for sharing Brian!
@FallenSputnikMusic depends on where you live. i just did a quick google search and came up with the dj house and hollywood dj as dealers
Good vid. Like the setup with the led bar under the table would love that for my setup
Cheers Brian your posts are so good and informative. I learn a lot from them !! Uk
bet the micro galaxian would look cool behind the table cloth im working at a venue in a couple of weeks that has a wall of mirrors behind me might try my revo sweeps pointing at them cool vid brian

@dylanmc147 well what do you think of the options in the video?
Are you gonna do an updated version of this video? I would love to see that!
Very nice...
Now how to get rid of the hot spot.. from 3watt over led fixtures.... beside gel diffuser..
those set up`s are amazing and make a great effect.
@Markus3400 When I first saw Scrim King, I felt the same~ I saw a set used by the BSR on some gigs, and I liked them, and ordered some the next day. I get compliments from every client at gigs, and multiple sound techs and event halls ask where they can buy them!
looks beast man, think i might get some pars and bars , thanks for showing us
hey brian.. you think you could do the same.. but with an led messenger.. would love to say that video !!

Try putting the laser under the table. It looks amazing.

@BaseballGuy45 yes you can! i just never bother to master/slave them
Nice Vid Brian !!
Very well done man!

This was a good video. Getting creative!
brian after watching a lottt of your videos ive come to wonder: What do ur neighbors think of u? u house seems to always be glowing
Hey Brian, where can I get that cool shirt? Nice vid as always man!
This would make a great video contest !
hey i was wondering what would be the best lights to use for under the table ? that can go sound active or be set to a color or setting ?
Very informative video, thanks. Do you know if there is any brand or model similar to this american dj mega 24 pro that comes with a rechargeable battery?i.e. doesn't need to be constantly plugged into a power outlet to operate
Can the Galaxian stay still in case I want a background to look like a stars in space or is it always moving only?
ALWAYS enjoy the ideas... thanks again! I am re-inspired...
Very Interesting. Is there any lighting that can be used for uplighting black scrims???
Can you daisy chain the jelly fish to make them do the same thing?
Brian, can u please help, I'm looking at setting up my own mobile DJ business. The prob is I know nothing about lights. Keep up the videos, I love them!
how did you mount the jellyfish to the stand
mmmmm that looks very similar to my set-up. I think I might have to do a vid like this in the future. Thanks Bri!
-Drew
@MakeItFunkyProds Yeah, well some people get it and other's don't. I've always gotten positive comments on them from clients, planners and banquet managers
For the American DJ Mega 24PRO under the table will one be good enough ?
Is that just a normal table cloth?
Are these running through DMX or on auto?
All that skrim kings is just not me. I think it looks better without them.
But the table cloth... that looks pretty cool! Tho i think the table is too low for a deckstand. Everytime i use a table, after a couple of hours my back hurts because you have to bend over.
I want to use bed sheet wich 1 would be the best 1
Looks great! Do you think it would still be ok to use a couple jellyfish for a wedding or are they now outdated?
@jazzyjaxroadshow i didn't think about that, good point
how much r does new bars??
@saxongod1 mine just came in today as well. WAY cool effect!
Cool! :D
You really need a TV show :]
Nice Setups :) But I think the micro Galaxian doesn't have a good position because you (the DJ) look directly into the Laser all the time....
9 year ago, but still good light in 2020!
@briansredd idjnow also sells them
I made my own skrim kings with 4-way stretch fabric from joann's. I get nothing but compliments for them... Especially women! How can something more elegant and classy be wrong?
if i were one of the cars passing by i would stop and come knocked the door and ask "where the party at" lol
Wow :) Nice ;) but, where is the fog? :D :)
for small discos is it ok?
@dylanmc147 not sure who is telling you it's tacky. it's recieved very well here in the states by brides, hall managers and wedding planners. thoes are the people we need to please. they are made of lycro
i have not seen the vizi's out in a while
how much did you pay for your scrims?

@DJNexus242 hmm nothing yet? you were not contacted by him via youtube messages? if not, send him (brian) a message at the american dj youtube channel adjlighting

Thank you sir.
awesome!
OK this is what I'm looking for my set up
@briansredd I DO!
@MSDJALC nah, nobody watches tv anymore
kool
Love the light videos but for a self proprietor DJ, $299.99 for a light is just ludicrous.
nice display... neighbors probably thought it was aliens in area....dog is cool like what is going on
@BoxRob0t you can get it for free by taking the adj university courses! go to the ADJ USA website, sign up for free, watch the vids, take the tests, and get this shirt... all for free!
@nemicaproductions $299 on ebay.
Thanks Brian, now go get some sleep..
