- This tutorial provides pen and ink drawing tips on how to shade and draw water and ocean waves. Even waves can be visualized in terms of basic shapes and forms just like anything else :-)
I’m constantly in awe of your talents. Your tutorials are thorough and easy to understand. They give me the confidence to recreate this. But, of course, this is where talent divides us. I won’t stop watching. Please continue to share your talents (however). Thank you!

nice squiggly lines for the top edge, and great explanation of the basic form. I'll use those principles in my ink illustrations to impress my neighbour from a minimum distance of 6 feet. Wish me luck.

I’m really enjoying your videos and how you bread things down. I’m struggling a little on this one of how I turn these waves into a composition. How do they work together? I’d love to see a video like you did with your more triangular prism waves to know how to apply it in a piece.

Great video bro helped a lot I created some techniques I could use to help make this process smoother , so basically for the water curves I just took a stack of construction paper and bended it and started drawing it , for the water splashes on top I just thought of the letter y and those squiggly lines you see at a birthday party . DOPE VIDEO ! Hope to see more .

so good.Excellent explaining. I have used microns and copics , now into fountain pens (with waterproof ink cause I wash over it.) (i use one by noodlers, ) i have a good 5 dollar pen- Mengran brand-that will save a lot of landfill plastic and money, gives more character to the line than the disposables too.

I love your work and teaching style. Thanks so much for what you do. Can you tell me (show me) good techniques to inking skin tone/shadow without making the person look muddy or "black face?" oh haha thanks. Its like making little loops with a long piece of thread or wire or cord. Or drawing many open circles bunched up together. Try it :-)
