Fixing the SKM Lines

    This way of fixing the SKM network is not without any problems. If we assume that SKM would build it's own railways, the issues would propably be way less impactfull. Right now we have a lot of trains running trough the Warsaw railway system, and sometimes it causes a lot of delays, because, as we know, trains not allways run on time (especially if we look at Koleje Mazowieckie, and I'm telling that from my own experience). I think that adding more stations won't really help with making better transport for the passengers. Some places just don't need a station, even if it doesn't look like it on the first sight (I'm mainly talking about the places between Warszawa Wschodnia and Warszawa Rembertów, or Warszawa Kawęczyn-Wygoda if we count that one in). Of course we surely need more SKM lines, most importantly for Ożarów Mazowiecki which is in need of it for a long time now. Of course making the SKM lines longer would make them take more passengers, and so make accesing main parts of Warsaw easier, but also making traveling by them a lot less pleasant (the more people are in a train, the less you want to travel in it). Obviously that's just my opinion on the topic, others will propalby see it the same way you do, or copletely different, that's how world works i guess😅 So, to summarize, I don't agree with every part of your video, but it's really well made, and I've had a good time watching it.       The more trains there are, the more people want to travel in them, the more crowded the trains get, and the more trains need to be bought. And before you know it, you've just brought Tokyo to the Vistula.
      I've traveled by commuter trains in Seppostan, and those trains are usually half empty. They also usually only have 6-10 trains daily in each direction, and are utterly useless for people who have different trips than going to their workplaces in the morning and driving back home in the evening. They solve this by widening roads over there.
      While it doesn't really affect me (I'm from Trójmiasto) - I do believe that investments in world-class public transportation are befitting for cities like Warsaw.

    SKM trains are made just to fill in gaps between Koleje mazowieckie trains, SKM just makes Warsaw commuters not drive same trains as smaller village passengers. Also S3 line has to go via Warsaw Central because you can only turn to Targówek by peron 2 which requires going from central station. That’s why RL line also goes by central station.

      The S3 line doesn't have to go via Warsaw Central, because you can turn to Targówek from platform 5, where the tracks to Warszawa Śródmieście are. However, that connection is complicated and PKP probably didn't want the S3 line to interfere with other trains.

      @@nerdya681 PKP prob did that because in the direction of West station, the train would have to go via Platform 5 and it would make some complications with existing train lines.
      There was never a train going from Śródmieście station to Targówek so maybe they did this to not complicate anything.

      I wouldn't say that. KM is for regional travel, including commuting travel from far-out places to Warsaw, SKM is also used for travel between the suburbs of Warsaw and the districts further apart from each other.

      @@aileenmarzanna Yes but SKM is just make trains in the Warsaw more frequent and less delayed. They are filling gaps where Koleje mazowieckie trains go less frequently. Thanks to that the trains in the city center depart from platform every 2-4minutes just like subway

    Great video.
    Having an S-bahn like system running trains every 30-60 minutes is not good enough, agreed. And you extensions and changes look very realistic and like they would be well used, especially if the services were every 15 minutes (and reliable, of course).
    On the final map, I'd say the only part I'm really doubtful of is the last new line. Too much duplications of other services. Better to up the frequency of the other lines instead, if the longest wait if you just miss a transfer is 10 minutes then it isn't so bad. 30 minutes or more? Why even take the train :(

    one of SKM lines should end in Tłuszcz, maybe te line to Radzymin should be longer

    ... iiiii dochodzisz do punktu w którym SKM nie będzie różnić się niczym od kolej mazowieckich, co wsm nie jest takim złym pomysłem :) rozdzielanie operatorów nie dość że generuje jedynie dodatkowe koszta, za które możnaby uruchomić więcej pociągów, to jeszcze utrudnia stworzenie dobrego rozkładu jazdy. nie można mówić o kolei miejskiej w warszawie zupełnie pomijając istnienie kolei mazowiekich, które tak naprawdę są główną częścią sieci, i to SKM je uzupełnia! a nie odwrotnie.
    dogęszczanie przystanków już zbytnio nigdzie nie wyjdzie i twoje lokalizacje są takie średnie :/ ale poza tym twoje plany pokrywają się z planami PLKi i miasta i będą realizowane do 2035(tak znowu będą rozgrzebywać LK2, LK3, LK6, LK8 by dodać tory aglomeracyjne XDDDD) i bez nich więcej pociągów w warszawie już nie wciśniesz
    ale ogólnie dobry kontent!

      do 2030 będzie zrobiona łącznica z Warszawy Wschdoniej do ~ ul. Generała Taedusza Rozwadowskiego
      a co do drugiej obwodówki to od nastepnego roku ma tam stawać częśc IC i chb część KM'ek
